Recently, there has been a lot of talk about a restaurant that serves Napolitan, located inside Shinagawa Station. Despite being open for 2 years, it seems to be gaining attention now, perhaps due to its 2-year anniversary. I happened to pass by Shinagawa and decided to stop by. It was bustling on a Sunday morning, with about 70-80% of the seats filled. Most customers seemed to be in a rush, carrying heavy bags and eating quickly. I had heard about the operating company from the media beforehand, so I thought it would be a high-end establishment, but it turned out to be a Romespa restaurant, using thick noodles with a diameter of 2.4mm for their Napolitan. Not really my preference. The dish arrived soon after ordering, and it smelled really good. Not burnt, but just nicely sautéed. The ingredients were classic - onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and chunks of sliced wiener sausages. I liked it. I don't usually come to this area, but if I did, I would definitely visit this place. On a side note, there used to be a fresh pasta restaurant inside Shinagawa Station for quite a long time (about 12 years). It was operated by a JR-related company (formerly Delicious Link, now JR East Cross Station), and it was a familiar spot back then. However, with the rise of Eki-Ekute, the station became dominated by them, and upon researching, I found out that the Napolitan restaurant is operated by Comel, a subsidiary of Chinami Jasmine in Hiroo. I had been there a few times before. I never expected them to open a Romespa restaurant.
