I was moved after a long time. I was able to ride a bus that stopped at Jujo Station after a long time, so I was looking for a delicious place in Jujo. I found a small shop on a narrow alley along the railway with an Edo-style curtain hanging, and the inside of the shop looked small. There were no customers at the time, so I was able to enter immediately. After me, customers came in one after another. Lucky, I guess ^ ^. I ordered the standard boiled fish and seaweed ramen. The clear soup had a scent of boiled fish but was not too strong. Most of all, the noodles slid smoothly and were just right and gentle. The grilled chashu was fragrant and pleasantly juicy. The chopped green onions added a nice accent. The ramen provided by the powerful shop owner was well thought out, but it had a gentle and unpretentious warmth. I really like this kind of ramen (*´꒳`*) I even followed them on Instagram without realizing it ^ ^ The row-house-style streetscape may eventually be developed... It's sad to think that the taste of the streetscape will change. I definitely want to come back (^^).

First visit. Today, due to a business trip, I stayed overnight in Tokyo (happy) and thus became a leisurely Sunday walk for this middle-aged person (laughs). Unfortunately, the Cha Cha Cha with a disappointing outcome will be the final showdown tonight. Waking up to cool mornings for consecutive days, the birds chirping along the way to the nearest station seem to have regained their vitality. The Saikyo Line after a long time was oddly noticeable with many empty seats, and upon arriving near the station, went to the store front 30 minutes after opening. Surprisingly, there was no line and entering the store went smoothly, joining in for the second round, the narrow shop was almost full. Purchased "medium-size boiled fish broth ramen" at the ticket machine and was prompted by the staff to sit at the counter. In the kitchen, the shop owner and two other employees skillfully worked together, and the perfectly arranged dish was served in about 5 minutes. The aroma of the boiled fish broth was magnificent, and its imposing presence in the authentic Chinese soba form was impressive. First, slurped the noodles, which incorporated a punchy and robust umami into the medium-thick straight noodles, creating a filling sensation in the mouth. The medium-thick noodles were chewy and satisfying. Next, directly slurped the soup from the bowl, which had a satisfying saltiness and a pronounced boiled fish broth flavor. Thank you for the meal. Seems like my taste and preferences from my younger days are still alive and well (laughs). Now, let's resume the calorie-burning walk, shall we?

I had "boiled dried noodles" (regular) for 1,000 yen and "all toppings" for 400 yen. It was my first visit in over 2 years. I was really hungry, so I ordered all the toppings, which had a strong presence. Next time, I might try it without any toppings.

I visited this ramen shop for the first time on a weekday at 11:20 am, and it was full, so I bought a meal ticket and waited outside. I was seated soon after. The shop has a modern, youthful atmosphere and the staff were friendly. I ordered ramen and waited eagerly. The soup was delicious with a strong dried fish flavor, and it paired well with the onions. I was most surprised by the noodles made in-house at the shop - they were chewy and delicious. I was really impressed with the noodles. I will definitely visit again and next time I want to try their tsukemen.

Boiled dried noodle (small serving - light flavor) is elegant and has a delicious soup full of rich dried bonito flavor! It's light but has a rich and deep taste, perfect with the bouncy noodles and onions. The char siu had a crispy surface and was delicious. I was truly impressed by this outstanding ramen that rivals the renowned noodle shops in Osaka. I now understand why it's been named one of the top 100 shops for 4 consecutive years! Highly recommended!✨

After finishing work in Ikebukuro and heading back from Saitama, I accidentally overshot my stop and ended up at Higashijujo Station. It was past 1pm and I was really hungry, so I decided to head straight to Jujo Station, a place I had been wanting to visit. I strolled through the old shopping street and finally reached the restaurant I had in mind. It was just past 1:30pm and there were only 2 customers at the counter. I chose a light soba by purchasing a ticket, and after 10 minutes of waiting, I was served with bamboo shoots, onions, fish paste, and smoked pork slices. The noodles were thick and chewy, homemade style, with a lightly flavored soup base made from bonito. The saltiness level was just right, and I finished the soup as well. The pork slices were large and juicy. It was delicious. Next time, I will try it with some bamboo shoot rice. It may not be easily accessible by car, but there are also entertainment venues in the area. I recommend exploring the old downtown while visiting the restaurant.

