I visited this restaurant for dinner for the first time. I was able to enjoy my meal in a private room with a sunken kotatsu table, which was very relaxing. The dishes included red clam and udo with vinegar miso, simmered oysters, sweet and spicy simmered wagyu beef, diamond-shaped rice cakes, firefly squid and mentaiko salad, spring chrysanthemum salad, white fish and egg tofu soup, shiitake mushrooms and rapeseed flowers sashimi, tuna, yellowtail, and sea bream with kelp, dried yellowtail, spinach with sesame dressing tempura, shrimp, spring vegetables, and cod wrapped in shiso steamed dish, lily bun in turtle soup style rice, rice, pickles, red miso soup, homemade mandarin orange bun, milk jelly, apple pie. I visited in February, but it was nice to taste various spring flavors like spring chrysanthemum and mountain vegetables. The portion was not too large, so I got the impression that you can easily enjoy Japanese cuisine here.

There is a restaurant called "Sai Aun" located about 100m east from Omiya Street on the road between Kamishichiken Street and Teranouchi Street. It is a small and easily overlooked place, but it has a deep interior with all private rooms. The restaurant only offers course meals and has a very modern feel, with lots of beautiful white wood. The owner originally had a restaurant in Shijo Karasuma 30 years ago. This is the second location, with the first one closing due to the pandemic. Today is Setsubun, a tradition in Kyoto to visit Yoshida Shrine. Before going to the shrine, I had lunch here. The menu only offers course meals, and I ordered the 4200 yen course. The menu included mackerel sushi, sweet simmered ayu fish, rolled sushi with fresh wheat gluten, firefly squid and mentaiko, boiled oyster and beans soup, tofu with white fish roe, shiitake mushrooms and rape blossoms, marinated tuna and sea bream, grilled mackerel, assorted fried foods, rice with sardines, pickles, miso soup with celery and mustard spinach, homemade mandarin orange steamed bun, and kumquat honey milk jelly. Everything was delicious.
