I enjoyed an Electric Blanc at the admired Kamiya Bar! Tokyo Asakusa Kamiya Bar Maido! Yamadera here. This day I went on an expedition to Tokyo! This time, I went bar hopping in Asakusa, and the place I wanted to visit was Kamiya Bar. The atmosphere of the place and detailed information are also uploaded on YouTube, so please refer to it. When you come to this place, you have to try the Electric Blanc! There are two types of Electric Blanc, the regular one is 30 degrees, and the Electric Blanc (Old) is 40 degrees. Of course, I ordered the Old 40 degree for 400 yen. On the left is the Electric Blanc (Old) for 400 yen, and the draft beer for 950 yen, which serves as a chaser (laughs). As soon as I tried it, I felt a slightly tangy taste and a good aroma. By the time it goes down my throat, my body feels warm. When you wash it down with beer, it becomes a taste that you can get addicted to. For snacks, I had a platter of Vienna sausages and salami for 650 yen. Eating grilled coarse-ground sausages while drinking is a blissful moment! Finally, I had the Napoli-tan for 750 yen as a finale! The nostalgic Napoli-tan with thick slices of ham was the best. I also had the homemade pudding for dessert for 500 yen! It was a very rich pudding, and I was completely satisfied. Of course, I have become a super favorite, so a return visit is confirmed. Thank you for the meal. Kamiya Bar Basic Information Address: 1-1-1 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo Closed: Tuesdays (open on holidays with the next day off) Business hours: 11:00-21:00 (L.O. 20:30) No smoking

Electric Brown is delicious! I bought a ticket at the register and handed it to the waiter. The Old is 40 degrees and the Standard is 30 degrees. Rating criteria: 5.0: No.1 in each category 4.9-4.5: Travel-worthy for that restaurant. 4.4-4.0: Would travel far for it, confidently recommend to friends. 3.9-3.8: Will go at least once a month if within 30 minutes from home. 3.7-3.6: Will put on the revisit list. 3.5-3.4: Will go if looking for a meal and it's nearby. 3.3: Average rating. 3.2-3.1: Will go if no other restaurants are available. 3.0-2.6: Will go if a miracle happens. 2.5-2.0: Will choose convenience store bento over it. 1.9-1.0: Worst dining experience.

Visited the bar on the first floor around 1 pm on Friday for the first time. I took the afternoon off that day. The style was to buy food tickets at the cashier counter in advance. Additional orders could also be made at the table. The first order was a medium-sized draft beer, crab croquette, spaghetti Napolitano, fried Camembert cheese, smoked octopus salad, and cheese salad. The interior of the restaurant was quite spacious with many table seats, and we were free to choose our favorite seat. After about 10 minutes of sitting down, the beer was served. It seemed like there was more beer than a regular medium-sized draft beer, maybe 700ml. Is that normal? I was happy about it. They were having a 10% extra volume campaign for the large 1000ml draft beer, but I wanted to try other drinks, so I stuck with the medium size. As for the food, the crab croquette was delicious as expected. It was big and thick, with a soft and fluffy texture. The fried Camembert cheese was also delicious, with the cheese melting inside. The spaghetti Napolitano had a classic taste that everyone would love, although it would have been even better with green peppers. The smoked octopus salad was crispy with onions, making it a tasty appetizer. The cheese salad had a rich cheese flavor that served as a dressing, making it a great snack. I ordered an electric Blanc Sour as an additional drink. It had a unique appearance, but the taste was sweet and delicious. I wanted to try the famous electric Blanc, but I was already full from the beer, so I'll save it for next time. There were also a few other customers here and there. It was easy to enter and had a comfortable atmosphere. The drinks and food were delicious. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Denkibran to experience it. It's my second time visiting as I have been here before. This time, I found the taste not as strong as before, and it was quite delicious. The menu mainly consists of Western dishes, with a lot of fried food this time. The crab croquette was delicious. It's a cheap and tasty restaurant, but the only downside is that it closes early.

Visited this famous establishment known for its "Denki Bran" drink, which originated here in 1880. The atmosphere was lively, with most customers enjoying large 1100ml jugs of beer. I opted for a lighter meal, ordering Asahi Stout, Denki Bran Sour, edamame, chilled tofu, and pickled vegetables. The stout was rich, the Denki Bran brought back memories, and the pickled vegetables showcased the restaurant's traditional charm. The pricing felt reasonable, considering the mix of locals and tourists in the area. A great spot to include in your Asakusa sightseeing itinerary.

I always wanted to visit a long-established bar in Asakusa! The shop is located just a short walk from Asakusa Station. Upon entering the shop, you first order at the register, and I ordered an electric brandy sour and crab cream croquette. After receiving a food ticket, you wait for a vacant seat. The seating is mainly table seats, but there are also individual seats separated nicely by acrylic boards. I arrived a little early, so I managed to get a seat on the first floor. As more customers arrived, it seems there may be another floor as well. First, the electric brandy sour. I had decided to drink an electric brandy, but I was hesitant about the high alcohol content if I drank it straight. Therefore, I was delighted to see a sour mixed with carbonated water on the menu and ordered it. It was served in a relatively small glass with carbonation, topped with thinly sliced orange and bright red cherry. Stylish. When I took a sip, I could taste the unique flavor of the electric brandy, but the carbonation made it quite easy to drink. Next is the crab cream croquette. I thought it would be just a snack, but I received two decent-sized croquettes. I tried the one with less sauce first. The cream had a strong flavor, and it was delicious even without sauce. The one with sauce had a slightly increased saltiness, which paired well with the drink. It was a delicious meal.