9/7 Tried the "Abura Soba Ryu" again. The Bodyguard (Cool Guy) for 1,250 yen was on the menu again, and I couldn't resist trying the limited edition dish for the second time. There was no wait around 2:20 pm, and I received my order in about 15 minutes. The presentation was reminiscent of Jiro-style ramen with a generous amount of bean sprouts. The sesame sauce was not too heavy, and the noodles were deliciously chewy with great texture. I love the noodles here! When I mixed in the spicy miso, it transformed into a completely different dish - it had a good level of spiciness and numbing sensation, almost like eating tantanmen. I also tried the "Abura Soba" on another visit, and I definitely want to come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Today I went to Ryu ramen. I had the oil-dipped noodles with everything on top. There were three types of char siu, which kept it delicious until the end. The char siu was tender and had a gentle flavor. The taste of dried fish was pleasant and excellent. I will definitely go back if I have the chance.

The reviewer went to a restaurant named "ボディーガードはクールガイ" and ordered the limited menu item called "ボディーガードはクールガイ". It is described as a G-style cold noodles dish. The reviewer enjoyed the unique flavor combination of the dish, including a refreshing shoyu-based broth, spicy miso sauce, and a generous amount of mayonnaise and garlic. The noodles were chewy and delicious, with plenty of crunchy bean sprouts. Overall, the reviewer enjoyed the meal and recommends trying it.

Located right next to Jūjō Station on the Saikyō Line, I visited "Niboshi Soba Ryu" today. I have tried various types of niboshi soba in the past, so I decided to compare them here. However, despite it being late August, the intense heat made me hesitate when ordering. I arrived at exactly 12:00, with 3 people waiting outside the shop. I purchased my meal ticket from the vending machine and waited for about 10 minutes before entering the shop. I ended up ordering the medium-sized tsukemen due to the heat. The dish arrived shortly afterwards. The noodles had a nice firm texture. The broth had a good aroma of niboshi, with chopped onions floating on top. When I dipped the noodles and slurped them up, the combination of niboshi was incredibly delicious. This shop truly lives up to its reputation as a great shop. The onions added a nice accent, and I couldn't stop slurping them up. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for the first time. I arrived just before 2 p.m. and was able to get in right away. I had the light shoyu ramen. The soup was rich enough for me, reminding me of the taste of Harukiya in Ogikubo. The onions and menma were nice accents, and I finished it all. It was very delicious. If I come back to Jujo Station, I would like to eat here again. Thank you for the meal.

Dinner [Gourmet Ramen TOKYO Top 100 Shops 2022] ■ Lightly Salted Shrimp Ramen Regular ¥1000 (tax included)
When you get off at Jujo Station in Kita Ward, Tokyo, you may notice a shrimp aroma lingering in the air. Because just a minute's walk from the station is the renowned shrimp ramen shop called "Niboshi Soba Ryu." It is selected as one of the top 100 shops on Gourmet Ramen and has won numerous awards at the TRY Ramen Grand Prix. The shop operates continuously from 11:00 to 21:00 on weekends, which is convenient. I visited around 16:30 on a weekend, and there were no other customers. Inside the shop, cardboard boxes of shrimp are stacked, with only about 7 counter seats available. The menu includes a variety of ramen options, such as light, rich, soupless ramen, and dipping noodles.
I purchased the "Lightly Salted Shrimp Ramen" at the ticket vending machine by the entrance. It arrived in 3-4 minutes. The toppings were simple, consisting of bamboo shoots, chashu (roasted pork slices), onions, and naruto (fish cake). The soup had a rich shrimp aroma without any unpleasant bitterness. It contained a depth of flavor from animal broth, with a slight sweetness. The balance between the firm and robust homemade thick noodles was well thought out. The onions, as a supporting ingredient, added a unique touch to the dish. The chashu, seared boldly, had a delightful smoky flavor.
If you ever find yourself near Jujo Station, you might be irresistibly drawn by the aroma of shrimp to stop by this ramen shop.

