Nantsu-tei is a brand specializing in miso ramen. You choose your menu at the ticket machine, and options include "Miso Ramen," "Spicy Miso Ramen," "Tomato Miso Ramen," "Curry Miso Ramen," and "Miso Tsukemen." Since it's your first time at this Yarou Shoten, you decide to go with the basic "Miso Ramen." You also order a side of "Chashu Don" for 380 yen. The interior of the restaurant has only 12 counter seats surrounding the kitchen. Your order arrives in less than 5 minutes - a rich-looking soup with black ma-yu floating on top, which is the specialty of Nantsu-tei. It's a fragrant oil made from roasted garlic! The soup is rich and flavorful, with the perfect combination of miso and ma-yu. The noodles are chewy and go well with the thick soup. The chashu is tender and flavorful, not overshadowed by the rich soup. The stir-fried bean sprouts are crunchy and delicious. The simple yet rich miso ramen exceeded your expectations. It was truly delicious. The Chashu Don was a bit on the salty side, but the sweet and savory flavor made the rice very enjoyable as well. Overall, the balance of flavors was excellent, and you were very satisfied with the meal.

I visited this restaurant on my day off, recommended by a colleague. I knew in advance that they use a food ticket system and offer free extra noodles, so I was able to enter smoothly. I went there on a weekday around 11am, and there were only about four other customers. A female staff member showed me to my seat and asked if I wanted extra noodles with my ramen. Of course, I went for the extra noodles! The atmosphere was very welcoming and female-friendly, as indicated by a sticker that said to let them know if you need paper napkins. The staff member even asked me directly if I needed them. When the ramen arrived, I took a sip of the soup. The noodles were well-cooked and delicious in the rich soup. I also tried the mini pork bowl, which was tasty but since the ramen was already rich, I thought a half-rice and dumplings set would have been a good option too! I would love to visit this place again. Thank you for the meal!

There is a ramen restaurant located on Kotaki Bridge Street in Shinjuku, where ramen shops are densely packed. It's rare to find a miso ramen specialty shop in this area, so I make sure to visit whenever I feel like having it. My number one recommendation is the spicy miso ramen. It's a bowl that spicy lovers will definitely enjoy. You can choose the level of spiciness, but I prefer to have it medium spicy. The richness of the miso and the spiciness blend together perfectly, making it very delicious.

In an area with many ramen shops, this particular shop offers miso ramen. The miso used is a blend of various types, not overly complex but with a rich flavor, enhanced by the black garlic oil. The service at the shop is average, giving off the impression of a well-balanced ramen shop in a competitive area. Overall, they are working hard to provide a solid offering without standing out negatively.

[Review] Miso Hachi Deluxe 1,300 yen + One Bite Rice 100 yen
The slightly firm medium-thick straight noodles. The soup has a rich back fat-like taste with a secret recipe of Nan Tetsu. The toppings include melt-in-your-mouth chashu, a large amount of bean sprouts, and a seasoned egg! The one-bite rice, priced at 100 yen, is a must-order, and despite its name, it has a size close to a regular serving! Thank you for the delicious meal!

I don't know how many times I've passed by, but on Kotakibashi Street, there is always a reliable top-notch restaurant. The owner of the eyeglass, as well as the staff, are professional and efficient, always greeting customers warmly with "Welcome!" and "Thank you!" The owner's personality shines through. I thought about trying the spicy cilantro ramen, but considering how sweaty it would make me, I opted for the standard miso flavor today. While waiting for my order, I noticed the sound and aroma of stir-fried vegetables coming from the counter. The strength of this place lies in the fact that each bowl is handmade, evident in the sound and aroma of the stir-frying. It may be the nature of miso ramen, but the extra step of stir-frying instead of boiling adds a touch of conviction to the dish. After about 8 minutes of waiting, my order arrived. The soup was rich and flavorful, with a delicious blend of chili oil and perfectly cooked noodles. I also added a side of rice at the end and finished every last bite. I usually get the char siu for takeout here, and it's amazing. Whether stir-fried with bean sprouts or added to fried rice, the char siu melts in your mouth with just the heat, and the flavor is so outstanding that no additional seasoning is needed. Thank you as always. It was a feast!

