I go here quite often, but it's been a while since I took a photo to share. I believe this place in Nerima Station serves the best ramen. It's a highly competitive area, but the quality is always top-notch and I enjoy it every time. I recommend checking out the reviews from the past. I only visit when there's no line, as it's usually crowded. I'm originally from Takadanobaba, but I've been a regular here for many visits. I've only been to Watanabe once though. The limited edition items always look delicious. I especially love the smoked flavored egg.

Special Chinese soba for 1,150 yen. Yesterday, I had a remote meeting followed by going into the office, so I decided to stop by in Nerima for some noodles. I suddenly thought about trying GOTTSU-san, a restaurant that has received various accolades such as former Michelin Bib Gourmand, Top 100 on Tabelog, and TRY Target. It had been two years since my last visit. I arrived at 11:35 with no line outside (although a line formed 5 minutes later). Since it had been a while, I was considering trying their signature chicken-pork-bonito white broth "ramen," but I was also curious about their "Chinese soba" which I hadn't tried before, so I ordered that instead. This one features a clear broth made from chicken, pork, and seafood. While waiting, I saw everyone enjoying the "ramen," which looked really delicious, making me slightly regret my choice. The bowl arrived in 6 minutes. Oh, the soup! It was delicious! The punch of chicken broth, animal-based flavors, soy sauce, and lingering seafood dashi were all strong and impressive. This soup exceeded my expectations by far, making me really happy. The thin noodles had a good chew and paired well with the flavorful soup. The chashu and wontons were tasty, but what stood out for me was the green onions. The combination of green and white onions added a dramatic flavor change to the delicate soup. The egg was also perfectly cooked. Overall, GOTTSU-san, known for their default ramen and maze soba, was truly impressive with their Chinese soba. It was delicious!

I visited RAMEN GOTTSU, located a few minutes' walk from Nerima Station North Exit on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. It seems to be run by a husband and wife. It was a three-day weekend lunchtime, and there was a line of about three people outside the store. There was a variety of customers, including families, couples, and elderly individuals, creating a lively atmosphere. There are a few bicycle parking spaces in front of the store, so it's okay to come by bike, but there is no parking lot, which reflects the characteristics of the location. The store has a stylish exterior sign and decorations inside, creating a nice atmosphere. The menu includes ramen, chuka soba, tsukemen, abura soba, kids' ramen, and rice dishes. I ordered the recommended ramen for 950 yen. After waiting outside for about 10 minutes, I was guided to buy a meal ticket and wait outside again. The store has only 8 seats at an L-shaped counter. The wife of the owner was very efficient, handling various tasks in the kitchen and serving customers, ensuring a smooth operation. The interior of the store is cool with good air conditioning, and there is self-service water and condiments on the tables. The ramen was served in a thick porcelain bowl, with a rich soup made from bonito, chicken, and pork. The noodles were medium-thin, and the toppings included chicken and pork chashu, thick menma, grated yuzu, green onions, and seaweed, creating a colorful bowl. The soup had a high viscosity and a strong acidity that was balanced out by the grated yuzu, enhancing the overall flavor. The noodles were smooth and easy to eat, and the balance of flavors from the bonito, chicken, and pork was excellent. The finely sliced green onions added a unique texture and the chashu was tender and flavorful. The oversized menma was a delight for menma lovers, and the seaweed complemented the rich soup perfectly. Overall, the ramen was delicious, and the stylish ambiance, excellent service, and flavorful ramen make this a popular spot worth visiting.

Fish and seafood tsukemen style dish, where the noodles are mixed with the broth. It was like an impromptu oil soba made with what was available at the restaurant. I feel bad for the effort put into it, but honestly, the soup is quite watery and collects at the bottom of the bowl, making it hard for the noodles to soak it up. The flavor is a bit on the mild side, not ideal for those expecting a rich oil soba. It left me feeling a bit heavy, so there might be quite a bit of oil in it that's emulsified in the soup, although the viscosity is not very high. The miso sauce that comes with it is just enough when directly applied to the noodles. Mixing it in with the noodles didn't make the soup too strong. It paired well with lemon for a refreshing touch. The noodles didn't have a distinct texture, and the chicken chashu had a light flavor. It wasn't bad, but maybe I should have just stuck with regular ramen.

