Visited "Taiyaki Hiiraki" in Ebisu, a popular taiyaki shop even in the summer. Personally, I really like taiyaki. Each shop has a different impression, and not all taiyaki are to my liking, but I consider taiyaki from good shops as a kind of calculated work of art! The signboard of "Hiiraki" looks cool. The red paper lanterns are a nice touch too. And I found a photo of the product I was looking for! It's hot today too, so the summer specialty of this shop is a must-try. I paid with my Suica card and received my order right away. Taiyaki Soft Serve (600 yen tax included): I was handed a cup with a hot taiyaki sticking out. It looks pretty striking. It could be reminiscent of a scene from a movie for cultured individuals. The soft serve ice cream and cone seem to be flipped upside down. The freshly made taiyaki is indeed hot. The thin skin is nice. I rescued it and took a bite. Delicious! The red bean paste is exquisite! The crispy skin is great too! This taiyaki is quite delicious on its own! Impressive! Next, I tried the soft serve ice cream. Rich and tasty! The soft serve ice cream is also quite good. When combined, the delicious taiyaki and soft serve create a great taste sensation. The cold and hot elements mix in your mouth beautifully. The red bean paste and soft serve ice cream complement each other well. Could the satisfaction of this treat be mostly because of the taiyaki? The crispy skin, thinness, and generous red bean paste make it a remarkable product. Adding the rich soft serve ice cream was a stroke of genius, making it undeniably delicious. I was extremely satisfied. A truly satisfying item. It was very delicious. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

The lingering summer heat is starting to fade, and I've started to see more people transitioning to their autumn wardrobe. However, I was able to try the famous Taiyaki Soft Serve, which is only available in spring and summer. First and foremost, the taiyaki has a unique texture that I've never experienced before, with a crispy outer layer and a perfectly cooked dough that is absolutely delicious. The rich and dense red bean paste complements the soft serve, creating a visually impactful and perfectly balanced dish. It was so delicious that I felt a sense of sadness knowing that it's only available for a limited time.

I finally tried it because I had been curious for a while. It was a crispy type of taiyaki with sweet red bean paste sticking out a little, despite being gnawed on by my child a bit beforehand. It wasn't too heavy with red bean paste - it was just the right amount for easy consumption. The red bean paste wasn't too sweet, and the contrast with the crispy skin was delicious. While it was quite hot right out of the oven, they also sell ones that have cooled down a bit, which is recommended for those with kids or on hot days. I'm curious about trying the chilled taiyaki next time I come. The one I had this time was a classic, shared with my child. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing shopping in Ebisu, I went to this shop and tried their taiyaki soft serve. It was a surprise to see the taiyaki diving into the soft serve! I had the taiyaki with soft serve ice cream on top and it was incredibly delicious. The taiyaki was filled with red bean paste from head to tail, providing a satisfying bite. It had been a while since my last visit, but as always, the food was tasty. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Known as a treasure trove of delicious gourmet food, Ebisu is home to many renowned eateries, but among them, the longstanding taiyaki shop "Hiiragi" stands out. I had the pleasure of visiting on a weekend afternoon and enjoying their summer limited edition taiyaki ice cream. Let me share with you its charm. Located in a quiet corner of Ebisu, Hiiragi is housed in a quaint building exuding a nostalgic atmosphere. Despite visiting around 1 p.m., there was no queue even on weekends. The simple exterior adds to its old-world charm. I ordered the summer limited edition "taiyaki ice cream (¥800)." When the summer limited edition taiyaki ice cream arrived, the scene before me was truly a vivid summer landscape. The crispy taiyaki, using the evaporative heat to slowly melt on top of the ice cream, was a sight to behold and truly stimulated my appetite. The taiyaki had a crispy outer layer and a fluffy inside, creating a perfect texture that was simply divine. The warmth of the freshly baked taiyaki combined with the coldness of the ice cream was a perfect match, making it a well-deserved summer treat. Moreover, the smiles and attentive service of the staff left a lasting impression. From taking orders to serving the taiyaki, their prompt and friendly service provided a relaxing experience for visitors. Hiiragi maintains its traditional taiyaki shop atmosphere in a quiet corner of Ebisu, while also offering a new allure with its summer limited edition taiyaki ice cream. Its deliciousness, charm, and excellent service left me wanting to revisit. I highly recommend you to visit and experience it for yourself.

