Visited at 7:30 PM on November 23, 2022. I really wanted to eat white tea and shiro, and they were so delicious last year that I couldn't resist going back. It was rare that they were open on a holiday night, so I had to finish work early and go there. It was raining, cold, and the parking lot was far, but it was worth it. My companion ordered the limited edition two kinds of white tea. When asked which one to serve first, we chose white tea first, then shiro. Before long, the noodles arrived, and we started with the soup. It was so rich and delicious, the best I've ever had. I was impressed, it had been a year since I last visited. I'm glad we ordered the large size - the noodles at Asakusa Kaikaro pick up the soup so well, it made me grin. When I added spicy pickled mustard greens halfway through, the taste got even better. I was completely satisfied. Next, the shiro also arrived, and the thin noodles from Asakusa Kaikaro matched the rich soup perfectly. It disappeared into my stomach at a high speed as well. It was incredibly delicious. I'll definitely come back again.

I had eaten soy sauce ramen many times before, but on this day, I was in the mood for a rich broth, so I chose the pork back fat wonton ramen. Wow, this is it! It was delicious! Even though it was made with pork back fat, it wasn't too heavy or overly salty, for some reason it was refreshing, or something like that... I finished all the soup. It was just so tasty! From now on, I'll be torn between soy sauce and back fat ramen.

This is my first visit. I ordered the basic ramen, a well-balanced soy sauce flavored ramen. The soup, noodles, chashu, everything was just perfect. Oh, I encountered something special. It's not just delicious, it feels like I've had it somewhere before... I have a feeling I'll want to eat it regularly from now on. Thank you for the meal.

Due to a strong hangover, I really craved ramen and visited a very traditional ramen shop that has won numerous awards in the past. Their classic Chinese ramen had a reliable and satisfying flavor. They had other ramen varieties as well, so I would like to go again.

#Ramendaiichi's original noodle ramen set for 1000 yen. Simple yet you can feel the depth of the chicken broth in the ramen. It was a delicious meal. Self-evaluation ⭐️⭐️

Ramen for 830 yen. This ramen embodies the traditional evolution of old-school ramen. The soy sauce flavor in chicken broth combined with straight noodles made with plenty of water creates a classic strong style ramen. Toppings include 2 slices of Chashu pork, Naruto (fish cake), half-boiled egg, seaweed, and spinach. Thank you for the meal.

This shop is closed on Sundays, so it was hard to find the right timing. I visited here for the first time in 5 years on a Saturday afternoon. There was only one other customer there, and it was quiet. I ordered the usual soy sauce ramen for ¥700. The quality of the chashu here had fluctuated before, but now it's back to being soft with a hint of pink in the middle, which is reassuring. The chashu still comes with the same two slices, but one of them seems to be now a fatty one, so I passed on that. The noodles here are made with Asakusa Kaikaro's eccentric person (Nissin Flour Milling's wheat flour) straight noodles. The soup is soy sauce-based, with a strong dashi flavor (probably chicken bone broth, maybe even soup from making the chashu). This is the correct Tokyo ramen that people from Kansai would imagine.

First visit. The cloudy morning gave way to sunny skies in the afternoon, with the temperature rising steadily. Despite feeling the metabolism-boosting effects of sweating, I can't help but look forward to the cold winter (laughs). The popular shop with just an hour before closing had an incredible line, maybe over 10 people? I gave up on waiting and headed to the second option. Surprisingly, there was no line even though they were closing in 45 minutes, so I decided to go in due to the heat. I bought ramen from the ticket machine and was directed to the counter by a female employee. It only took about 5 minutes for the food to arrive. The ramen had a simple and traditional look to it. I started by sipping the soup directly from the bowl. It had a light and gentle flavor, almost like a clear broth. The noodles were also nostalgic, with a taste that leaned towards being more hydrated. It seemed to be a popular spot among locals and office workers. Thank you for the meal. Now, shall we go for a little walk after this double visit? (laughs)

The old-fashioned vibe just as the reviews say! The gentle soy sauce broth is delightful. The clear soy-based broth with thin straight noodles is complemented by the slightly floaty oil and medium thick curly noodles. The atmosphere feels nostalgic. The char siu was thicker than expected, adding a satisfying texture. The boiled spinach seemed to have been prepared with a touch of seasoning. I arrived around 11:30 and was seated immediately, but 5 minutes later the place was full. There was a waitlist of about 4-5 people. Close call! Definitely need to be punctual when visiting!