8/18 Zaru ramen flow. The Hyachu 1100 yen. First visit. It is located a 3-minute walk from Jujo Station, on a deep street next to the railway line. It's great that they are open from 5 pm. I was the first customer since they had extended the Hyachu until that day. Despite it being my first visit, they had limited menus including alcohol and appetizers. If this place was closer to home, it would be dangerous. Since they had just opened, they were still preparing and cooking. I couldn't stop tearing up because of the onions they were cutting, haha. It took about 10 minutes for the food to arrive. The noodles were chewy and had a nice texture. The soup was not just a simple soy sauce base, it had a delicious flavor from the added dried fish. The toppings included chashu, ginger, menma, cucumber, and seasoned egg. The ginger was a nice touch, and the sliced cucumber added a refreshing element. The chashu was juicy and flavorful. It was my first time at Jujo, but I enjoyed the atmosphere and definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

"Shio Sardine Ramen (Regular) (1000 yen) with 'All Toppings' (400 yen) - Light sardine soy sauce broth. This ramen is unique with its medium-thick noodles. The char siu is grilled perfectly with a nice charred aroma. The menu clearly states 'light', so while it has a strong sardine flavor, it is overall a light and refreshing soup. For those who prefer stronger flavors, the 'fatty sardine ramen' may be more to your liking."

I visited this place known for its dried fish ramen, Tenjo. Since it was during the Bon holidays, I arrived a little after 1 p.m. and had to wait for one person ahead of me. The restaurant only has 7 seats at the counter. I ordered the large serving of their light dried fish ramen. The medium-thick noodles went well with the dried fish soup. The thickly grilled chashu was delicious.

Sanuki Udon Iwai will be closed for summer holidays until Friday. Still craving noodles, I channel my inner Inogashira Goro and ponder, "What should I eat now?" and notice a new ramen shop that caught my eye. I decided to try their Niboshi soba (regular) by purchasing a ticket at the entrance. The shop was small with a counter seating area at the back. Expecting a thick, fishy broth, I was pleasantly surprised by a soy sauce ramen with a hint of Niboshi flavor. The slightly salty soup paired well with the thick noodles, and the fatty ratio of the seared chashu was just right. As I slurped my way through the bowl, the finely chopped green onions and diced onions provided a refreshing crunch, resetting my taste buds for another bite of noodles. Repeat until the bowl was clean. Delicious meal, indeed!

- Price: Dried fish ramen 1000 yen
- Details: Lunch at a place located about a 2-minute walk from Jujo station.
- There was a good smell of dried fish outside the restaurant, and two groups were lined up. We entered the restaurant in less than 10 minutes and ordered the most popular dried fish ramen. The dried fish soup left a strong impression, and the homemade wheat noodles paired well with it. Finely chopped onions added sweetness to the dish. The dried fish smell and saltiness were a bit strong, but overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today's number one for me when it comes to niboshi ramen is a place in Kawaguchi. However, I decided to try another niboshi ramen shop that was listed in the Ramen Ranking Top 100 of 2022 on Tabelog, called "Niboshi Soba Nagare." Surprisingly, despite being a Top 100 shop and it being a Sunday, there was no line 10 minutes before the 11:00 AM opening time. The shop has only 8 counter seats, and I ordered the regular Niboshi Soba for ¥1,000 (tax included). It took 7 minutes for the noodles to be served due to the homemade noodles. The broth had a good niboshi flavor, although it didn't leave a strong impression. The chashu was large, tender, and delicious. The homemade noodles had a chewy texture, not my favorite but still tasty. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, although it didn't quite reach the level of a Top 100 shop according to Tabelog. I give it a Tabelog rating of 3.77 out of 5 based on 1084 reviews as of August 2023.

On Saturday, 10 minutes before the store opened at 11 o'clock. Second in line waiting. I predicted that it wouldn't be too crowded in this heat, so I decided to wait at a nearby cafe, which turned out to be a great idea. The special dish today was one that I missed out on last year due to bad timing. The soup was flavored with dried sardines, and the topping of ginger paired well with the wasabi for a nice flavor change. It was delicious.

Thick fatty Abura niboshi ramen, regular size 1030 yen. Nikumeshi, 320 yen. It's popular No.2, but I like rich flavors so I ordered this. The noodles are chewy. It's like niboshi soy sauce with lard. Not too rich, quite refreshing. The char siu is seared and deliciously tender. Overall, it's decent. The real winner here is the Nikumeshi. It's really delicious. Maybe it's the salt dressing? The seared pork and negi salt are amazing.