I thoroughly enjoyed my favorite summer menu this year. I visited so many times that I lost count! The summer menu is gradually becoming sold out. I saw an announcement that it may end at any time, so I made sure to enjoy it while I could. I love the taiyaki soft serve with red bean topping at my favorite shop, Ebisu Taiyaki Hiiragi. They have daily announcements of their business hours, which I appreciate. The smooth soft serve with plenty of red bean on top, along with the crispy taiyaki, is a combination that red bean lovers cannot resist. I was able to enjoy this summer menu many times this year, and I feel grateful for it. Thank you as always. Please follow their Twitter account for more updates.

Visited a well-known sweets shop specializing in traditional Japanese sweets and taiyaki on a Saturday morning. Luckily, there was no one else there when I went in. I ordered a unique taiyaki that can be made all at once in a row, known as a "cultivated" item at this shop, for 200 yen. There were variations available, such as putting it in a cup with ice cream. The taiyaki was made of wheat that was soft and chewy without a strong flour taste, and it was filled with firm and flavorful red bean paste. It was delicious.

After having lunch in Ebisu, I stopped by here. It was around 1 PM on Saturday and there was no line. The taiyaki cost 180 yen. I had tried Hiiragi-san's taiyaki at a different store before and wanted to eat it on the spot, but I had already eaten ice cream so I got it to go. I reheated it in the air oven and the skin was crispy with plenty of filling. I really like Hiiragi-san's taiyaki. I wish I had tried the taiyaki soft serve.

- Location and shop: Just under 3 minutes walk from the east exit of Ebisu Station on the JR Yamanote Line. - A taiyaki shop that has been selected as one of the top 100 sweet shops in 2020, 2022, and 2023. A true gem. - I had the opportunity to visit Ebisu and had some spare time, so I decided to stop by. Menu: - Taiyaki Soft Serve: A luxurious treat with a whole taiyaki on top of soft serve ice cream. It looks amazing! The taiyaki is freshly made and gradually melts, blending with the soft serve ice cream. The sweetness of the red bean paste, the crispy shell, and the smoothness of the soft serve ice cream create a delicious combination. - Chilled Taiyaki: A treat with red bean paste and cream cheese inside a chilled taiyaki shell. It has a slightly cool temperature, giving it a dessert-like feel. The slight acidity and saltiness of the cream cheese complement the sweetness of the red bean paste. Additional information: - Especially great for takeout, so you can enjoy your meal without crowds. Being able to enjoy a top 100 shop item is definitely a plus! - The taiyaki soft serve is available only in spring and summer. - I definitely want to visit again! Thank you for the meal!

Location: Within a 5-minute walk from Ebisu Station East Exit Time: Sunday afternoon Companion: Family Menu: - Chilled Taiyaki (with cream cheese) ¥250 - Taiyaki Soft Serve (without toppings) ¥600 This is a take-out only taiyaki shop. The chilled taiyaki has a chewy skin with red bean paste and cream cheese inside. It has a softer texture compared to regular taiyaki, making it a great choice for those who like a crispy-chewy texture. The salty cream cheese and sweet red bean paste complement each other perfectly. The Taiyaki Soft Serve is a limited-time item where crispy taiyaki is freshly made and placed inside soft serve ice cream. It's a delicious combination of warm taiyaki with cold soft serve. The amount of red bean paste is not that much, so adding extra red bean paste as a topping is also recommended! Whether you're with friends, family, or just enjoying a quick bite on your own, this place is highly recommended.

The visual of pushing the taiyaki soft serve into your face is funny, right? Even though the taiyaki is piping hot and could burn your tongue, the soft serve melts slowly which is a relief. Are they serving the soft serve harder on purpose to account for this? The red bean paste in the taiyaki has a nice texture. The crispy surface is also good. Even the spilled red bean paste is nicely roasted! The combination of hot taiyaki and cold soft serve, once you experience the richness of eating them together, wouldn't all wars disappear from the world?

Since visiting in the heart of winter, I decided to make a return trip. I discovered they have a bold summer-only menu item where they dive taiyaki into soft serve ice cream. Sensing that summer was coming to an end, I rushed to try it out. I stopped by after having spaghetti at "Uncle Tom's," and without hesitation, I ordered the taiyaki soft serve. People were casually lingering around the shop, enjoying their taiyaki soft serves. With no seating available, I had to eat it right then and there. Among the top taiyaki shops that prioritize natural ingredients, this one also serves farmed taiyaki alongside the individually grilled natural ones. Despite being cooked all at once, the thin and crispy skin, along with the generously filled red bean paste, make it a delicious treat. The red bean paste can also be purchased separately. Perhaps due to the slower sales during the summer, customers were sparse. It was a far cry from the bustling winter scenes with long queues. The taiyaki soft serve, a clever idea, is a clear winner. I haven't seen this type of dessert at other shops. The taiyaki, fresh and hot from the cup, was simply delicious. I cautiously nibbled from the tail end, commenting on the heat, while licking the soft serve to cool off. Before I knew it, it was gone. The soft serve had a prominent milk flavor and was simply delightful. With a spoon provided on the cup, there was no risk of getting cream all over my clothes. Once I finished a portion of the taiyaki, I scooped out the red bean paste and mixed it with the soft serve, creating a delightful azuki bean ice cream. The threefold use of taiyaki, soft serve, and azuki ice cream was exemplary. Indeed, nothing beats freshly grilled taiyaki! The collaboration with chilled soft serve makes it a true champion. At 600 yen, it was a great deal. While there was a trend at one point of combining hot and cold elements in desserts, the contrast between the hot taiyaki and the icy soft serve directly enhances the deliciousness and happiness levels. I hope to see more of this kind of dessert in the future. Oh, summer is coming to an end... I will definitely come back next summer.

