This is a restaurant in Asakusa, which is rumored to be the birthplace of ramen and is a representative of Japan. I had been wanting to visit this long-established ramen shop in Asakusa for a while. I finally had the opportunity to visit during the summer when I went to Ueno, and I was looking forward to it. However, when I arrived, I found out that the building was under construction due to aging! I recently heard that the renovation has been completed, so I finally had the chance to visit. The restaurant is located right near Senso-ji Temple, on Denpo-in Street where you can see the Skytree well. It was lunchtime, so there was a line, but they also have table seats on the second floor, so families were often guided upstairs, making it relatively smooth to enter. I was asked for my order outside, paid at the cash register, and didn't rely on the ticket machine, which added to the nostalgic atmosphere. I selected the egg ramen and the highly recommended gyoza, and this is the famous marinated egg. Indeed, it really is a twin egg. They mentioned that they only select twin eggs for purchase, which is quite interesting. It's nice that they are large. The ramen has a broth made from seafood and animal stock, with the umami of vegetables also blended in, making it really delicious. The accent of mitsuba and yuzu is subtle and sophisticated, making the bowl of ramen very elegant. It may be just a bowl of ramen, but it looks very colorful. It may sound strange, but the beautiful gyoza is very large and has a great texture. It's firm and light. These are unusual chicken gyoza. Eating them with sansho salt adds a small, sophisticated side menu that doesn't spoil the taste of the ramen. It's a well-thought-out ramen shop. Ramen is also a big trend among foreigners, with tonkotsu-based shops like Ichiran and Ippudo leading the way. However, I still think that ramen like the one at this restaurant, which is an extension of Japanese cuisine, is definitely worth trying. This is a ramen shop in Asakusa with a nostalgic atmosphere. It's worth a visit.

After exiting the Asakusa Station ticket gate on the Ginza Line and heading towards the ground entrance, I got lost after turning onto Nakamise Street. Many chain stores and fast food places were closed for the New Year holidays. I visited the Tokyo Daijingu Shrine in Iidabashi for my annual New Year's visit, using the Tokyo Metro 24-hour ticket to make the most of it. I had bookmarked a restaurant that I had been curious about, which was open during the holidays. I finally found the restaurant and lined up around 11:30 AM. Despite the long lines at other places, I was able to get in after about a 10-minute wait. The staff were friendly and handed me a menu. I ordered the special salt ramen with Japanese-style dumplings and rice. The salt ramen had a light broth and thin noodles that were well coated. The large slices of pork were a bit thin. The Japanese-style dumplings with rice were delicious, with minced chicken and glass noodles inside. The combination of shichimi pepper salt and sauce was perfect, and the rice was also very tasty. I hope to try the special soy sauce ramen and special cold ramen next time, along with ordering the Japanese-style dumplings and rice again.

I had soy sauce ramen at Asakusa Myouroiya near Senso-ji Temple after a long time! It's best to go around 3 pm to avoid the tourist crowds during lunchtime. - Soup: A clear soy sauce broth made with chicken, pork, and seafood, with a hint of animal-based umami and a strong soy sauce flavor that ties everything together. The yuzu aroma adds a refreshing touch similar to soba broth. - Noodles: Medium-thin curly noodles that mix well with the soup. - Toppings: Tender and sweet chashu, bamboo shoots, seaweed, green onions, yuzu, and shiso leaves. The chashu is flavorful and soft. I enjoyed it once again today.

Located close to the center of Asakusa tourism, just a short walk from Nakamise Street leading from the iconic Kaminarimon gate to Senso-ji temple. The restaurant is popular among both domestic and international tourists, often with a line forming outside. The first and second floors serve as dining areas, with customers being seated based on availability. The second floor seems to be reserved for groups of two or more. The restaurant has a total of 30 seats, with 7 counter seats on the first floor and 23 table seats on the second floor. The menu primarily consists of two types of ramen: soy sauce ramen and tsukemen, with various toppings available such as flavored egg and char siu. The only side dishes offered are gyoza and roasted pork rice. The ordering process was interesting, as follows: 1) While waiting in line outside the restaurant, customers are given menus to browse. 2) Upon entering the restaurant, customers place their order and pay first. 3) After ordering, customers are seated and given a card with the name of their dish, which they then hand to the staff to complete the order. The Japanese-style gyoza comes in a serving of three large dumplings, each with a thick skin and a chewy texture. The filling, mainly made of chicken with glass noodles, is flavorful and meaty, complemented by the special dipping sauce and sansho salt. For the ramen, I opted for the simplest version. It had a traditional appearance and tasted like classic ramen. The bamboo shoots had a slightly thick texture, the broth was sweet in an old-fashioned way, and the yuzu and trefoil from Kochi Prefecture added a strong aroma. The thick slices of char siu had a good meaty texture and were not heavily seasoned, allowing the flavor of the broth to shine through. The noodles were medium-thick with a chewy texture that paired well with the broth. The soup, made from chicken and pork bones with added flavors from dried fish, bonito flakes, and vegetables, had a clear seafood taste with a rich and punchy flavor. Review: Definitely coming back!

