I had a craving for this tonkotsu ramen after a long time, so I hopped on my bike and headed over.【Impression upon entering】I arrived at 5:30 pm and there were a few customers already inside. The staff's service was a bit salty. The price for the regular ramen had gone up from 650 yen to 700 yen since my last visit. Despite the increase, it's still quite affordable. Since I don't come here often, I decided to splurge a little.【Ordered items】● Negi Ramen 830 yen, Flavored egg +120 yen, Taste 4.1, Value for money 4.5. The bowl was topped with small green onions, seaweed, wood ear mushrooms, chashu pork, and a flavored egg. The soup had a strong aroma and flavor of tonkotsu, it was delicious. It was slightly salty. The noodles were ultra-thin straight noodles, typical of Hakata-style ramen. I ordered them firm, so they had a good chew to them. The green onions added a refreshing touch. The color of the dish was also appealing. I finished it quickly and immediately ordered an extra serving of noodles. I had a free noodle refill ticket from my last visit, so it was a no-brainer. I added pickled ginger and spicy mustard greens from the table condiments to enhance the experience. Location: Located in Adachi Ward, at Sekiya Zaike, I arrived at Hakata Nagahama Ramen Ikki. Current rating on Tabelog: 3.71, in the top 5000. Awards: 2017 Top 100 Restaurants. Preface: This area is unfamiliar to me, both personally and professionally. Adachi Ward seems to have a popularity for tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen. This place also serves tonkotsu ramen. I returned at 11:30 AM. As soon as the store opened, a crowd of people rushed in... Oh no. Outside the store: No customers. Inside the store: 3 customers. Seating: 5 counter seats, 2 tables for 4 people, and 2 tables for 2 people. Staff: 2 members, divided between the kitchen and the dining area. BGM: Upbeat Japanese music like at a department store's bargain sale. Interior: Spacious interior with comfortable seating. Other reviews: The store has a typical tonkotsu smell. The collagen-rich broth is not greasy and goes down smoothly. Simply delicious tonkotsu ramen. High-quality Nagahama ramen that can be found in Tokyo. The taste is on par with Tanaka Shoten. Reminiscent of Nandemo Kandemo (haven't heard that in a while). Tanaka Shoten is also known for that. Nandemo Kandemo's president was quite distinctive. Finished without any extras. The hot soup enhanced the flavor. The broth is not just rich but also has depth. It's not too heavy in tonkotsu flavor (in my personal opinion). The tonkotsu smell is not too strong. The soup was piping hot, making it even more delicious. It's not as thick as some ramen places in Tokyo, but it's certainly flavorful. Hmm, it's on the lighter side, maybe. Well, ramen has been getting richer these days, so I do remember it used to be like this, rich and flavorful (although my memory is vague). The soup was served piping hot, doubling the deliciousness. Just hearing Nandemo Kandemo brings back memories of The Tigers of Money. It reminds me of the excitement at school. I remember feeling strangely moved the first time I went to a Nandemo Kandemo restaurant. Nostalgic. If I were to rate it like in Power Pro Baseball stats, it would be like Meat C - if you don't like tonkotsu, this isn't for you. Power C - a bit weak in punch. Speed E - quite far from being a game-changer. Arm D - just your average ramen shop. Not bad, but not outstanding either. I visited the restaurant for lunch around 2 pm, so the place was not crowded. The atmosphere was a bit casual with mostly table seating, but it was clean. The staff seemed a bit unfriendly. I ordered ramen with mushrooms as a topping, with firm noodles, and a side of spicy cod roe rice. The food came out quickly, with plenty of mushrooms on top of the noodles, along with thick slices of pork and green onions. The soup was light at first, but had a rich flavor that followed. The mushrooms were crunchy, the noodles matched well with the soup, and the pork was tender and flavorful. The spicy cod roe rice was also delicious. I had planned to order an extra serving of noodles, but I was already full, so I ended my meal there. I finished all the soup. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back.

