Today, due to work reasons, I went to Karasuma. I decided to have lunch on my way back to the office, and I found a place near Karasuma Station. It was not very crowded as it was past 1 pm. I chose a private room where the price was also within my budget of 1000 yen. I ordered the weekly special set meal (tax included 900 yen). The main dish was deep-fried white fish, served hot and crispy. It was topped with enoki and shimeji mushrooms in a savory sauce, which was delicious. The sashimi included salmon and white fish (type unknown), both fresh and tasty. There were also side dishes like kinpira gobou and potato salad, providing a healthy and enjoyable meal with various flavors. Although I didn't have seconds, it was nice to know that rice and miso soup were refillable for free. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing in the private room, although I could hear the conversation of the women next to me. The staff were also friendly and provided good service. I chose a regular size for the rice, but considering the amount of side dishes, a larger portion would have been better. Overall, it was a satisfying meal! The restaurant is located underground, so it's convenient to visit even on rainy days. The private rooms are not just for show, so you can enjoy a peaceful lunch here. Private room with a kotatsu-style sunken hearth for 8 people, reserved in advance for Saturday at 6 pm. The room, hallway, and restroom were clean, and the service was average. The food was also average, with a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option. It wasn't bad enough to not eat more, but the sashimi had chewy squid and watery tuna, and the tempura had a bad batter. The steak course with beef steak was decent with a coupon for 5000 yen, but I wished there was one more piece. Located in a trendy building near Karasuma-Shijo Station, it's convenient and okay for a regular izakaya. It belongs to a famous karaoke chain group, so you can use common coupons.

I visited around 12:40 on a regular day. I was seated right away. The weekly special bento box with meat for 900 yen included a bite-sized pork tenderloin cutlet, which was more filling than expected. It also came with salmon and grated yam and okra, simmered eggplant, cold tofu topped with dried young sardines, pickles, and miso soup with seaweed.

I used it for lunch this time. I was unsure what to order, but this time I ordered the Beef Steak Don (250g). Order details Beef Steak Don (250g) 1,500 yen * Beef Steak Don, salad, soup, pickles set, etc. The Beef Steak Don was a voluminous dish with 250g of beef steak. Since it is a restaurant with private rooms only, it seems safe to use with families even during the pandemic. The staff's customer service was also polite. I often passed by this restaurant and was curious about it. I decided to have lunch there. The weekly special was "oyl-splashed chicken." It was crispy, juicy, and very delicious. It came with side dishes and sashimi for only 900 yen, which was a great deal.

I came to Kyoto for work during lunchtime and found this place where smoking is allowed! It seems like a izakaya at night, but you can have lunch in a private room. They had seafood bowls and eel rice, but I chose the chicken nanban without a doubt! I love fried food and tartar sauce so much! The crispy fried chicken with plenty of tartar sauce was amazing. It was nice that they also served pickles on the side (^ω^) I asked for less rice, but they gave me quite a lot and I ended up feeling very full. I added a coffee after the meal! It was a nice place where I could sit in a cool place, smoke a cigarette, and enjoy my meal.

For lunch on this day, I headed to the underground floor of Rakue Shijo Karasuma, located at the Shijo Karasuma intersection. I visited a restaurant where you can enjoy seasonal fish and creative Japanese cuisine in private rooms. I was guided to a private room for four people, where you have to take off your shoes before entering. I thought about adding "fried chicken" to the "weekly changing set meal (900 yen)" for an additional 140 yen, but due to the recent heat, I wasn't confident in finishing it, so I decided to order the "Chicken Nanban set meal (900 yen)". The dishes arrived in about 10 minutes. The Chicken Nanban was hot and crispy, topped generously with tartar sauce. The side dish was like deep-fried fish cakes with sauce poured over it. The miso soup was delicious! The shiny white rice was also delicious. Since it was a private room, I thought I could relax, but the air conditioning was weak, so my body temperature kept rising as I ate, and I had to leave early. Hankyu Karasuma Station and Subway Shijo Station are connected to several buildings in Kyoto's city center. One of them is Rakue Building, which caught my attention with its fresh sashimi sign at the entrance. Intrigued, I entered the building and was immediately seated in a private room. Despite feeling a bit guilty for dining alone, I found the atmosphere to be calming. I ordered the sashimi set meal for 1000 yen (tax included) and was impressed by the beautiful presentation of tuna, yellowtail, sea bream, salmon, and shrimp. The selection was classic and satisfying. The quietness of the private room added to the overall experience, making me feel at ease. Although I felt like I should have ordered something more extravagant, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

I made a reservation for the early bird plan from 5pm to 7pm. It includes all-you-can-drink and dessert for 3520 yen, which is enough for a woman to be satisfied. The variety of drinks for the all-you-can-drink is great, the location is convenient, and I think I will come back again. You will be kicked out promptly at 7pm, but that's understandable.

The use of the all-you-can-drink plan was satisfying for most of the 25 participants, as the dishes served were of a quality matching the price. We had requested alcohol in advance, and it was brought to us without interruption. Perhaps it was because it was a weekday, but they handled all types of alcohol with care and provided the best service we have ever experienced in terms of alcohol service. I have used the same store in Tokyo before, but this one is the best. I feel bad for leaving food behind due to drinking too much. I would definitely like to use this restaurant again if I have the opportunity. Keep up the good work in the future.
