I went to Kyoto Onyasai for all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu. This is the best shabu-shabu restaurant in Kyoto for sure.

I have always loved Ootoya. It might be my favorite shabu-shabu all-you-can-eat restaurant! The only store in Kyoto is a bit small, with tables placed close together, but I still find it satisfying. The friendly and attentive service is consistent nationwide. They provide high-quality and fresh ingredients. And all of this at such a reasonable price, it's hard to complain! I always go for the Andes Highland Pork all-you-can-eat course for 2680 yen. In 120 minutes, you can enjoy unlimited Andes Highland Pork kalbi and loin, as well as Hokkaido chicken thighs. This is the cheapest all-you-can-eat course, but it's more than enough because the meat is delicious! The quality of the meat they offer is on a different level compared to other shabu-shabu all-you-can-eat places. And the variety of other all-you-can-eat items like appetizers, snacks, bamboo tube dumplings, hot pot snacks, domestic vegetables, and dessert (one per person) is overwhelming. Sausages, fried tofu, yuba shabu, water dumplings, tteokbokki... Everything is so tasty! And it's all-you-can-eat! I was surprised and impressed by the quality and variety. Ootoya... no, Ootoya-sama. I will continue to rely on you. Please open a store in Kyoto with a parking lot!

On this day, I was in the mood for shabu-shabu♪ I recently enjoyed a luxurious shabu-shabu at Yasuda-san, so this time I decided to try the all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu. I went to Onyasai, located right near Sanjo Station, in a building that used to be a karaoke place. The private rooms were nicely separated with screens, and the atmosphere seemed to attract a younger crowd. I checked out the menu and saw they offered all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu, including duck shabu-shabu. You could also choose from 8 types of meat, plus the duck shabu-shabu. I decided to go for the duck shabu-shabu. For the broth, you could choose 2 types from ripe tomato and traditional Japanese broth. The all-you-can-eat also included appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. I started with salted cabbage, quail eggs, and Korean seaweed for appetizers. For the duck shabu-shabu, the staff helped me put in duck thigh meat and thick leeks. I kept getting refills, focusing on the duck thigh meat and leeks. The mozzarella cheese shabu-shabu was enjoyed with the ripe tomato broth. Both broths were rich in flavor, making them enjoyable on their own. For the duck shabu-shabu, I had duck soba noodles as the finishing dish, and for the mozzarella cheese shabu-shabu, I had tofu cheese risotto. Despite eating too much, I left satisfied and impressed with the attentive staff who helped me choose dishes. I'll definitely go back again.

We visited this restaurant with about 15 people for a New Year's party. The all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink option was around $40, which is quite cheap. For the shabu-shabu, you can choose from about 5 types of soup, with the pot having 2 types of soup. So you can choose your two favorite soups, like standard kombu dashi and soy milk, or spicy hot pot and sukiyaki broth. There was also a seasonal limited soup, which was pork bone broth on that day. I chose the pork bone broth and hot pot soups, both were mild and slightly sweet, with the hot pot adding spiciness which made it delicious. The meats included about 3 types of pork and 3 types of beef, with a variety of vegetables. There were also items like cartilage meatballs and tteokbokki (which I tried for the first time), they were chewy and tasty, and went well with the soup. I recommend choosing the unique soups over the standard ones for a better experience.

A cozy restaurant with a system where you choose two types of broth at the beginning. The meat and vegetables were all delicious, and there was a wide variety of small dishes so you won't get bored. Among the small dishes, I recommend the quail eggs! I will definitely go back.

After going to a shabu-shabu all-you-can-eat restaurant in Tokyo, I found that it exceeded the popular Kagonoya in terms of cost performance and meat quality. There is also a branch in my local area (recently opened?), so I went there. I was satisfied with the quality of the meat and the freshness of the vegetables for the price. One great thing about this restaurant is that the service for additional orders is quick! This is important for table-order all-you-can-eat. Just one thing, the information here states that it is a non-smoking establishment, but it is not. When I called to make a reservation, I was not asked about it, and the neighboring table was smoking, so if the information here about it being non-smoking is true, then the staff did not confirm it at all. When I asked, they said there is no non-smoking area. I would like to request a correction of this information. Other than that, it is a restaurant that I will definitely visit again. If I were to ask for more, since it is a Japanese restaurant and the interior has a Japanese atmosphere, I would like it to be non-smoking.

I checked into the hotel in Kyoto with a half smile on my face. It's so hot in Kyoto that it makes me want to go wild! So, I decided to take a bath at the hotel and was thinking about dinner. I wanted to eat both meat and vegetables, so I chose this restaurant. It's close to the station, and you can see the streets of Kyoto on the other side of the river. I took the all-you-can-eat course of black wagyu beef. They also offer about 20 types of vegetables for all-you-can-eat, as well as appetizers and sweets in the course, so I felt relieved and ordered a lot! I ordered a dashi soup with kombu and yuzu. I think it's quite nice to be able to replenish nutrients like this. I will visit another hot vegetable restaurant next time.

I went with a friend. It's a place I often visit and never get tired of. One of the reasons is the variety of broths they offer. I believe there were about 5 different kinds, so you can choose the one that suits your mood. Also, they have a wide variety of vegetables, which is why I always go there more for the vegetables than the meat. I always opt for the cheapest all-you-can-eat option, and I feel satisfied with the quality. It's a budget-friendly place where you can get plenty of vegetables, so I recommend it not only for friends but also for families.

I had been to O-hatsu Tenjin, Takatsuki, and two other locations before, so I decided to visit the one in Kyoto. I found the atmosphere and the food at this restaurant to be even more delicious. I tried the classic dashi with soy milk and kelp. I always order the "collagen jelly" separately, as it seems good for the skin. Recommended vegetables are lettuce and cabbage. Lettuce goes well with soy milk. Daikon radish is also good. For a perfect match with beef, try the "fancy green onions." It's amazing when eaten together. Why not visit this place once and see for yourself?

I was taken by a friend. Lately, it seems to be popular to be able to choose from 2 types of hot pots, so I was indecisive. In the end, I just went with the regular broth, but all-you-can-eat is the best. The meat was delicious without complaint, and there were quite a variety of vegetables, which was nice. Maybe because I was seated in a corner, I felt like the waitstaff's gaze was noticeable, but it's much better than them not coming when you need them. Overall, it was quite good.