Once again, I found myself drawn in by the A-frame sign outside the restaurant advertising Hiyashi Chuka (cold noodles). I bought a ticket from the machine for the Hiyashi Chuka and headed to the counter. I didn't have to wait long before my order arrived in a bowl. The toppings included chicken chashu, cucumber, ham, shredded egg, jellyfish, daikon slices, and imitation crab meat. The daikon slices were a unique addition. Mixing all the toppings evenly proved to be a bit challenging, but I managed to do it and enjoyed the dish. The noodles were smooth, and the sauce had a hint of sweetness rather than sourness, with a soy sauce base. I was initially skeptical about the daikon slices as a topping, but they added a nice crunchy texture. The chicken gave me a nostalgic feeling of cold meat soba from Yamagata. Overall, I found the Hiyashi Chuka quite delicious. (Original blog post: https://datte2.hatenablog.com/entry/2023/09/11/040000)

In the midst of the intense heat, I was drawn in by a sign on the street that said "Chilled Tsukemen - Classic Aojiso Flavor" and decided to enter the shop. I purchased the chilled tsukemen from the ticket machine for 930 yen. There was only one female staff member in the hall that day, and the store manager explained that the dipping sauce was served with kelp tea. There were instructions on how to eat it as well. Following the instructions, I added the tempura flakes to the noodles and the other ingredients to the dipping sauce. The thin noodles made it seem like a large portion, but the regular serving of tsukemen is actually 200g. As I started eating, the frothy dipping sauce had a tangy taste of perilla dressing and perilla leaves, but when mixed with the noodles and ingredients, it gave off a refreshing chilled Chinese noodle flavor. The tempura flakes added to the noodles also had wasabi, giving it a sharp taste, but the overall chilled Chinese noodle sensation remained. I thought the chilled tsukemen was a new take on chilled Chinese noodles.

It's a 7-8 minute walk from Ochanomizu Station. The storefront faces the street with easy-to-find banners and flags. The small interior has only counter seats, with surprising seating on the other side of the pantry. The tsukemen is 730 yen, with additional utensils for 170 yen. The menu is quite unique. The oily soy sauce broth is served with Hakkaikuro noodles. While they are not bad individually, the toppings are disappointing. The addition of lemon and shichimi pepper is interesting but may be unnecessary. It seems to be a popular ramen shop with creative tsukemen, but it may not be for everyone.

Famous Ramen Dai at the Hongo and Ochanomizu area. I had been to this place a few years ago and I remember it being crowded back then. This time, I was able to get in easily. The interior looks different from before. I have a memory of their classic soy sauce ramen, so this time I ordered the Char siu ramen which had a great balance between the noodles, soup, and Char siu. This is what I call a classic soy sauce ramen. I hope they never change. I saw on the ticket machine that they also have a ramen with back fat, so I might try that next time. Thank you for the meal!

Arrived at 11:41 am on Saturday, no waiting in line. Ordered a limited edition cold dipping noodles with grated wasabi for 1,450 yen. The noodles were cold like chilled Chinese noodles. The toppings included seaweed, shredded omelette, mushrooms, chicken, and pickled seaweed on a separate plate. The wasabi and a grater were provided, so I diligently grated the wasabi. It was a bit difficult at first. As I continued to grate the wasabi, my order arrived. I placed the grated wasabi on top of the noodles, making sure the noodles don't touch the wasabi directly. The first bite was refreshing! The soup was citrusy and light, and the wasabi added a nice kick without being too overpowering. After a few bites, I added two-thirds of the pickled seaweed to the noodles, mixed it well, and enjoyed the combination. To finish, I had some kelp tea and poured two more spoonfuls of soup into the bowl. I also added the remaining pickled seaweed. Overall, the wasabi was refreshing, so I was satisfied with the meal. Thank you for the meal! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I visited this place on a holiday Friday. There were about 2 people waiting in line. The reviews said they have excellent Chuka Soba, but personally I found it to be just average. The bowl was filled with lots of toppings like menma, seaweed, naruto, green onions, egg, and chashu. The taste may vary depending on the person, so it's hard to say if it's as highly rated as on Tabelog.