Arrived at the restaurant on Tuesday at 1:15 PM, waited in line with 5 people ahead, bought a meal ticket from the vending machine, entered the cafe-style L-shaped counter at 1:30 PM, left at 1:45 PM. Ordered the special ramen with seasoned egg and 2 wontons for 1,150 yen. The soup was described as having a rich flavor with a hint of saltiness, the noodles were thin and firm, and the toppings included chicken chashu, pork chashu, seasoned egg, wontons, menma, seaweed, and green onions.

I visited RAMEN GOTTSU in Nerima, which has been on my list for a while. The owner is originally from Takadanobaba and the shop celebrated its 10th anniversary in March. It was first featured in a certain guidebook in 2015 and has been included for 6 consecutive years since then. Despite wanting to try their soup-based ramen, I opted for their popular smoked oil ramen with seasoned egg and spicy minced meat. The dish is known for its smoky aroma. The dish starts with pouring smoked oil into the bowl, followed by a rich chicken-pork-seafood broth and thick noodles. Miso sauce is then added and mixed together with the noodles. The combination is delicious, with a noticeable hint of lemon. The crispy chicken breast adds an interesting texture, while the thick bamboo shoots and thinly sliced slow-cooked pork are tender and tasty. The soft-boiled eggs, both the whites and yolks, are perfectly runny. Adding the spicy minced meat halfway through enhances the dish with a spicy kick. This is a must-try. Of course, I finished every last bite. Thank you for the meal.

This time, I tried the Chuka Soba since last time was ramen. Unlike ramen, the clear soup is a feature of this dish. It looks light, but the first bite is intense, with oil on top of the soup adding to the flavor. The soup itself is light, so this combination is amazing. The noodles are thinner than ramen, and with the light broth, the overall flavor is well balanced. This was my second time trying it, and it was delicious. Despite it being a hot summer weekday, there was already a line forming by 1 pm.

Personal opinion only for reference. Ordered menu (price) - Special Ramen (1100 yen) Soup [3 points / 5 points] - A rich ramen with a blend of pork, chicken, and seafood white broth soup with re-infused soy sauce. Needs a bit more punch or flavor. Noodles [4 points / 5 points] - Straight thin noodles, delicious. Toppings [3 points / 5 points] - Seasoned egg x 1, Mini Spicy Pork, Chicken Chashu x 1, Pork Chashu x 2, Nori. Seating counter: about 8 seats, table: about 0 seats. Crowded conditions: Visit date and time: Tuesday 12:10 pm. Waiting number: about 2 people. Time from entering to seating: about 5 minutes. Time from seating to serving: about 5 minutes. Notes: Adding Mini Spicy Pork changes the flavor drastically. It's better to add it towards the end. 1 point: hmm, 2 points: well, 3 points: okay, 4 points: nice, 5 points: great!

Arrived on Thursday morning at 10:50 am. There was no line, so I wandered around before returning and found one person waiting, so I was second in line to enter. I purchased ramen for 950 yen and rice for 120 yen at the ticket machine and waited for a bit. A beautifully presented dried fish-based ramen arrived. The soup was delicious, not too strong and very tasty! The chashu seemed to be chicken breast and pork loin. It was incredibly delicious when eaten with rice. I was very satisfied with this restaurant! Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Actually, I visited this restaurant about a year after it opened, but I couldn't fully enjoy the deliciousness because my nose was feeling off. It quickly became a popular spot, so I didn't have the chance to visit again until now. Finally, I was able to have my revenge visit. It truly lives up to its high reputation, with a depth of flavor and richness that surpasses a triple soup. There was a spicy element for flavor variation, but even without changing it, the dish was smooth and delicious.