I had heard that this place was popular, so I prepared myself and went there. However, when I arrived past the peak hours, there were only two groups waiting in front of me. I was given the menu by the staff while waiting in line, and I chose the "popular among women" plum salt ramen. The thin noodles and light soup with the refreshing taste of plum were very delicious. The mizuna also did a great job. I was sweating from waiting in line, so the plum salt flavor really hit the spot. I wanted to order gyoza as well, but since I was alone, I reluctantly gave up as I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it.

I visited "Asakusa Meidai Ramen Yoroiya" near Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. They are known for their soy sauce ramen, but I ordered the cold noodles. Day: Weekday Arrival time: 2:40 PM Line: None (about 20% full) Wait time: None Order: Cold noodles ¥900 Extra noodles ¥150 Soup: Soy sauce, refreshing Noodles: Thin, straight The soup was light and the dipping noodles lacked a strong punch, but the sweet flavor made it easy to eat. The bowl was filled with plenty of chashu and menma, making it a delicious meal. Thank you for the meal!

I decided to go to Asakusa Meida Ramen, a restaurant I had saved on Tabelog, because the shop I originally wanted to go to was closed. Asakusa was bustling with foreign tourists, making it feel like I wasn't in Japan. I waited in line with the foreigners, but we were able to enter the restaurant in about 15 minutes. They took our orders while we were waiting in line, and we had to pay upfront as soon as we entered. I was a bit surprised that the gyoza came in a serving of three, but it turned out to be a sufficient amount. They were large and had a chewy texture, and tasted great with the mountain pepper salt. Instead of green onions, the ramen was topped with Mitsuba, and I initially thought the yellow garnish was ginger but it turned out to be yuzu. The noodles were thin and curly, and the soup was light and refreshing. I appreciated the small cuts on the bowl that allowed me to rest my chopsticks and spoon. Overall, I thought it was a thoughtful touch.

I visited Yoroiya around 12:30 on a weekday. There were many foreign tourists, and the place always seemed crowded. I was hoping that I might be able to get in without waiting due to the unstable weather, but there were already two groups of six people waiting. I wanted something light to eat, so I ordered the popular plum salt ramen and the small portion of pork rice. It was delicious and refreshing, but I ended up eating the salt ramen and the pickled plum separately, so I didn't really need the plum. I should have mixed them together for a better taste. I preferred the soy sauce ramen I had before. Thank you for the meal.

Asakusa visited "Yoroiya" restaurant. Asakusa is crowded with foreign tourists. Waited in line for about 10 minutes and ordered the special ramen. The toppings were plentiful, and it was a light soy sauce ramen. It was very delicious.

I visited the restaurant on the day of the Sumida River Fireworks Festival, which was very crowded. When I arrived around 6 pm, the wait was shorter than expected, about 15 minutes. I ordered the ramen, which had a refreshing yuzu flavor that complemented the soy sauce base very well and was delicious. Although I didn't order them, many people were ordering the gyoza, which I assume is also popular. Also, unrelated to the taste, the customer service was excellent and lovely.

In the past, I used to frequent a restaurant called "Yoroia" when I lived in Ryogoku. Back then, there weren't as many delicious ramen shops as there are now, so I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried it about 30 years ago. After moving away from Ryogoku, I completely forgot about it. By chance, I went there again after about 20 years at Asakusa Kaminarimon to meet someone. I ordered the regular ramen for 900 yen. The soup had a delicious scent of yuzu and mitsuba! The noodles were thin and curly, just like they used to be. It was delicious and nostalgic! To me, this is the original Tokyo ramen! It was so good!

