Did you know that there is a yakiniku restaurant inside Maruyama Park, where the gods are said to reside? I didn't know that. The atmosphere from the cobblestone path leading to the restaurant is amazing. It opened during the pandemic, so the restaurant is practically brand new. I chose the top course. The first dish was oxtail soup, which warms the stomach. The meat sushi is unlike any other, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a sweet, fatty flavor. It looks beautiful and doesn't even need soy sauce. The flower petal yukhoe is elegantly presented in the shape of a flower and is a luxurious portion for one person. The tongue assortment includes thinly sliced grilled tongue and thick-cut tongue, both cooked perfectly. The Hiu-chi and Tenkaichi are rare cuts of meat that are incredibly delicious. The main dish of the top course is the fillet meat, which is like Chateaubriand from the core of the fillet. The grilled vegetables include black shimeji mushrooms and Shishito peppers. The roast beef spring rolls were unnecessary but surprisingly delicious. The thick-cut Harami with crunchy salt was flavorful, and the meat tea pickles were a refreshing end to the meal. The creme brulee was a classic dessert with a twist. Additionally, I added individual items like Tsurami, salt Harami, fillet, Shimacho, Tetchan, Tenkaichi, Misji, and Hiu-chi. I was completely stuffed after the meal. The top course costs around 13,000 yen, plus drinks and additional meat orders. Thank you to Moon Temple Hachiko, his wife Shino, and the Queen of Kansai Meat, Ikarin.

For lunch on this day, we went to a yakiniku restaurant inside Maruyama Park. The restaurant was very large and impressive, still new and clean. We had made a reservation online for a yakiniku lunch set for 4290 yen (tax included). When we entered the restaurant, the first floor had counter seats. We were guided to the back staircase, where we took off our shoes and went up to the second floor. We were shown to a private room with a view of the greenery of Maruyama Park through the window. We started with a toast with beer and ginger ale. A salad plate was promptly brought to us, with crispy lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and baby corn toppings. The main meat and vegetable plates arrived separately for each person. Rice, miso soup, and pickles were also served, and we started grilling right away. The meat was moderately thick, separated by cut, and tender when quickly grilled and dipped in sauce. The meat had just the right amount of fat, not too heavy, so we could enjoy it until the end. For dessert, there was jelly in a glass topped with ice cream. The portion size felt just right for us, but it might feel a bit small for younger or bigger eaters. The price was a bit higher compared to a popular yakiniku restaurant near our house, but considering the location inside Maruyama Park and the setting, it seemed reasonable. Since there is a popular yakiniku restaurant in Gion, we plan to visit there as well when we have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Kyoto Maruyama in Higashiyama, Kyoto for dinner. It is a relatively new yakiniku restaurant located in Maruyama Park. The restaurant has about 30 seats, including counter and table seating, and I dined at the counter this time. The interior is a high-quality space with a wood-based design, and the atmosphere is excellent. I had the creative yakiniku course (9,900 yen) and the recommended wine by the owner. The sirloin steak was especially delicious, made with carefully selected Japanese black beef by the owner. Despite the pandemic, it was my first meal out in a long time, and I was amazed to find such a wonderful restaurant! I definitely want to go back with friends at the end of the year.

Location and taste are both perfect‼️ Shabu-shabu with female A4 grade Nagasaki Wagyu beef~ The meat is delicious, but the sesame sauce is also amazing.

I tried the ultimate wagyu roast beef sandwich at this shop among various shops selling Western sweets, Japanese sweets, bakeries, etc. inside the station. It was in the form of a burger, but the roast beef was delicious.