I arrived at the store around 12:30 on a holiday and was able to enter without waiting. It was lunchtime but the turnover of seats was good, which was nice. The inside of the store had fans instead of air conditioning, so it seemed hot near the entrance. After a few minutes, the ramen arrived. It was served quite quickly. The soup was hot, and the noodles were straight. There were two types of chashu, one was charred and fragrant, and the other was very tender chicken chashu(?). The green onions were delicious, the menma was large, and there was a hint of yuzu as well. The overall taste was not tiring and very delicious! It's recommended to also order the chashu rice, which is big and delicious with plenty of ingredients (laughs). It's best to check the business hours on Twitter! I would like to come back again!

I like this place but don't come here often. Today, I had my bike serviced in the evening and had some time to spare. It's within walking distance from the bike shop, so I came here after a long time. The basic ramen here is excellent, so I stick to ramen rather than trying tsukemen or abura soba. Even though it's summer, other customers were also enjoying ramen. They no longer have the dried fish ramen, but they offer regular ramen and special ramen. The regular ramen is a classic tonkotsu shoyu flavor, while the special ramen has a light and refreshing broth with amazing flavor. Despite the years passing, the place still maintains a sense of cleanliness. They don't offer large portions, but you can get extra noodles. It's fun to experience the different flavors. They don't use artificial flavor enhancers and don't overhype their food. It's a delicately crafted ramen with a subtle flavor.

Special ramen for 1100 yen, seared chashu rice for 300 yen. Arrived around 7 pm on a weekday, lined up with 4 people. Received the food in about 15 minutes. Following the tradition of Watadanabe, the broth is rich with bonito and animal-based flavors, giving it a heavy and robust taste. The noodles are medium straight noodles. The chashu is made of rare shoulder loin from chicken breast, cooked tenderly. The green onions are fresh, and all the ingredients are of good quality. The spicy miso has garlic mixed in, similar to the spicy miso from Ryushanghai, adding a different flavor to the dish. The seared chashu rice is fragrant and the texture of the meat is satisfying.

I went before the 2 p.m. closing time on a weekday and was able to enter without waiting in line. I ordered ramen at the counter as it was my first visit. The soup was rich and delicious, just to my liking. I would like to visit this restaurant again if I have the chance. It was a hot summer day walking from Nerima Station to the restaurant.

I had to go to Toshimaen on the Harry Potter Studio Tour, so I got off at Nerima station on the way. I don't come to Nerima often, so it was nice to be able to go. I found out that there are quite a few ramen shops near Nerima station, and among them, this shop has the top ratings. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and there were about 4 groups waiting in line, but I was able to get in after a 20-minute wait. I ordered the "Special Ramen". I imagined it would be quite heavy based on the clear broth and appearance, but it was different in a good way. The bonito flavor was just right, and it was more delicious than I expected! It was actually addictively heavy. The bonito covered the heavy parts of pork and chicken. It's rare for me to like a clear broth! My companion ordered the "Shoyu Ramen", which was undoubtedly delicious! If you ever go to Nerima, I recommend this ramen shop.

I visited RAMEN GOTTSU, located about a 5-minute walk from Nerima Station North Exit. The special ramen I ordered was a rich and creamy ramen with a blend of pork, chicken, and seafood broth, topped with thick straight noodles. The soup had a strong bonito flavor with a refreshing hint of yuzu. I added spicy minced meat halfway through for a flavor change, which I enjoyed. The restaurant only has counter seats and does not provide paper aprons. They offer a kids' set on the ticket machine, but it might be challenging for parents with small children to eat there. The owner's thoughtfulness was evident in providing candies for children and creating a welcoming atmosphere for families. I'm curious about their cheesecake and would love to try it next time. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience. Thank you!

