Visited the restaurant with my family for the first time on a Sunday. When we arrived at 11:42, there was suddenly a line of 13 people waiting, probably due to the train arriving. I ordered the Char Siu Mixed Wantan Men with extra noodles, while my family ordered two Mixed Wantan Men, one Meat Wantan Men, and two orders of Gyoza. I asked if I could share my Char Siu with my family who were sitting separately, and the staff kindly agreed to give one piece to each of the three bowls of ramen. The Char Siu in my ramen was thick and flavorful, the soup was a clear soy broth with a hint of bonito and animal flavor. The noodles were cooked just right, and the Wantan was plentiful and delicious. The meat and shrimp Wantan were both tasty, and the Menma was decent. I finished every last drop of the soup, it was a perfectly balanced and delicious bowl of ramen. It was my 29th bowl of ramen this year, and it was a great meal. We left the restaurant at 12:32, with a line of 5 people waiting.

I received the Chashu Mix Wantanmen for 1700 yen, it has been a year and a half since my last visit. This ramen place is one of my favorites for its simplicity. I especially enjoy the strong flavor of the chashu, which sets it apart from other tantan-style ramen shops and makes it incredibly delicious.

In 2023, for the 192nd time, I visited here after having Mix Wantan Men at "Chuka Soba Shibata". It's my second stop out of the four today, as I haven't had Jiro or Kaedama yet, haha. This place, established in 1977, has many connections to Tantan Tei, so I wanted to try it out and finally made my first visit! Some well-known places originating from here include "Kazuya" and "Yagumo". It's located very close to Hamadayama Station, so it's very convenient to access. I arrived around 12:30 pm and was the fifth person in line, receiving my bowl at 12:55 pm! Without a doubt, a delicious-looking bowl arrived. The noodles are a bit thin and on the harder side, using low hydration rate dough which is tasty! The noodles were lifted using a flat strainer, with a skillful touch, and served quickly. The soup has a rich flavor of fish stock, followed by a gentle taste of animal broth - very delicious! The amount of soup is generous and piping hot, leaving a great impression. The char siu has a unique hanging appearance, which I like. The six wontons, three meat and three shrimp, provided a satisfying amount. Both types of wontons were the best I've ever had - with a strong and thick skin that holds its shape well till the last bite, without getting soggy in the soup! The meat had a rare seasoning that was quite salty and tasty. The shrimp had a firm texture and delicious flavor.

Long time no see Hamadayama Tantantei! It's a popular restaurant that I love and have visited many times since it's close to my house. There is always a line on weekends. Today, even on a weekday at lunch, there were still three people waiting. I'm a fan of the "tsukemen" (dipping noodles) at Tantantei, while my eldest son prefers their signature dish, the "wonton men." The tsukemen noodles are thin but have a nice chewy texture with a good wheat flavor. They taste really delicious. I like to squeeze the lemon provided over them for a refreshing touch. The dipping soup is rich in flavor and deep, retaining its taste until the very end. The char siu at Tantantei is thick, flavorful, and addictively meaty. It's still delicious. 70th ramen in 2023! #tantantei #tsukemen #ramen #ramenlover #rameninstagram #foodphotography #hamadayama #foodinstagram

- Visited around 1 pm on a weekday. Joined the line as the 9th person. Waited for about 30 minutes until the food was served.
- Ordered the Char siu Mix Wonton Noodles (1700 yen).
- Order at the counter.
This is a well-established restaurant in Tokyo known for its wonton noodles. The wontons are filled with plenty of meat and succulent shrimp, providing a satisfying bite. The wonton skin is thicker than usual, adding to its uniqueness. The soup has a predominant flavor of fish stock with a hint of soy sauce. It has a gentle Japanese touch overall. The noodles are firm and cooked to my liking. The standard portion size is decent. The char siu is oven-roasted, juicy, and flavorful. It's the juicy texture of the meat rather than the seasoning that stands out. Overall, it was a delightful experience at Nantan-tan-tei, a renowned wonton noodle restaurant in Tokyo. I look forward to exploring more top-notch wonton noodle spots in the city. I wonder if there are significant differences between different restaurants? Excited to find out.

