I finally had the chance to visit "Raamen Hoseka," a restaurant in Shinjuku that serves ramen made with dashi broth from the head of a golden-eyed sea bream, which I had been curious about for a long time. It was early afternoon and luckily there was no line, so I could enter easily. The restaurant is not very spacious and is located in Kabukicho. I was torn between the limited white broth ramen and the special golden-eyed sea bream ramen, so I decided to go with the latter with an extra noodle refill, totaling 1,150 yen. I also downloaded the app to get a free flavored egg. I was seated at the counter near the ticket machine. My order arrived in about 5 minutes. The soup was truly golden. I immediately tried it and... it was delicious! The umami flavor from the golden-eyed sea bream was incredible. The rich taste was not overwhelming at all. It was delicious and exactly to my liking. Next, the noodles. They were thin but paired well with the soup and had a nice aroma. The toppings were also great. The rare char siu did not overpower the soup but still had a strong presence. The bamboo shoots were long and thin but had a good texture and flavor. The flavored egg was perfectly runny and tasty. I indulged in two eggs, which was luxurious but I couldn't stop eating them. And the highlight was the golden-eyed sea bream meat. It was well grilled, fragrant, and enhanced the umami flavor. Even with the extra noodles, the soup's flavor remained rich. Despite being a fish-based broth, there was no fishy smell at all. It was a delightful experience from start to finish. I didn't order the golden-eyed sea bream rice bowl this time, but I definitely want to try it next time as a perfect ending with ochazuke. The only downside was that the seating was a bit cramped, making it hard to relax, possibly due to the location in Kabukicho and the COVID-19 measures in place. However, the ramen itself was top-notch. I thoroughly enjoyed it and finished every last bit. Thank you for the meal!

Located near Kabukicho, down a side street, is a ramen shop that might be my favorite ramen I've ever had. They use red snapper broth for their ramen, and it costs 900 yen per bowl. They also offer cold ramen and limited-time ramen options, so I definitely want to try those next time.

I went to Kabukicho for the first time in a while on the weekend, so I stopped by Ho-senka, a popular restaurant on Tabelog's Top 100 list. I had to wait for about 20 minutes, probably because it was Saturday night. You buy a food ticket and then line up to order. The ramen is made with a broth from sea bream, so I had high expectations. The taste was strong and flavorful, maybe a bit saltier towards the end, perhaps considering the tea rice porridge as a finish? It was delicious though, and the noodles were thin and fantastic. Everyone seemed to be ordering ramen instead of tsukemen, but I'd like to try the tsukemen next time! Even the tea rice porridge at the end was delicious! Thank you for the meal. #Kabukicho #TabelogTop100 #Ho-senka #SeaBreamRamen

I visited a ramen restaurant in Tokyo after a long time. I thought it would be crowded, but I was lucky to only have to wait for 2 or 3 people. I bought my meal ticket first. I am looking forward to the soup made with golden eye snapper broth. The service was quick, and there were descriptions on the menu indicating their commitment to quality ingredients. The broth had a strong flavor and was delicious. The saltiness was a bit on the stronger side for me, and there was a good amount of oil. The noodles were thin and mixed well with the soup. I was also curious about the limited edition option with lobster.

I rarely go to Kabukicho. As expected, there are many foreigners here. I found a ramen shop a little off Godzilla Street and decided to go in since there were seats available. They had a special dish called Kinmedai Ramen. I ordered the Kinmedai Ramen with seasoned egg for 1000 yen. Once inside, I realized it was part of the Hashida group. The first surprise was how quickly the ramen was served. It came out in an instant. The aroma was nice. The noodles were thin, almost like Hakata ramen. They were smooth and delicious. Perhaps the thin noodles contributed to the quick service. The chashu was finely sliced and moist. The yolk of the seasoned egg was a beautiful orange color. The soup was the highlight, very delicious. They recommended adding rice for ochazuke to finish the meal with the soup. It was such a tasty soup that I couldn't bear to leave any leftovers. I finished every drop.

Late-night visit to a ramen shop❣️ Surprisingly no line this time, so I decided to give it a try. The salt ramen with sea bream was served in about 5-6 minutes in a nearly full restaurant! The presentation looked a bit sloppy, which was unexpected for a renowned shop. However, the soup was delicious with a rich sea bream flavor! The bamboo shoots and char siu were also tasty. Overall, it was a satisfying meal♪♪♪ But if I had to choose, I might prefer the seafood ramen at Kaishin on the other side of Shinjuku. The presentation upon serving was a bit disappointing after all.