"Gotts" is a name that you see at ramen shops in various places, but maybe this place is the only one seeking such delicate flavors. I had the shio ramen before, so today I ordered the chuka soba. It has a combined broth, but you can still feel the depth of the seafood. The wontons were deliciously chewy. It may be a bit crowded during lunch on weekends, but I was able to get in on a weekday night!

It was delicious! (I got two extra servings of noodles) The soup was rich and flavorful, I wanted to drink every last drop. The noodles were curly at first, and the extra servings were thin noodles. Due to the limited opening hours, it was difficult to find the right timing to visit, but I would like to go again if I have the chance. The owner's service was very polite!

I have been coming to Gottsu for about 8 years now. The name of the ramen has changed, the beer snacks have changed, and recently there have been some price increases. Today, with the temperature around 35 degrees Celsius on a weekday at 1 pm, I entered without having to wait in line. I wanted to order the usual beer set, but I have work so I resisted. Today, I ordered the special ramen with the new name for 1,100 yen (it used to be 980 yen). The noodles are straight, and the soup is a unique double soup that I haven't tasted anywhere else. The soup seems to have a stronger bonito flavor than before. The toppings include moist chicken char siu, two slices of slightly rare smoked char siu, thick menma, seasoned egg, seaweed, along with green onions, grated yuzu, and spicy seasoned egg on the side. It was beyond delicious. I also wanted to try the Chinese soba with anchovy-based thin noodles. It had a hint of anchovy flavor and came with wontons. I have only tried the dipping noodles and abura soba once, but I find it hard to order them because the ramen and Chinese soba are so delicious. I truly believe the owner of this place is a ramen genius. I hope this great restaurant stays in Nerima forever. Thank you for the meal!

I arrived at the restaurant a little after 1:30 pm and was able to get in smoothly. I ordered the special ramen. It had a slight bitterness but also a rich and deep flavor, which was delicious. The bamboo shoots had a good texture. The seasoned soft-boiled egg was delicious with its runny yolk. I felt like having another one. The spicy meat miso was not really necessary in my opinion, but it might be good for those who like to change up the flavors. I'll try a different one next time!

Around 11:00, when I arrived, there was a family of four with young children and two parents waiting in front of me. Wow. I thought it would be okay because no one was walking around near Nerima Station, but I was wrong. I bought my meal ticket at 11:15. I handed it to the staff and sat down at 11:34, so I waited for a while, but it was reasonable. The first group finished eating and left, so that's how the turnover goes. When I looked at the menu, there were kids' sets and sets that came with cheesecake, making it seem like a nice place for families with children. I was excited to try it out, but yeah, I could tell they were welcoming. However, there were some parts that were really, really unfriendly. Considering that there are many people with lots of baggage when they have kids, there were no baskets or hooks, so the only place to put your belongings was on the floor. The floor!!!! It's tough!!!! There were no child seats, so it seemed difficult for the kids to eat, and the parents seemed to be struggling. Is being child-friendly just a fashion for ramen shops??? It doesn't match the reality at all. Sad. Anyway, I ordered the GOTTSU Ramen. When I tried it, I was like, what's going on here? What do they want to achieve? I don't really understand. Huh? Is it me? Is my palate weird? It's not that tasty, this ramen. The flavor is anchovy-based. It was selected as one of the top 100 on Tabelog, but that was in 2020, so it seems like they caught the wave of anchovy-based ramen that was popular in the late 2010s and just stuck with it. The thick soup doesn't really convey what they want you to taste, and it only starts to taste good when you add the spicy meat miso. But then I start to worry, am I eating this right? The person next to me was putting a lot of black pepper, so I tried putting a lot of black pepper too, but it doesn't really add to the flavor, so it just becomes a temporary fix. The noodles are thin straight noodles. The chashu is pork, but it seems like it's roasted and smoked? I don't really like either of them... The menma is thick, making it difficult to eat. It's like, hmm. There's a sense of "this isn't it." I felt like they got ahead of themselves with their obsession and became self-centered.