First visit. Today was Saturday walk, approaching Shiratsuyu also shows little sign of calming, the stifling heat of the approaching autumn seems to have also heated up the cool summer of Nishi-Shonan, the room temperature before dawn is 30°C... In front of the store just after opening at Shimokita Junction. There was no line, so I smoothly entered the store, with 5 customers at the counter. Prompted by the employee, I approached the counter and ordered "chilled noodles" verbally from the menu. The cooking process was visible because the kitchen was at the same level as the counter, and the operation by the store owner and employee was smooth and in sync, with the rhythm of draining and throwing in the noodles one after another into the bowl lined up about 6 times being splendid, with the sound of slurping echoing in the silence. It was clear that the bowls were divided by the presence of wontons, and after about 5 minutes of vaguely watching the movements in the kitchen, the noodles arrived. The noodles were beautifully thin and the fragrance of dried fish filled the nostrils pleasantly. I immediately scooped up the noodles and slurped them. The low-water, slightly curled thin noodles had a good texture that wrapped the soup well and had a crisp bite. The soup was hot with a high energy level that was transmitted to the hand holding the bowl, and the slightly salty and flavorful broth with a strong taste of dried fish was to my liking. Although the amount of noodles felt large, I finished eating and drinking in no time, holding the advantageous position of being a bit older (laughs) when leaving the store, and it felt nice not having wontons! Thank you for the meal. Outside, there were a few scattered lines forming. Now, let's resume the walk from Kamakura Highway to Koshu Highway!

If asked to list the top three ramen shops, this one is an absolute must-visit. I haven't found a soy sauce ramen tastier than this one. Today I tried the classic shoyu ramen for the first time and it was delicious even with minimal toppings. It may be a bit light on volume, but still enjoyed it thoroughly. Definitely a must-try for ramen lovers.

The restaurant, located just a minute's walk from Hamadayama Station, is highly accessible and has an old-fashioned atmosphere that is lively with regular customers. The large wontons served here are a standout feature, offering a satisfying meal. I wish they would offer takeout for their wonton soup, as the combination of the hearty broth and the refreshing noodles was truly delightful, evoking a sense of traditional warmth.

I visited this shop that is a favorite among many people. I arrived around 11:30 and there were about 5 people lined up. There is a coin parking lot about 100 meters away. I ordered the chashu pork wonton with extra noodles. I thought 1,600 yen was a bit expensive, but when my friend ordered the shina soba for 900 yen, I shared some of my wonton and chashu with them, so it ended up being around 1,250 yen. The soup has a comforting and delicious fish meal aroma. The noodles are thin but firm, with a good chewy texture. The chashu pork is not melt-in-your-mouth, but has a satisfying chewiness. It's not tough at all, and the flavor is rich and tasty. This was a refined and elegant Chinese soba rather than a bold and punchy type. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

A famous shop in Tokyo that has become the holy land of Chinese soba. I had the Chinese soba mix wonton men + egg noodles, which are thin noodles but not extremely thin. The noodles are straight in shape but not super straight, giving a unique texture that is characteristic of Chinese soba. The soup for the Chinese soba has a strong flavor with a base of fish stock and chicken oil. It has a sharp, spicy taste with almost no sweetness, which may surprise you when you try it. When you think about it, this soup pairs so well with these noodles. The mix wonton men is similar to the Chinese soba, but with the addition of wonton meat and shrimp sweetness seeping into the soup, making it slightly milder. The shrimp wonton has a pleasant texture with no unnecessary flavors, while the meat has a unique seasoning with a hint of saltiness and acidity. The egg is a firm yolk, lightly seasoned. Overall, this place offers a high quality of Chinese soba that you don't come across often. Thank you for the meal.

Mix Wantanmen with seasoned soft-boiled egg for 1400 yen. Thin noodles (straight noodles) with adjustable firmness. Double soup of animal and seafood (strong seafood flavor). Default toppings include meat wantan (3 pieces), shrimp wantan (3 pieces), char siu, seaweed, menma. The noodles are firm with a strong wheat flavor. The soup has a deep umami taste with a strong seafood flavor, despite being light. The wantan has more focus on the texture of the skin rather than the filling. The only downside was the slightly hard-boiled seasoned egg, but overall, the ramen was a flavorful and enjoyable bowl with a good balance of soup and noodles.

"On the weekend, let's have delicious ramen♪ Travelogue"... After a long absence, I headed to the restaurant called 'Chin Soba Tantan Tei' in the scorching heat exceeding body temperature(^^) There were 5 customers ahead of me in the queue. Luckily, we were in the shade, so the heat was not too unbearable... After waiting for about 15 minutes, we finally entered the restaurant(; ̄ー ̄A I sat at the counter and ordered the "Chin Soba". The ordering method was not through tickets, which is quite rare nowadays. The "Chin Soba" was carefully prepared and when I tasted the soup, the seafood flavor spread throughout my mouth(≧▽≦) The noodles were low-hydration noodles, and I could feel the texture of each strand, smooth and delicious on the palate("⌒∇⌒") The box of noodles had 'Tantan Tei' written on it, so I wonder if it was a special order of original noodles... The chashu pork was also flavorful without any excessive seasoning, complementing the taste of the ramen perfectly without overpowering it, with a delicious meaty flavor(⌒‐⌒) With a strong seafood-flavored soup, low-hydration noodles, and flavorful chashu pork, it was a well-balanced and delicious ramen(^ー^) Thank you for the feast☺"