Hello, it's Mogusuke! The password is "Delicious has 0 calories!" Today, I would like to introduce the Shinjuku restaurant "Raamen Housenka".
"Raamen Housenka" in Shinjuku is the second brand of the popular ramen shop "Yashida"! You can enjoy a light ramen with the deliciousness of golden eye snapper, perfect for both a late-night meal or lunch in Shinjuku (note that the last order is at 22:45). The thinly sliced rare chashu and thin noodles blend perfectly with the broth and are incredibly delicious! Delicious has 0 calories! Be sure to stop by when you're in Shinjuku.
- Budget: ¥800-1000 per person

- Taste, Ambiance, Ramen Satisfaction Level: ⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
Lastly, a fun fact: Although golden eye snapper has "snapper" in its name, it is not actually a member of the snapper family but a separate fish (Kinmedai genus, Kinmedai family) and is actually a deep-sea fish. Interesting, right?

There are many red snapper fish broth ramen out there, but not many can bring out such a rich umami flavor like this place. In the current trend of light flavors, I was completely won over by the intense richness of the golden eye snapper. The smoky aroma of the seared fish combined perfectly, and then the finishing touch of the tea-infused rice. It was amazing, thank you.

I tried both the special ramen and the limited-time cold ramen. Both soups were delicious. I could taste the richness of the golden snapper in the special ramen. The noodles had a good texture, and the chashu was a bit rare but tasty in both.

"Raamen Housenka: Kinmedai Raamen for 850 yen. Located in Shinjuku, this popular ramen shop specializes in light ramen. It has a rating of 3.71 on Tabelog. Despite the rain, there were many foreign tourists. I wonder if it's recommended in tourist guides? Despite the crowds, the service was incredibly fast. The soup is made with fresh fish stock using kinmedai. It's a standard light ramen with a rating of 3.6 stars. Lately, there seem to be many ramen shops like this one, don't you think?"

This is a beautiful ramen restaurant in Kabukicho. The soup has a hint of sea bream flavor with a rich taste. All seats are at the counter, making it easy to get water quickly. It is part of the Hayashida group, so you can't go wrong with the taste and atmosphere.

Chilled ramen with spiny lobster and red sea bream for 900 yen. I overslept and arrived quite late on this day. I had some business in Shinjuku and realized I hadn't been to "Housenka" yet this year, so I headed there. It's affiliated with Hayashitada, and although I haven't tried their regular ramen, I come here every year just for the chilled ramen, which is always delicious. I arrived at 13:08 and noticed a long line, which turned out to be for Kitakata Ramen Zauo in front. The line for Housenka was connected to it, with 5 people ahead. You buy a ticket first and then line up. The chilled ramen is available until late August, and luckily they still had it. I bought my ticket and lined up outside. I entered at 13:20. Since I had already handed in my ticket, it only took 3 minutes until my ramen arrived. The chilled ramen this year was delicious! The soup was rich in flavor, a fusion of spiny lobster and red sea bream, creating a concentrated umami taste. The chewy noodles paired perfectly with it, making Housenka's chilled ramen a definite winner. Adding the fried shrimp tempura on a separate plate changed the flavor and texture, making it even more interesting. I finished every last bit. The leftover soup was so tasty that I thought it would make a great cold tea rice bowl, but it was getting late so I passed on that. I'm not sure if there's still time, but I highly recommend this chilled ramen to everyone. (Definitely try making a cold tea rice bowl with it...) Thank you for the meal!

Located just a 1-minute walk from Seibu Shinjuku Station, this ramen shop is tucked away on a side street behind a pachinko parlor. In this area, various eateries such as house ramen shops, set meal restaurants, and hamburger joints have come and gone every few months, but since "Ra-men Housenka" from the "Hayashida Group" opened in 2018, the management seems to have stabilized. Today, I tried their signature dish, the Kinmedai Ramen Special (1050 yen). The soup, made from the broth of the high-quality fish Kinmedai, is light and packed with umami and sweetness, making it a unique and exquisite broth. The whole wheat straight noodles complement the soup perfectly. The toppings, including tender, low-temperature cooked chashu pork, a moist and sweet seasoned egg, extra-long menma bamboo shoots, chopped purple onions, and green onions, were all top-notch. As expected from a restaurant in the "Hayashida Group," there was no compromise in quality, and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meal.

