Today's visit was to Asakusa Gyukatsu. Asakusa Gyukatsu is a beef cutlet specialty restaurant located in Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo. It is a set meal restaurant located about a 2-minute walk from Asakusa Station, near the entrance to Kaminarimon. Before the pandemic, it was known as a store with long lines, but currently, due to the decrease in tourists in Asakusa, you can enter smoothly. I visited once before and decided to revisit this time due to the high quality. Upon entering the store, I decided to order the 130-gram beef cutlet for 1500 yen. For more detailed reviews, search for "eatery japan".

I went on a Sunday, but there was a long line. Be prepared for a wait of up to 1 hour and 30 minutes on Sundays because there are many foreign tourists. You can get one free refill for your meal. I ordered a lot of refills and ended up with a huge portion like in a Japanese folktale. It's great for food lovers. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant is structured with two floors, and I sat at the counter seats. The smell can be a bit strong, but the food is really delicious and impressive. It makes you want to eat slowly and savor every bite. There are different types of sauces available, so you can enjoy various flavors without getting tired of eating. It's a self-grill style where you cook your own beef cutlets.

Due to its popularity as a tourist spot, there are many foreign visitors, and you need to start lining up one hour before opening. You may have to wait 2-3 hours for lunch or dinner. The food itself is delicious, but personally, I'm not sure if it's worth waiting in line for this long.

I won't go there again. The food was delicious, but a bit overpriced. It was fun to grill the beef cutlet myself, but overall... I had to wait in line as the third person, and it took an hour for my order to be taken. People kept coming out of the restaurant, but we couldn't get in even though the person in front of us had finished eating. Finally, when we got in, the restaurant was empty. The way they take orders is confusing, selling the main item plus three options (100 yen each) and then allowing you to remove options if you want. It's frustrating and tiring.

Visited Asakusa Gyukatsu-san in Asakusa on a Sunday evening. This restaurant is famous for having long lines in Asakusa. I arrived around 5 pm, but there were already more than 20 people waiting in line. It seemed like there were many tourists from overseas. After waiting for about an hour, I finally got inside. I ordered the Gyukatsu set meal with mentaiko topping. The food arrived quickly after ordering. The Gyukatsu was rare inside and looked very attractive. I first tried it as it was, rare, with wasabi soy sauce. The meat was chewy and had a nice texture. Then, I tried grilling it on the hot stone. It was delicious! The fatty part melted and became tender, enhancing the flavor of the beef. The taste was different when eaten grilled or rare, so I alternated between the two. I also tried dipping it in yam wasabi sauce and sprinkling rock salt on top, which complemented the Gyukatsu well. The Gyukatsu was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating the rice. When I left, the line had grown to over 30 people. I recommend going early when visiting this restaurant.

The shop was small, so I lined up for about 3 hours. About 70-80% of the customers were from overseas. Many people gave up halfway through. While waiting in line, it felt like we were making progress, but there were actually more people lined up than we thought. The interior of the shop was very small and had a cozy atmosphere. The specialty was the beef cutlet. It was my first time trying it, and it was surprisingly tender. I liked that you could choose how well-done you wanted it cooked, and I especially enjoyed eating it with wasabi soy sauce. When asked if I would recommend waiting in line for it, I'm not so sure. There are other places where you can eat similar dishes without having to wait, so it might be better to go there instead.

I had my first experience eating Gyukatsu (beef cutlet) and I was impressed with just one bite. It was incredibly delicious, almost melting in my mouth. However, because it was quite oily, I started to feel a bit tired of it after eating about half. If you enjoy eating oily foods, you might have no problem with it. But I highly recommend trying it at least once in your life. The first bite is sure to be a truly melting experience.

I lined up from 10:40, but the line was long! I was able to place my order while waiting in line, so my food was served as soon as I sat down. The restaurant was small and the underground counter was a bit cramped. The beef cutlet was thinly sliced from the start, and you cook it yourself to your liking. I was given the choice of homemade sauce, wasabi soy sauce, or salt to eat with. I chose wasabi soy sauce, which was delicious. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish the meal with plenty of barley rice, but the flavorful barley porridge with mentaiko helped me finish it just right. I won't come back due to the long line, but the beef cutlet I tried for the first time was delicious.

On weekdays, if you go at the opening time, you'll have to wait for 1 hour and 15 minutes. There was no line at all 30 minutes before opening, but suddenly a lot of foreign customers appeared. They serve self-grilled beef cutlets for around 1630 yen. It was incredibly delicious. The juiciness was irresistible. I was really satisfied. You can get free refills of rice up to one bowl. It's great with wasabi soy sauce, but it's also tasty with salt. I personally found it most delicious with salt.

I waited for 1.5 hours to finally enter the restaurant famous for its beef cutlet in Asakusa. It was a very cold day, so it felt even longer. The beef cutlet was delicious and worth the wait. You cook it yourself on a hot plate, and it comes with sweet sauce, wasabi soy sauce, rock salt, and various flavors to enjoy. It's recommended to go on a sunny day to avoid waiting for a long time.

I will be cooking the rare beef cutlet set meal in a style where you cook it yourself. I like the crispy and crunchy coating on the outside and the tender meat inside. The fat is rich and delicious, making it juicy with a sense of luxury. Beef cutlets should be as popular as pork cutlets!