I came back here after a long time and it feels like this place has started to have a nostalgic vibe. It's been over 10 years since I last visited. This ramen was a rare find in this area. It reminds me of the good old days of classic ramen shops. The appearance hasn't changed and the egg is still the same. It reminds me of the ramen shop in Shinbashi. It comes with yuzu and mitsuba by default. I like the curly noodles with a firm texture. The soup has a strong animal-based flavor, but the body seems to have become a bit weaker. It feels like the taste has become lighter than before, but I managed to finish it with satisfaction. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. There was still the only Kyoto-style takoyaki under the bridge in Tokyo (laughs).

A soy sauce ramen with a rich flavor and depth, complemented by a well-balanced combination of yuzu and fatty chashu, and a delicious half-boiled egg. This ramen is unique and delicious. It is said that Asakusa is the birthplace of soy sauce ramen, with a counter on the first floor and tables on the second floor. Located just off Nakamise Street between Kaminarimon Gate and Sensoji Temple, this ramen shop has excellent access for tourists.

Arrived at the shop at 12:50 on Sunday. Waited for about 10 minutes before being able to enter. While waiting, the staff kindly lent me a parasol. I ordered the traditional soy sauce ramen. It was a delicious ramen with a hint of yuzu fragrance. The gyoza here is thick with plenty of filling, so I recommend ordering it when you visit.

I stopped by during my visit to Asakusa sightseeing. The interior is a bit small with only counter seats, but the turnover is quick and the tsukemen was delicious. I would like to visit again to try other noodles. The portion was large, but I think most men would have no problem finishing it.

"I visited the birthplace of the traditional soy sauce ramen at Rairaiken in 1910 and tried their signature dish, the 'En Tamaramen (with twin eggs)' for 1,050 yen. I also ordered 3 Japanese-style dumplings for 400 yen and a cola for 250 yen. Luckily, I managed to get in before the long line formed. The ramen had a subtle bonito soy sauce flavor with a hint of yuzu, finely chopped green onions, and perfectly cooked noodles. It was a delicious and satisfying dish that I can see why regulars keep coming back. The ramen came with homemade bamboo shoots marinated in fragrant vegetables and sesame oil, yuzu, watercress, a little green onion, char siu, special order noodles from Asakusa Kaika-ro, twin eggs, and a clear soup made from a mix of animal and seafood (dried sardines and mackerel). The dumplings were made without garlic and filled with chicken thigh and glass noodles."

I was impressed by the soy sauce ramen being different from before! The seasoned egg was also a first for me, and it was big and delicious! The gyoza had soft glass noodles inside, giving it a Japanese feel, and it was fresh and tasty to eat with the sansho pepper salt! I also tried putting the tempura bits in the broth, which created various enjoyable flavors! I went on Saturday at 12:30, and the wait was about 20 minutes.

When I went to Asakusa for work, I searched for this shop. It's a bowl of noodles that is irresistible for thin noodle lovers. The soy sauce isn't too strong, and you can even finish the soup. Surprisingly light, but with a rich flavor that becomes addictive. The Japanese-style dumplings were unexpectedly delicious and I will definitely come back for more. Personally, I liked the cold noodle ramen. Definitely check it out when you visit Asakusa!

I lined up with tourists at Asakusa famous ramen shop Yoroiya Tokyo, but couldn't get in without waiting in line since morning, so I gave up after trying two places. There are a lot of foreign tourists nearby! It seems that people from various countries are coming, which is good for earning foreign currency, but with the yen being weak, I wonder how it will affect the economy. Anyway, I was hungry so I decided to try the ramen here. Ahead of me, there were 3 Asian customers and 3 Western customers waiting. The Asian staff spoke to me in Japanese. I ordered the special ramen for 1,300 yen and gyoza for 400 yen. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I was seated at the counter. The gyoza came quickly and they were jumbo-sized as indicated on the menu. The ramen arrived shortly after. The special ramen had four slices of chashu, a seasoned egg, and three sheets of seaweed. The soup was rich and flavorful. The noodles were slightly chewy and cooked just right. The chashu was thick, which seems to be common in Kanto-style ramen. The seasoned egg was a twin set and seemed to be specially ordered. This was my first time trying ramen in Asakusa. They also have zaru ramen on the menu. Overall, it was a delicious meal!

I visited before noon on a regular day. There were about 2 groups lined up, but by the time I left, there was quite a line. There were also many school trip students. Despite thinking it was a bit pricey, the portion size was satisfying. The gyoza was also large. The "Tamago" with two yolks was a unique feature, with a nice yuzu aroma. The broth was flavorful and delicious.

It came with chashu, seaweed, yuzu, mitsuba, menma, and a seasoned half-boiled egg. The thin noodles and soy sauce soup were decent. Thank you for the meal.