After 1 PM, there were seats available at the lunch counter at Ikki-san. I ordered the Negi Ramen for 830 yen, with extra firm noodles. It was delicious! I added sesame and red ginger to the first bowl, and ordered a second bowl with extra firm noodles, spicy mustard greens, and garlic. I finished it all in no time. It was so good - thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since I last visited! I used to come with my family, but this time I came alone. I went around 6:05 p.m. on Friday, and there were about two groups of customers already there. Visited for lunch on the weekend. There were 5 parking spots behind the apartment building across from the store. Inside, there were a few seats available at the counter, and we were seated there. When I heard "Nagahama ramen," I had the impression that it would have a strong smell like Hakata ramen, but it was only slightly noticeable. It's a place where you order at the counter. I ordered the Negi Ramen for ¥830 and the Kikurage for ¥120. The food was served within seconds. First, I took a sip of the soup. It had a light umami flavor and was refreshing. I asked for the noodles to be firm. The firmness of the noodles can vary depending on the restaurant, so I usually order them one level firmer than normal. The noodles were slightly undercooked with a bit of a chew, but not powdery. I ended up ordering two extra servings of noodles with the same firmness. I enjoyed the meal and finished it all. I suddenly craved tonkotsu ramen and visited Ikki in Adachi-ku. Even though I haven't been to Kyushu recently, I read that you can still enjoy delicious tonkotsu ramen in Tokyo. This time, I ordered the chashu ramen and regular ramen. It was delicious, but I still feel like it doesn't quite compare to the real deal in Kyushu. Maybe I had set my expectations too high.

[First Visit on July 11, 2023] From Nishiarai Daishi Nishi Station "West Exit," head towards Tani Zaike Station on Ogawa Bridge Street, cross the Koshu Kita Street, then turn left. Without crossing Tokyo Women's Medical University Street, turn right and you will soon see the shop on your right. I had taken a day off and had a post-operative examination at the hospital in the morning. After that, I decided to visit this shop. I arrived around 2:00 PM on a weekday, with three other customers inside. It was my first visit to this shop, and after waiting for over 4 hours at the hospital, I tried calling to check the situation, but couldn't get through. Despite the lack of crowd, the visit was a bit disappointing. I ordered the "ramen" as a safe choice. It arrived in less than 3 minutes. This shop specializes in Nagahama tonkotsu ramen, which I usually find unappealing due to the smell. However, unlike the other popular shop in Adachi Ward, the smell was not strong inside or outside the shop, which was lucky for me. The ramen did have a smell, but the soup was surprisingly delicious. It had a collagen-rich texture, but it was not overly sticky and had a slight sweetness, making it very tasty. The noodles, which I had requested to be "firm," were a bit undercooked and slightly powdery, unlike what I expected. Since I enjoyed the soup, I ordered an extra serving of noodles at the "regular" firmness level. The noodles were cooked perfectly this time, with a satisfying firmness. Adding to the deliciousness of the meal. It made a significant difference. It is important to know one's preferences. The soup was so tasty that I waited until almost the end to change the taste. I added some spicy pickled vegetables from the table. Despite adding only a small amount, it was quite spicy. Those who are not fond of spiciness should be cautious. I entered the restaurant as soon as it opened. It was my first time eating here during lunch. There were only three other customers until I finished eating and left. The ratings are high, but I've never seen a line here. Maybe it's because of the location. Well, it's convenient for me not to have to wait in line. The food felt slightly less flavorful during lunch compared to dinner, but it was still delicious.

First visit. It seems to be a shop that competes with Tanaka Shoten for tonkotsu ramen in Adachi Ward. The unique smell of tonkotsu was coming from outside the shop. I ordered the ramen. The easy-to-drink soup and thin noodles matched well and were delicious. However, to be honest, personally, I preferred the ramen from Tanaka Shoten. If I ever come to this area again, I would honestly choose Tanaka Shoten.

Visited in June 2023, had the Ramen 700 for 3.71, normal extra noodles for 120, total bill was 820 with PayPay payment. Due to some circumstances, I headed to Nishiarai Daishi Nishi at night. It was my first time riding the Nippori Toneri Liner. It's like the Yurikamome line. Before my appointment, I wanted to grab a bite, so I searched and found this place in Tani Zaike, just a little closer (though still a 10-minute walk from either direction). The tonkotsu ramen had just the right amount of volume. I won't nitpick about whether it's Hakata or Nagahama style! Arrived in 12-13 minutes from Tani Zaike station. It was around 7:30 pm, and I only passed by one person on the way. Is this really Tokyo? There were 3 customers before me and none after. One person in the kitchen, one in the hall, both in black t-shirts. I was guided to the counter. There was a slight pork bone smell. I ordered the ramen verbally. The noodles were normal. The tonkotsu ramen arrived in less than 2 minutes. I started eating right away. First, as it is. The crunchy wood ear mushrooms were impressive. The soup was not light, but it was a normal and delicious tonkotsu ramen without any distinctive features like being too thick. I ordered extra noodles, which were firm. I wanted to enjoy the second bowl with pickled greens and red ginger, but I didn't want to put them directly in the soup, so when my extra noodles plate was empty, I transferred the pickled greens to a separate plate, and the man in the hall brought me a small dish, saying, "I'm sorry, it might lose its color if you put it directly in the soup, please use this." That's thoughtful! There were some brown bits at the bottom of the bowl. My lips were almost chapped. Well, it was delicious. But I probably wouldn't come all the way here again.