I went to Asakusa for the first time in a while and finally tried the "gyukatsu" (beef cutlet) that I've been curious about. It was around lunchtime, so I was able to get in without waiting, but customers started coming in one after another. It's truly a popular spot! The beef cutlet was cooked to my liking and served hot on a hot plate, which was really nice. It came with barley rice, grated yam, and you could customize it with sauce, rock salt, wasabi, etc. The price is a bit on the higher side, but considering the quality, I felt it was a good deal. I definitely want to go back when I visit Asakusa again!!! (*^o^*)

I wanted to try beef cutlet for the first time, so I decided to go to Asakusa Gyukatsu, the highest rated restaurant in Tokyo. I arrived at 2 pm and there were many foreign tourists lined up. It's great to see so many tourists visiting Japan. I ordered the top cut, I think it was the highest gram option. It was served quite rare and you cook it yourself. It was like a cross between fried and steak, and it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This is not your typical beef or pork cutlet - it is served rare and you can adjust the cooking level on the hot plate at your table. The restaurant is well-equipped with clean and well-maintained utensils, leaving a great impression. It's no wonder it receives high ratings - a truly outstanding dining experience.

Hello! I will deliver a food review of a beef cutlet in Asakusa. The shop I visited this time is a long-established beef cutlet specialty shop in Asakusa. I ordered a set meal which included a thick beef cutlet, rice, miso soup, and pickles. First of all, the beef cutlet brought to me was very large and impressive. The coating was crispy and the meat inside was tender and juicy. The thickness of the meat provided a satisfying eating experience. I chose brown rice for the rice option, and it had a fragrant and chewy texture, making it healthy and delicious. The miso soup had a gentle flavor with a rich broth of kombu and bonito flakes. The pickles had a refreshing taste that paired well with the beef cutlet. The atmosphere inside the shop was calm and the service was polite. The prices were reasonable, and the cost performance was good. Overall, I enjoyed a well-balanced meal with the volume and flavor of the beef cutlet combined with the rice, miso soup, and pickles in the set. I would definitely like to revisit this shop when I come to Asakusa again.

Dinner on the first day in Tokyo was at Asakusa, where I had beef cutlet. I ordered the beef cutlet set with a draft beer for 1800 yen. The beef cutlet was fried rare and then cooked on a tabletop stove to your liking. I opted for half the rice since I was having beer. The meat was delicious, and the sauce with minced wasabi was also tasty. It was a great meal!

I had a hard time deciding on lunch, but I ended up choosing the beef cutlet. The restaurant has 5 counter seats and 2 table seats. The 130g beef cutlet is priced at ¥1300, and you can add grated yam for an extra ¥100. The beef cutlet is served quite rare, but you can adjust the cooking to your liking, which is great! The meat is tender and the coating is crispy. It doesn't get tough even when cooked, and you can enjoy it with your preferred sauce or rock salt. You can also ask for dressing. The grated yam goes well with rice! I didn't plan on drinking, but I ended up having a beer, not Asahi but Maltz! Thank you for the delicious meal.

Full & Half Set Meal 1900 after Sayonara's live performance. Started lining up at 20:41 on Friday. Received the meal at 21:28. It was Beef Cutlet Day, so I chose the limited edition ZAKU-battered beef cutlet. I really like this kind of beef cutlet cooked right in front of you. Delicious. The ZAKU-battered one in front was tastier. The sauce on the left is soy sauce, and on the right is onion sauce, but I wish they gave a bit more of the onion sauce. Well, the taste and serving method are the same as the nearby Gyu-katsu 123, so maybe it's better to go there.

Asakusa, in front of the Kaminarimon gate, I searched for lunch reviews and found a place with good ratings. Although I had to wait in line for about 20 minutes during lunchtime, it was worth it. The beef cutlet and beer were excellent! My family was also very satisfied. The stone-grilled dish was also lovely and delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant for lunch in November around 1:15 PM and despite it being a weekday, there were 8 groups of 4 people lined up. There were also foreigners in line, mostly young people. When I looked at the menu while waiting in line, I was asked to place my order on the spot. The staff explained the menu quickly and I couldn't understand well, so I ordered the 130g beef cutlet set meal for 1300 yen (tax included). The menu also had side dishes like mentaiko, grated yam, and warabi mochi for an additional 100 yen each. After waiting for 25 minutes, I was seated in the restaurant and the meal was served promptly. The restaurant had seating on the 1st floor and basement, and I was seated on the 1st floor where there were counter seats for 5 people, a table for 4, and a table for 2. The beef cutlet had a thin coating and was delicious, but there were some chewy parts with gristle that was disappointing. If it wasn't for that, it would have been even more delicious. The system of grilling the rare meat yourself and adjusting the cooking was nice. Rice refills were free, and I saw a man next to me ordering a large serving, which made me chuckle as it was quite a huge portion. The staff seemed to have a good sense of service. I left the restaurant after 2 PM and there were still about 10 people waiting in line. It seemed like they were letting in a large group at once instead of seating customers as soon as a table was available, which may have caused the long line.