I visited for the first time at 1:30pm on the last Saturday of July for lunch. The restaurant was full, with 4 people waiting outside. The delicious smell made me hungry. After waiting for 15 minutes, I was seated. I ordered the "Shina Soba" (¥900) with extra noodles (1.5 servings for ¥150). After 5 minutes of waiting, my order arrived. I took a sip of the soup first. The soy sauce base with a blend of pork, chicken, and seafood broth was exquisite, and the thin straight noodles were very tasty. It's worth mentioning that even though it's not on the menu, you can order side dishes like char siu and menma. I usually eat tonkotsu ramen, but it was refreshing to have such a delicious Chinese-style ramen after a long time. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at 15:30 on a weekday, with no waiting time. The seafood-based wonton noodles were quite delicious. Before I knew it, I had finished eating it. The wontons were made in front of me and were of high quality. However, the wontons were extremely hot, so those with sensitive tongues should be wary. It was so delicious that I regretted not getting the large portion. The egg was mediocre, so you may not need to add extra eggs. I would like to go back again.

I visited Tan Tan Tei, a popular restaurant where there is usually a long line. I was able to enter quickly and was greeted by the soft-spoken staff who showed me to an available seat at the small counter with 9 seats. There is no ticket machine, so I placed my order verbally. Payment is made after the meal before leaving. I ordered the following:
- Mixed Wantanmen
- Large size with extra char siu, seaweed, menma, three pieces each of shrimp and meat wantan.
When the ramen was served, its beautiful presentation got me excited. The clear soup had a gentle yet rich flavor from the strong dashi stock. The noodles were perfectly chewy and went well with the soup. The shrimp and meat wantan were juicy and flavorful, giving a nice texture to the dish. The char siu had a significant presence and added to the overall taste. Adding some pepper halfway through enhanced the flavor even more. Although I am not an expert on ramen, I can see why this place is so popular. The customers kept coming in without a break, showing how well-loved this place is after more than 40 years in business. The welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant made me feel happy, and I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I stopped for lunch while on the move. I arrived around 11:10, but it seemed crowded during the first seating, so I had to wait in the heat for about 25 minutes. The mixed wonton noodles were delicious, maybe because there weren't many people in line at the opening? There were a lot of local housewives. The soup and wontons were hot and made my tongue tingle!笑

I visited looking for wonton noodles. I wanted to try both shrimp and pork wontons, so I ordered the mixed wonton noodles. It was after 2 PM so there was no wait. It was delicious, but in terms of this type of ramen with wontons, personally I prefer Harukiya.

Arrived at 6:55 PM. No waiting. I ordered a mix of wonton noodles and gyoza for a total of 1900 yen. The food arrived at 7:03 PM, a few minutes late, including the gyoza. The service was polite, the soup was easy to drink, and the dish was well-balanced. The gyoza wasn't exactly my favorite type, but the size was easy to eat. Before I knew it, I had finished the delicious soup.

I went to a nostalgic ramen shop. I've been going there for quite a long time since I lived in a nearby apartment. I ordered the Mixed Wonton for 1,300 yen and a beer for 600 yen. Honestly, I felt that it was almost worth giving up the title of a top 100 restaurant. The wontons were delicious, but I felt like the quality of the noodles had dropped.

I visited "Chinatown Soba Tantan Tei," a ramen shop known as the origin of the "tantan-Tei" style, founded in 1977 and listed as one of the top 100 ramen shops. The nearest station is Hamadayama. Upon arrival at the shop around 14:50 on a Saturday, there were already 4 groups and 6 customers ahead of us. I tried the Meat Wonton Ramen (1,200 yen) which seemed to consist of pork, chicken, seafood, and dried ingredients. The broth was not overpowering but had a subtle and well-rounded taste, with a distinct presence that has not faded over the years. It was truly impressive.

The animal-based soy sauce soup with a strong bonito flavor makes the meat and shrimp dumplings delicious. This review is a personal note with a rating of how tasty I found the restaurant's food, along with a brief comment, to ensure I don't forget the deliciousness of the place I visited. Please note that the ratings are subjective and may vary due to factors such as my physical condition and emotions.