I arrived 10 minutes before LO on Saturday and was able to enter without waiting. I ordered the Laa Men and Kinmedai Chazuke. This may be the most impressed I've ever been by ramen!!! The moment I took a sip of the soup, the flavor of the Kinmedai spread throughout my mouth... Is this really "Kinmedai itself"? The straight thin noodles (whole grain) that are common in seafood soup were also really delicious as they mixed with the soup. And the fragrant flavor of the grilled Kinmedai! The finely grilled Kinmedai with a crispy texture was an amazing accent to the dish. Despite being tempted to finish all the soup due to its deliciousness, I saved some for the Kinmedai Chazuke, and when I poured it over, it was a perfect light chazuke to end the meal. When you add plenty of wasabi and soup, it becomes so delicious that it's addictive. This place has a rating of 3.71 on Tabelog, which seems too low considering how delicious the food is. The staff were also very friendly, and all this cost only 1050 yen for Laa Men and Kinmedai Chazuke. Isn't the cost performance just too good? When you think about it calmly, isn't 850 yen for Kinmedai ramen a really good deal? I highly recommend this ramen shop!!!!

I was drawn to the summer limited edition ramen! They don't offer extra noodles or larger portions, which seems to be a characteristic of Hayashida-style ramen. The rare chashu and long, thinly sliced menma bamboo shoots are seasoned well. You can also add fried tempura flakes on the side. I took a sip of the soup... Hmm, I can hardly taste the lobster flavor. There is a subtle aroma, but the soup is delicious with a hint of red snapper broth. However, since there are plenty of small shrimp (maybe sakura shrimp?), you can definitely taste them. I added all the tempura flakes! The rare chashu is undeniably delicious, and the seasoned green onions complement the soup well. This cold ramen is perfect for hot days! It's best to think of it as cold dashi ramen rather than expecting a lobster flavor. The noodles have a great texture and are delicious as always.

I skipped lunch and I'm sweating a lot, so I need to replenish my salt intake. Even though it's Thursday, I'm justifying having ramen. I went to "Raamen Housenka" in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, which is part of the Yaoshida Group and ranked in the top 5000 on Tabelog. I had the Raamen with an extra serving of noodles for 950 yen. The soup made with golden sea bream has a rich umami flavor, a slight charred taste, and the whole wheat noodles create a perfect trio. It seems like having ochazuke is a must.

Located in the questionable area of Kabukicho, this ramen shop is frequented by many older men trying to lure customers in. I tried the limited-time special, the Lobster and Red Snapper Ramen. The lobster flavor is not very prominent, probably just used as lobster oil, but the small shrimp scattered throughout give it a sense of eating shrimp. The Red Snapper Ramen uses regular Red Snapper, so it's more like a variation of the usual ramen. Personally, I wished I had tried the cold version as I was getting tired of the usual flavors. Overall, it's a ramen shop with delicious broth. Another satisfying meal.

Today, I had a drinking party in Shinjuku and I wanted to have ramen as a closing meal, so I visited this place. Although I have passed by this restaurant many times, it has been 2 years since my last visit. I ordered the special ramen for 1050 yen. After waiting for about 5 minutes, it was served. This ramen is known for its sea bream broth, and it really tastes like sea bream. You can truly taste the sea bream broth in this ramen. The sea bream broth is so delicious that it perfectly complements the noodles, char siu that tastes like roast beef, and bamboo shoots. It is an incredibly delicious ramen! I even finished the soup completely, which shows how good it was. I will definitely visit this ramen shop many more times in the future.

This time, I visited "Raamen Housenka" located near Shinjuku Station. This is a very unique restaurant where you can enjoy ramen made with golden threadfin bream. The soup is rich in the flavor of golden threadfin bream and goes perfectly with the medium-thick noodles. The golden threadfin bream tea pickles are also popular, and many people were seen enjoying them after eating ramen. It was light and easy to eat!

After finishing the Settlers of Catan national tournament final, around 9:30 PM, I walked about 100 meters from the venue to this place. They have a system where you buy a meal ticket first before lining up. I ordered the special golden eye snapper dipping noodles for 1100 yen. The soup is rich but has a punch to it, really delicious. I ended the day with 4 games and 1 win. It was a very fulfilling and memorable day.

It was around 12 o'clock on a holiday, and there were about 3 people waiting. We didn't have to wait long to get seated. I ordered the ramen with seasoned egg and golden eye snapper. The soup had a strong fishy smell at first, which I'm not a big fan of, but as I ate it mixed with the toppings, it had a nice savory aroma. The noodles had a sharp smell that I didn't particularly like. It was mentioned that the restaurant was part of the "Hayashida" group, which I usually enjoy, but this one didn't quite match my preferences. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the meal. Thank you.