A traditional Japanese sweets shop located about a 5-minute walk from Ebisu Station. My family bought some for takeout and I ended up enjoying it for the second time in a week, unexpectedly. I had mistakenly gone to a different shop last time, thinking it was the popular one, so I'm grateful. The taiyaki from this shop seems larger than the ones at Gakugeidaigaku. It's filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste. It's delicious, sweet, and the outer shell is soft and easy to eat.

I stopped by after my errands in Ebisu for the first time. Located on the first floor of a building just a 2-3 minute walk from Ebisu station. When searching for "taiyaki" nationwide, I found that this place was ranked as the 4th highest rated store after the "Tokyo Three Great Taiyaki" places: 1. Yotsuya: Taiyaki Wakaba [3.79], 2. Azabu-Juban: Naniwaya Main Store [3.78], 3. Ningyocho: Yanagiya [3.78]. It seems their specialty is taking 30 minutes to carefully bake each taiyaki. I bought 9 as a gift for the office. Each costs 200 yen + 50 yen for the box. I ate one while walking back to the station... The crust was crunchy, and the filling was subtly sweet red bean paste, but as I ate, the filling spilled out everywhere... Be careful of burning yourself as they are baked slowly.

Cold baked cheesecake for ¥250. I was able to eat it again this year! I went around 5 o'clock and they only had 2 left, which was the best. I also introduced it to a new friend. I love the generous amount of cream cheese and the chewy texture of the crust. But there's something missing. Yet, when I'm told there's still stock left, I want to eat it.

The taiyaki had a generous amount of red bean paste filling that was thick and heavy, and the thin crispy skin was fragrant. It was satisfying on its own when hot, but I also want to try the summer limited edition taiyaki with soft serve ice cream, or the set with dango and soft serve ice cream. I would like to go back and eat it again! ✨

I visited at 4:30 pm on a weekday. The restaurant is located in a back alley and there were no customers before or after me. I was looking forward to trying the chilled taiyaki with cream cheese filling, but unfortunately they were sold out at this time. I opted for the limited spring/summer taiyaki soft serve instead, which was cool and delightful.

After having lunch at the ramen shop next door, I was drawn to the taiyaki soft serve! I love sweet treats. The place seemed familiar - maybe a follower had mentioned it. Who would have thought it was right next to where we ate lunch! I ordered the taiyaki soft serve, of course. It was a hot taiyaki filled with red bean paste, paired with soft serve ice cream. The combination of hot and cold was amazing. It was my first time trying it, and it was delicious without a doubt! Next time, I'll go shopping and have a meal in Ebisu, then stop by to buy 4 taiyaki as souvenirs! 😄

A taiyaki specialty shop located about a 5-minute walk from Ebisu Station. Visited on a weekday evening with few people around. Priced at 200 yen each, which is reasonable. When you take a big bite, there's plenty of sweet red bean paste filling in your mouth, making you feel happy! The skin is thin, and the filling goes all the way to the tail. This is high-quality taiyaki!

I visited around 3:00 pm on a weekday and there were about 3 people in line. As I waited, more people lined up behind me, so there were always customers there. The atmosphere of the shop was nice. I ordered the classic "taiyaki" (200 yen). The outside was crispy, the inside was moist, and the red bean paste filling was not too sweet. It was the best taiyaki I've ever had. I will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area!

I stopped by for dessert after eating pasta at the "Uncle Tom" restaurant across the street. In 2014, when I compared taiyaki, this shop had higher ratings than Tokyo's top three natural taiyaki shops, so I already knew how reliable the taste is. Recently, I've seen reviews from others mentioning taiyaki on soft-serve ice cream, but today I opted for a simple taiyaki after spaghetti.
