It is a great location with a view of Yasaka Shrine. Even though it was a Friday, I was able to make a same-day reservation. My companion ended up going to the wrong restaurant, causing us to be late by at least 30 minutes! We were seated on the second floor with a group of Chinese tourists (8 people), which made the atmosphere lively. The Western customers left quickly after having their meal and soup. We ordered beer five minutes before my companion arrived. We had a salad with kimchi, two types of yukhoe (raw beef dishes), and five types of lean meat (including harami) which were all delicious. The harami was especially tasty. We also had stone pot bibimbap, tail soup, draft beer x2, sours, highballs, and black oolong tea, all for less than 15,000 yen, which was quite affordable. It was a generous portion for a couple with small appetites. I'm sorry for leaving some of the bibimbap uneaten.

While strolling around Kyoto, I stumbled upon a delicious-looking yakiniku restaurant! They offer a steak bowl lunch set, 100g of Japanese beef steak, yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), and stir-fried bean sprouts. The menu is luxurious and gets you excited! I enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the second floor while overlooking Yasaka Shrine and sipping on some drinks. It was a wonderful Christmas day! ♥

After golf, we made a reservation and headed to the restaurant. We called at 4:30 pm for a 5:00 pm reservation, but couldn't get through until 4:55 pm, which made us nervous. We were able to get a table by the window and enjoy our meal. The makgeolli (Korean rice wine) was delicious.

After experiencing being a geisha with a friend in Gion, we were talking about whether we should also have matcha parfait afterwards. However, we ended up feeling more exhausted than we thought and were extremely hungry, craving for some meat. We decided to visit this restaurant, Ishiya, which is located right in front of Yasaka Shrine. It was a relief that they were still serving lunch until 4 pm when we arrived around 3 pm on a holiday. We were the only customers at that time. We were seated at the counter in this elegant and calm restaurant. Although I read reviews mentioning that you can have roast beef bowl for 1000 yen, it wasn't on the menu when we visited, so I assume they might not offer it anymore. We ordered the steak bowl, which cost around 2000 yen. The rare slices of meat were beautifully arranged on a mound of rice. We ordered the regular portion, but there was also a double portion available. I don't usually eat much meat, but the tender meat with a slightly spicy sauce was amazing. The salad had a crunchy texture and tasted fresh. I thought this was a place worth recommending to others. There were many autographs from actors of the Takarazuka Revue, so I assume they visit this restaurant often. If you're craving for some meat, why not give this place a try?

On the final night of my trip to Kyoto, my friends and I wanted to eat delicious meat, so we searched and found this restaurant. - A steak bowl from Ajikei with just the right rareness and plenty of tender meat. The sauce was also delicious, and I finished it in no time. - Atmosphere: It's a yakiniku restaurant, but you can enjoy a delicious and tender steak bowl without ordering yakiniku.

The quality of the meat was excellent and incredibly delicious. I also enjoyed being able to order Bibimbap and cold noodles in half sizes, so I could try both. However, there were some noisy customers and it seemed like they were acquaintances with the staff, which was a bit disappointing.

I also tried the cold noodles, and they were delicious beyond their price.

In front of Yasaka Shrine, there was a yakiniku restaurant. After exploring Kyoto, I decided to treat myself to a hearty meal of steak bowl instead of traditional Kyoto cuisine. It was delicious! There was a signature from a celebrity on the restaurant's curtain.

It is cheap, but the meat quality is not great and the sauce is not delicious either. If you prioritize price and location over taste, it may be suitable for you. The side dishes like kimchi are also lacking in flavor. It seems like they focus more on advertising and making money. The location is convenient as it is in front of Yasaka Shrine. They only have meat dishes up to around 1400 yen per serving, so if you don't care much about the quality of the meat, it might be worth trying. It feels like a typical chain restaurant.