I ordered the Hakata Nagahama ramen at Ikki, a ramen shop in Taniiguchi. The smell of pork bone broth near the shop was quite strong. I ordered the ramen with firm noodles. The soup was rich and easy to drink, without any rough bone texture. I also ordered an extra serving of noodles with firm texture, but I found it a bit too sticky for my liking. I think I would have preferred noodles that were cooked a bit firmer or normal. The taste changes significantly with the addition of spicy mustard greens, so be careful not to add too much if you're not a fan of spicy food. After paying the bill, I received a free extra noodle voucher and left the shop. To get here, it's convenient to take the bus route 48 from Nippori to Minuma Daishinsui Park Station, or the route 48-2 to Kaga Danchi (loop). The frequency of buses may be limited.

Suddenly I felt like eating Hakata ramen, so I went to my familiar place. I topped it with simmered egg and wood ear mushrooms. I chose the noodles to be firm. I can't handle too heavy flavors anymore due to my age, but the seasoning here is just right. I ordered an extra serving of noodles, making them firm, and added plenty of pickled ginger for a change in flavor. I used to be able to eat three or four servings in the past, but now I only eat one serving and go easy on it. They give you a ticket for an extra serving, so I end up coming back here often.

I'm from Fukuoka and I'm very particular about Hakata ramen, but the ramen here was delicious. It was so good that I finished it in an instant, so I quickly ordered an extra serving of thick noodles. Before I could even relax, the extra noodles arrived promptly. There was some pickled mustard greens available, so I added them for a change in flavor, but it was so spicy! The soup turned bright red and even heated up my mouth. I started sweating, so I borrowed some tissues from under the table and managed to cool down. I topped it off with a soft-boiled egg, and it soaked up the broth nicely, with the yolk being sweet and tasty. Highly recommended. I was able to enjoy the taste of Fukuoka, so I don't need to go back home for a while!

I'm not a big fan of Hakata ramen, but for some reason I felt like having it today. It was the first day of Golden Week, and when the restaurant opened, there were already four customers waiting in line, filling up about half of the seats. The size of the restaurant seemed just right, not too crowded. The ramen was normal, the extra noodles were average, and the seasoned boiled egg was delicious. I prefer the noodles to be firm. Overall, I still don't really understand Hakata ramen. I got a ticket for an extra serving of noodles, but it made me feel like I lost out.

On a regular day at 11:25, I was the first in line (*^^*) The sun was out and it was warm, so I took off my jacket and bought a drink from the vending machine while waiting. I had the "Ramen" at Harigane for 800 yen... it was delicious as always. I didn't feel like it was lacking much, so maybe it was a good day for them? When I ordered an extra serving, it was a bit lighter, so I added some sauce and spicy pickled vegetables to change the flavor. Yeah, I felt quite satisfied (*^^*) There were about five lively ladies there, but that's Adachi-ku for you.

Lunch in Adachi-ku, Kashihama on this day. Got off at Tani Zaike Station on the Nippori-Toneri Liner, went south on "Okubashi Street" from the west exit, turned right along the way and headed west to "Tokyo Women's Medical University Street". I found the shop I was looking for that day, "Hakata Nagahama Ramen Ikki". I didn't originally know about this place, but since I had come to see the Monet filas in "Shatin Park", I decided to have a meal nearby. The bustling interior, I sat at a table. Looking around the store, I didn't watch the drama, but I found out that in the drama "Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo" broadcasted on TBS on March 3, 2020, Mone Kamishiraishi and Takeshi Sato had visited. On this day, I had the Negi Ramen for 830 yen including tax. I asked for the firmness of the noodles to be hard. After about 5 minutes, I was served a tonkotsu ramen with plenty of green onions. When I took a sip of the soup, I could enjoy the umami of the pork with a moderate saltiness. The noodles were thin and had a good texture, which paired well with the tonkotsu soup. The toppings included chashu, wood ear mushrooms, seaweed, and green onions. The wood ear mushrooms and green onions provided a nice contrast in texture with the noodles. I also tried changing the taste by adding pickled ginger and spicy pickled mustard greens on the spoon. It was good to stop by a restaurant in an area I don't often visit.