I went to a ramen shop at 11 am on a weekday and ordered ramen with one wonton topping for 1,000 yen. The soy sauce flavor was delicious, with a rich layer of fat floating on the well-crafted ramen soup, making it easy to eat. The wonton was tasty, and the chashu was made using a low-temperature cooking method.

Visited at 5:00 PM on August 2, 2023. "Daishi" is a popular ramen shop located in Bunkyo, Tokyo. It was selected as one of the top 100 ramen shops until 2021. Many followers have also visited the shop. Arrived 10 minutes before opening and was the first in line to enter. Despite being tempted by the summer limited menu, opted for the basic soy sauce ramen since it was the first visit. Ordered the "Chashu Wantan Men" for ¥1,250 with an extra large portion for ¥150, along with the "Negi Chashu Don" for ¥370. Purchased the meal tickets at the ticket machine by the entrance and sat at the designated counter seat. Many customers followed after me, and while the shop didn't reach full capacity, it was about half full right after opening. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. The "Chashu Wantan Men" looked like classic Chinese noodles. The soup had the comforting taste of chicken bone soy sauce that didn't disappoint, with a familiar and delicious flavor. The noodles were thin straight noodles with a high water content, providing a smooth and satisfying texture. The thinly seasoned pork chashu was tender and tasty. The wantan had a crunchy texture and contained ground meat with a refreshing twist of not including ginger. The "Negi Chashu Don" had plenty of chopped chashu and green onions, seasoned with a flavorful sauce and chili oil. Surprisingly, the large portion of ramen was quite filling, and finishing both the soup and noodles left me fully satisfied. It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I felt like eating cold noodles on a regular night, so I decided to go to this restaurant. This time, I ordered the red cold dipping noodles. The server mentioned that I could get a separate spicy seasoning if I wanted. When I tried the spicy seasoning, it had a refreshing spiciness with a good umami flavor. The dipping sauce was a tomato base with a nice balance of tangy acidity, gentle sweetness, and spiciness. It was very delicious. The level of spiciness was mild, so I added the spicy seasoning to adjust it. The noodles were thin and curly, with a generous portion and a firm texture. They were nicely chilled. The toppings included mushrooms, shredded egg, seaweed, chicken chashu, and tempura scraps. There was black spice sprinkled on top of the tempura scraps, which added a nice touch. Overall, it was a delicious cold dipping noodles dish. I once again realized that this restaurant serves some of the best cold dipping noodles I've ever had. Thank you for the meal.

I had "hiyashi ramen." I was surprised by the firmness of the noodles. Even though it was cold, I could still taste the rich soup flavor, and it paired well together, making it very delicious. The day I visited was very hot, but this dish was perfect for such a day, very refreshing. Thank you for the meal. ☺️☺️

I went to Ramen Ooishi located in Ochanomizu. At night, the big sign outside shines brightly in the dark streets, making it easy to spot. Inside, there is enough seating for around 10 people at the counter. Looking at the ticket machine, they have options like regular ramen, ramen with extra pork fat, and cold noodles. This time, I decided to keep it simple and ordered the regular ramen in a large size. It only took about 7 minutes until it was served. The bowl came with chashu pork, bamboo shoots, half-boiled egg, and seaweed. The clear amber-colored soup had a nostalgic taste reminiscent of Showa era, simple yet rich in flavor from the chicken and ingredients. The noodles were medium-thick and curly, easy to slurp. The chashu pork was delicious, tender and sweet. The half-boiled egg soaked in the soup was also great. It was a simple but delicious bowl of ramen. I finished every last bit. Thank you for the meal.