I wanted to try a miso ramen with a different taste than usual, so I visited "Miso-ya Hachiro Shoten Shinjuku Store" that I had been curious about for a while. I visited alone at 2:58 PM on Saturday. The restaurant was about 80% full. I purchased tickets for "Miso Hachi Deluxe Regular/Extra Large," "rice," and "bottle of beer (medium)" at the ticket machine. The total was 2000 yen (1300 + 150 + 550). When I handed over the tickets, I was asked if I wanted the ramen in regular size or extra large. I chose extra large. The medium bottle of beer came out quickly. It was ice-cold beer served in a thick glass that seemed to keep it from getting warm. The beer was delicious! There were no snacks provided. The ramen arrived 16 minutes after I handed in the tickets. The soup was based on red miso with a sweet flavor. It had a distinctive feature of black sauce swirling around the bowl. It also had pork fat in it. The noodles were medium-thick with a firm texture. They were similar to the noodles from "Hanadoan" or "Hanada" but even firmer. The toppings included 5 sheets of seaweed, 3 slices of pork, an egg, bean sprouts, and green onions. The bean sprouts were lightly stir-fried. I added some minced ginger and chili pepper from the table along the way. It was delicious until the end. I finished the soup as well. Overall, it had a simple and unpretentious impression. The miso base flavor may be a matter of personal preference. Thank you for the meal!

I went to the sister restaurant of Nantsu-tei, and just that fact raised my expectations. I walked 7 minutes from Shinjuku Station in the scorching heat to get there. A recommended point is that even without toppings, the amount of cilantro is appreciated. And the collaboration with spicy miso is great. And to top it off, getting a large serving for free is just amazing!

This time, I tried topping with onions for the first time. The crunchy texture of onions added a new deliciousness as an accent to the spiciness of miso, garlic, and ginger. It was very delicious, but I'm torn between wanting to try it again and worrying that it might change the original taste.

I love miso ramen, so this time I visited Hachiro Shoten in Shinjuku Nishiguchi. It was past lunchtime, but there were a few people waiting inside the restaurant. I bought a meal ticket first and waited. I wanted to eat miso ramen, but I didn't have much time, so I asked for less noodles. I appreciate that they were able to accommodate my request. The ramen itself had a rich miso soup with a thick black garlic oil that was delicious. The noodles were medium thickness, there were plenty of bean sprouts, and the chashu was tender, all to my liking. I wonder why I hadn't tried this place before... I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance.

It seems to be a restaurant affiliated with Nantsu-tei. I ordered the miso tsukemen for 900 yen. There is no additional charge for extra-large or super-sized portions. It's been a while since I had miso tsukemen. The miso soup has Nantsu-tei's unique ma-yu oil on top, and the flavor is rich but not overpowering. It's just the right amount of flavor. The chashu is well-seasoned and delicious. I finished it in no time. The regular size was just right.

I ordered the most popular dish at the restaurant. I got the noodles in a large portion for free and also ordered rice. As for the taste, it wasn't particularly outstanding, but the noodles and chashu were decently delicious. It was satisfying enough. The large portion of noodles provided a good amount of food, and I left feeling full.

From Shinjuku Nishiguchi Station on the Toei Oedo Line, walk along Kotaki Bridge Street, which is lined with famous shops in Shinjuku, to find a popular ramen shop called "Nantsuttei" known for their miso ramen. Next to it, you'll find the famous ramen shop Ramen Jiro Shinjuku Kotaki Bridge Street branch.
Order: Miso Ramen (large serving 225g) for 850 yen (tax included). Looking at the soup, you'll see the signature of Nantsuttei - black-colored ma-yu oil floating on top. Topped with plenty of chopped garlic and ginger. Take a sip of the soup. Wow, it's delicious. The slightly thick miso soup is rich in flavor and full of umami. The ma-yu oil is doing a great job. This is really good. The homemade medium-thick noodles match perfectly. They are so tasty. It's no wonder this place is popular. I might try the tsukemen next time. But seriously, Kotaki Bridge Street is full of amazing shops. It was delicious. Thank you.

