I heard that the South Gate has returned to the city, so I visited with my child. I had already decided on my order because it looked delicious on Instagram. The yukhoe is great because it comes in a hygienic pack and it tastes delicious. The raw intestine is also good. The variety of tongue options is great, and since my child loves tongue, we ordered all types. Everything was good, but if the upper tongue was a little thicker, the texture would be more enjoyable. The grilled shabu-shabu and the long harami were excellent. I grilled each slice carefully and seriously, not leaving it to my child! You have to face such good meat seriously. Grilling carefully brings out the umami of high-quality meat. If you wrap the long harami and akatetchan with kimchi in lettuce, it's a delight. Please try it! Oh, and the Hormone Donburi with sweet sauce for the finish is recommended. Thank you for the meal. It's cost-effective and a definite revisit for me.

Among the chain restaurants in Kyoto, Nandaimon has the longest history, with about 65 years in business. I used to go to the one in Yamashina a lot when I was in high school. I was surprised to find out that they offer Miyazaki Ozaki beef and Kyoto Hirai beef. Ozaki beef is a rare breed, with only about 30 cattle shipped each month after over 35 years of research, earning it the nickname "phantom Ozaki beef." Hirai beef is raised with natural spring water, undergoes stomach development until 14 months old, and is raised with care until 30-36 months old. The menu is reasonably priced, thanks to their strong supply chain built over the years. I tried various dishes such as Namul and Kimchi, which were all delicious and well-prepared. The heart sashimi had a nice crunchy texture, while the Parmesan Yukke was a stylish dish with a great cheese flavor. The grilled dishes were also excellent, especially the special Negi-tare Tan, thick-cut Mango Tan, and the Fillet marinated in homemade sauce. The Miyazaki Ozaki beef lamp was tender and flavorful, while the long Harami was delicious and truly long. The cold noodles and Bibim noodles were also unique and tasty. The restaurant has a high-class atmosphere, but don't hesitate to visit and enjoy their offerings.

The shop is located about 100m north of Teramachi Street, on the right side of Shijo Street. The yukke was surprisingly delicious. The raw heart was fresh and the domestic wagyu sirloin had a perfect balance of lean meat and marbling. The original dipping sauce was also excellent, truly unique to Kyoto.

The yukhoe was very delicious. It was so good that I ended up having seconds. The namul assortment was light and refreshing. The assortment of red meat also came with a plate with the names written on it, which made it enjoyable to eat. The cold noodles for finishing were also light and very tasty. I visited the restaurant wanting to try the grilled beef wrapped in leeks, but because it was wrapped, it was thick and difficult to cook to the right level. The impression was more that the side dishes like yukhoe and cold noodles were delicious rather than just the meat.

In March, a popular yakiniku restaurant in Kyoto with a budget of 15,000 yen. We had a special dinner comparing Ozaki beef and Hirai beef, thanks to the owner's kindness. The Hirai beef tongue was unexpectedly delicious! We also enjoyed the Hirai beef tetchan, Parmigiano yukhoe, and tail soup. The quality and quantity of the food were excellent. We are grateful for the fun performance as well. We would love to visit again to try the regular menu. 😊

Located on Teramachi Kyoto, this shop offers a special Nandaimon course with 120 minutes of all-you-can-drink for 4980 yen excluding tax. I made a reservation for 18:00 and visited the shop. They also sell take-out menus, which were being used by foreign tourists. The first floor has only counter seats, while the second floor has table seats. The course menu I tried this time included a set of meat and hormone, with no rice or noodles. The portion of meat and hormone was quite generous and filling. There was a rumored "washing sauce" on the table, which had a slightly acidic taste and went well with the grilled meat. The variety of drinks for the all-you-can-drink menu was satisfying, and the quick service was the best part. I heard they also serve lunch, so I would like to try that next time. Thank you for the meal.

The Yakiniku restaurant in Teramachi Shopping Street, Nandaimon, originally located on Kawaramachi Street, has moved and opened here. The meat is of high quality and the lean cuts are delicious for yakiniku! The tongue in the horumon was soft and tasty. The lunch menu was quite reasonably priced, so I definitely want to visit again!

The variety of namul and kimchi is abundant and delicious! The meat is okay. I am highly satisfied with just the namul and kimchi.

Delicious! Produced by Kyoto Yakiniku Minamidaimon, the "New Sensation Burger - Yakiniku Shop Croquette!" If you think of Kyoto, people from Tokyo might think of curry udon! (which is also good (laughs)) It's worth trying this burger as well. I thought it was a croquette sandwich when I heard croquette burger, but it's actually croquette sandwiched between bulgogi meat, homemade tartar sauce, and authentic kimchi. The croquette is soft and sweet with a gentle bulgogi flavor that goes perfectly with the tartar sauce, and the kimchi adds an accent. You could easily have three of these. I also had the Yakiniku Honmon Lunch this time, so I just had one burger (laughs). It's right near Shinkyogoku, so it's likely to be a topic of conversation among students on school trips. When you come to Kyoto, be sure to try it before the udon (laughs).

Before boarding the Shinkansen, I went to the basement of Kyoto Isetan to get dinner. It happened to be Setsubun that day, so there were many Ehomaki (lucky direction sushi rolls) lined up at the bento corner. There were many from famous shops, all very appealing, but also quite pricey. Hmm, they are attractive but... the ingredients are not particularly luxurious, maybe it's just the difference in the name value of the shops. As a housewife, I can't really afford to spend 3,000 yen on one Ehomaki ^^; So, I chose two rolls, both made with meat instead of seafood, to suit my daughter's taste. One was from Kyoto's yakiniku restaurant, Hiro Sanjo Kiya-cho, which we often get bento from. And the other was from Minami Daimon. It was around 1,000 yen. Since we had the opportunity, we decided to try a different flavor, so we got one with rice and kimchi. The hefty Ehomaki was full of volume. Originally, you're supposed to take a big bite, but it was too thick to do that, so we cut it into six pieces and each had three pieces with my daughter. The aroma of sesame oil and the taste of kimchi added a nice touch. It was filled with plenty of meat and cucumber, and the cucumber provided a refreshing contrast. When you think of Ehomaki, you often think of ones with seafood, but for those who like meat, this kind of Ehomaki might be good too. Thank you for the meal!
