A chain of yakiniku buffets centered around Kyoto. I visited for lunch. They offer a regular buffet menu as well as a separate lunch menu. For 1000 yen, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat chicken and pork, and for 1400 yen, beef is included. You can choose from three types of meat and have as much as you want. They also offer free rice refills. The lunch crowd ranges from individuals to groups and even inbound tourists. It's recommended to go early for lunch as it gets quite busy.

Chifaja-san, I came here for the first time. Even though it's all-you-can-eat BBQ, I don't eat that much so I don't think I'll get my money's worth. The all-you-can-drink option pushes the total over 5000 yen, so I'm not sure about that. I can't drink much when I'm already full, and I prefer ordering a la carte and having small portions of my favorite meats. The quality of the meat is a bit mixed here. If they just had beef tongue, I'd be satisfied. But there's no lemon (laughs). The interior here is so oriental and lovely, I really like the atmosphere. There's even a Buddha, which is my current obsession (laughs). They have some unique menu items like meat on wooden clogs, so it's a good opportunity to try different cuts. They provide various condiments and sauces, but it's a shame they don't have lemon juice (or lemons). Overall, I think it's a good deal for people who eat a lot.

The service was great, but the food was rubbery...I'll refrain from commenting further.

There was a all-you-can-eat meat menu available, so we chose the premium option. There were many types of meat available and since there were a lot of people, we were able to eat plenty of meat until we were full.

The quality of the meat is decent, but the service is terrible. I had a good experience before, so I took my friends there yesterday, but they completely ruined our image. I don't want to go there again.

I usually go to the Nijo branch, but this time I went to the Shijo branch. Since it was an early time at 4:00 PM, it was almost empty and I could relax. The beef tongue and pineapple beef were especially delicious, so I recommend them. The pineapple beef was tender and even when sliced thick, it was still delicious.

We chose the all-you-can-eat option, but only a third of our orders arrived each time. It took about three requests before they finally brought everything. The table next to us, who ordered the same items at the same time, got their food much quicker. It was a bit disappointing, so I will give a low rating.

We ordered the 4000 yen all-you-can-eat course and the half-price 500 yen all-you-can-drink option. We went as a pair and requested a table seat, and they kindly provided us with a spacious and very nice seat. We would like to use it again☆

Great cost performance. Weekday lunch is all-you-can-eat for 90 minutes for 1400 yen, and soft drinks are only 100 yen. The staff's service is also excellent. Very polite.

I searched for a place around Shijo where we could have all-you-can-eat yakiniku and all-you-can-drink for our New Year's party, and found a place that matched my criteria. They were able to accommodate our large group and that was the first impression. With the all-you-can-drink option, we were able to enjoy our meal smoothly without worrying about ordering drinks. The quality of the meat was good even though it was all-you-can-eat, so I felt like I got a good deal. I will definitely use this place again for big parties in the future.

It has been a long time since we had heavy snowfall. I was scared of slipping and freezing, so I decided to try Chifaja for the first time. The "LIGHT course 90 minutes for 2,484 yen" seemed quite reasonable to me. Even though it's not high-end meat, with 52 items on the menu, high time density, and satisfaction, I imagined it would be worth it. Upon arrival, there was a long line of people on the stairs from the first-floor entrance to the third floor where the restaurant is located. I was glad I made a reservation, as it was quite crowded, showing how popular it is. You can only order for 70 minutes, so it truly is a light course. We had about 10 plates of meat, 3 plates of salad, and bibimbap in 90 minutes. The highlight was a spicy salad that took me by surprise with its heat. Overall, the experience was memorable. Although the time felt a bit short, it was a good place for a regular yakiniku meal.

I suddenly felt like eating a lot of yakiniku for lunch, so I go to Chifaja. Normally, when I go to Chifaja in Pontocho late at night, I always have beer, but it's lunchtime so I just have water. When it's all-you-can-eat, I don't grill each piece one by one, I just throw them all in at once and grill them like a BBQ. Some people might not like this way of eating, but I think it's a fun way to enjoy all-you-can-eat. It's perfect when you really want to eat a lot. I go there regularly. The end.

I went to a yakiniku buffet restaurant called Chifaja in Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi. They offer three buffet courses: the Super Value Course for 1980 yen with over 40 items, the Super Satisfaction Course for 2480 yen with over 80 items, and the Super Bliss Course for 2980 yen with over 100 items. I decided to go with the Super Bliss Course for a luxurious experience. They also offer all-you-can-drink options for 400 yen for soft drinks, 800 yen for standard drinks, and 1120 yen for premium drinks. The menu for the Super Bliss Course included dishes like premium beef tongue, marinated kalbi, and premium domestic loin. The meat was all very tender and delicious, especially the premium domestic loin which was my favorite. They also had various sauces available for dipping. For dessert, they served a melting pudding, matcha jelly, and a sundae. Overall, the yakiniku was delicious, but I highly recommend trying the premium domestic loin. You can choose from miso sauce, soy sauce, salt sauce, or salt and pepper for seasoning, which is a nice touch.

"I thought that 'tabehodai' meant you could order as much as you like of what you like. I visited with that expectation, but before I could order what I liked, the restaurant forcefully served a 'set menu' that had to be finished. Even though I had checked the website beforehand and there was no mention of this setup (as of May 15, 2012, the PC website did not mention the set menu at all), I was still surprised. Even if they say it's 'tabehodai'... I didn't want to cause a scene, especially with my children, so I gave up on the all-you-can-eat option, ordered only one item from the a la carte menu, and left early. I will not be visiting again.