-Curry Miso Ramen (Large serving for 1,000 yen) *Free upgrade to large serving
-One bite rice (100 yen)
Visited at 20:47 on a weekday. There were 2 customers before us and 1 customer after us. The ramen shop is located in the busy area of Nishi-Shinjuku, with the lines at Ryunoie and Jiro's ramen shop catching our eyes as we passed by. I originally planned to have the miso ramen, but decided to try the curry miso ramen when I saw it on the menu.
-The distinctive feature is the chili oil.
-The stir-fried bean sprouts were crunchy and piping hot. It seems like it would be delicious to eat in the winter, but it's also a good choice to have it in the hot summer.
-The miso soup was quite salty and had a strong flavor.
-The curry element was in the minced meat. When I tried just the curry minced meat, it wasn't very salty. Mixing the curry minced meat into the salty soup gradually transformed the miso flavor into a curry taste, making it enjoyable to experience the change in flavors. With the large serving and extra white rice, my stomach was completely satisfied. It may feel a bit sinful to eat at this late hour, but the sense of fulfillment and indulgence was irresistible. I look forward to trying the miso ramen next time. Thank you for the meal.

I eat here on Mondays. In Tokyo, I think Nogata Hanamichi and here are the top two for miso ramen. I always choose medium spiciness for the spicy miso ramen. The balance of noodles, soup, and bean sprouts in the spicy miso is exquisite. You can add as much garlic as you want, so I recommend adding plenty.

I was recommended the miso ramen, so I went all the way to Shinjuku. Miso Hachi Deluxe for 1200 yen. Glass of beer for 350 yen. It was rich and delicious! If you're lost on miso in Shinjuku, come here! I was satisfied with the miso brand from that Nantsu-tei. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I was really hungry, so I ordered the large serving of tsukemen (500g) for 900 yen! I was worried if I could finish it, but I had no problem and ate it all! The soup was quite rich for a miso base, which I liked as there have been many watery miso soups lately. The noodles were thick and slightly firm, which surprisingly went well with the soup. Next time, I'll go for the extra-large serving of 700g!

The staff consisted of two people, a man and a woman, who were cheerful and friendly, making it easy to feel welcome. They hadn't raised their prices yet, which was appreciated. This time, I showed them the follow screen on Instagram and got a free slice of chashu. It was different from the regular sliced chashu, so I felt like I got a good deal. I tried adding the grated ginger that was placed on the table, and it was a nice touch. I would like to come back even in the summer.

I visited for lunch for the first time. The restaurant next to me was Ramen Jiro. I ordered the miso ramen. The appearance suggests a strong miso flavor. When I took a sip, the rich miso and black garlic oil blended soup hit me. I was hooked. The chewy noodles with a firm texture, and the juicy chashu were also amazing. Before I knew it, I had finished it all. Thank you for the meal!

Had lunch at Nantsu-tei, a miso specialty shop. I had the Miso Hachi Deluxe (1,200 yen). The rich miso soup made me crave for rice. I thought the chashu and soft-boiled egg would go well with white rice, but I didn't have time, so I slurped it all down at once. Delicious, baby! (´∀`)

Miso Hachi Deluxe (large serving) is a ramen shop located on the way up from Shinjuku Station to Kotakibashi Street, around the midpoint between Shin-Okubo Station. The storefront has a bold and impactful style. The interior of the shop also has a chaotic vibe that gives off a Shinjuku-like atmosphere, which is not unpleasant. Miso Hachi Deluxe is a miso ramen with a punchy style that hits you like a strong blow. The broth is generously topped with back fat, providing a powerful impact. In that sense, it is a very straightforward and powerful miso ramen. The noodles are firm and chewy straight medium-thick noodles, which complement the overall impact of the ramen. The toppings include a large amount of bean sprouts and chashu. The bean sprouts, which go perfectly with miso ramen, are piled on generously, enhancing the crunchy texture, while the tender and moist chashu adds a subtle mildness. The seasoned egg was surprisingly delicious, with a gentle Japanese-style broth that was unexpected from the impactful miso ramen, making it a level of deliciousness that could be enjoyed on its own. The exquisite combination was wonderful.