When I think about it, it's probably my first time visiting this place. It's a cash-on system restaurant, and the person at the counter seemed a bit wary after the interaction with the customer before me. So, I tried to act confidently, but they suddenly became guarded. I work in customer service myself, so I'm sensitive to these things. I don't think that kind of behavior is good. Feeling a bit uncomfortable, I just wanted to leave quickly, but my companion wanted to order more snacks. I probably won't come back to this place on the first floor, it's like a tourist spot. But it's nice to see people of all ages enjoying the retro atmosphere.

The famous Kamiya Bar, which has been around for a long time. It's impressive that they serve a 350 yen electric brand beer in a glass that is closer to 500ml rather than the standard 380ml. The price of the beer is also cheap. They also make sure to clean the tap properly, which is reflected in the taste. The cost performance is good!

It seems like a famous restaurant known from the game "Peach Iron" that I have always wanted to visit. They blend brandy, wine, gin, vermouth, and other ingredients to create a very easy-to-drink beverage. However, it is important to be cautious as it has an alcohol content of 30 degrees, and even Dazai Osamu warned that it can make you drunk quickly.

Get off at Asakusa Station on the Ginza Line subway and take exit 3, right by the station. We visited with three people on August 2, 2023, around 1:00 PM. This marks our visit once every 20 years. Established in 1880 (Meiji 13), this bar offers Asahi draft beer (large glass) for 1,300 yen, Asahi draft beer (medium glass) for 950 yen, and Electric Blanc Sour for 600 yen. For food, we tried the Menchi Katsu for 850 yen, which had a demiglace flavored sauce and was delicious. It had a soft flavor and came in three pieces, which was nice. You seem to understand the concept of "izakaya" well. We also had the Crab Croquette for 900 yen, which had a subtle crab flavor and was well-made. The tomato-flavored sauce was a nice touch. We love the retro atmosphere and look forward to coming back to conquer more retro dishes. Thank you for the meal. We will visit again. Kamiya Bar http://www.kamiya-bar.com/pic

Visited the restaurant around opening time. Saw a few elderly customers who seemed like regulars. Ordered by purchasing a ticket at the window and hesitated for a moment. Ordered a draft beer and an electric brandy based on the poster. The seasoned waitress brought water and a small dish, then took the ticket. The elderly man next to us was enjoying his electric brandy and draft beer. When our drinks arrived, there was only one electric brandy...? The waitress checked the ticket again and quickly brought another one (laughs). The brandy cocktail had a unique taste. The wine was very sweet, like a red ball punch. The snacks were delicious. I thought I could drink it quickly and stand up, but it turned out to be stronger than I expected (laughs). The alcohol content is high! Bought 3 bottles as souvenirs. They were really heavy!

Located at 1-1-1 Asakusa, a landmark and an important cultural property of Tokyo, "Kamiya Bar" is a place that I visit at least once a year. This time, on my way back from a commercial trip to Negishi in Taito Ward, I had planned to take a bus back to Asakusa and head home. However, when I got off the bus in front of Matsuya, I couldn't help but notice Kamiya Bar right in front of me as I walked towards the subway station. Without any resistance, I decided to enter. I first purchased food tickets at the counter. I ordered a small draft beer, a Denki Bran, and some kushikatsu. The place was crowded as usual, but being a Saturday at 3:30 pm, there were a few empty seats here and there. Being alone, I took a seat at one of the empty tables and waited for my food. The draft beer and Denki Bran arrived quickly. I poured the Denki Bran into the draft beer as a chaser and enjoyed the combination. The kushikatsu arrived in about 6-7 minutes - two skewers of the Kanto classic of onion and pork, accompanied by some shredded cabbage. I drizzled the sauce and mustard that came with it and enjoyed the flavors that paired well with the alcohol. I ordered a glass of Kamiya Wine - white to accompany my meal. It had a light taste with a good balance of acidity and sweetness, making it easy to drink. Although I intended to savor it slowly, the glass was empty in just 2-3 minutes. Since this was just a casual drinking session, I decided to call it a day after this. I haven't had a leisurely drink in Asakusa for about three years, but Kamiya Bar is the one place I always visit at least once a year due to its convenient location. It's a must-visit when in Asakusa.

It was my family's first visit to this restaurant. It was a hot day, so I didn't have much of an appetite, but we started with a large beer for a toast. We ordered a platter with cream croquette, hamburger, and shrimp fry. The hamburger had a homey taste, and the cream croquette and shrimp fry were good too. Personally, I wished there was a bit more distinctive flavor. However, the flavors are sure to please children. Finally, the electric blanc I wanted to drink left a lasting impression.

On the second floor of Kamiya Bar. Around 4 pm on Sunday, there were 3 groups waiting at the restaurant. However, the inside of the restaurant is quite spacious and the turnover is fast, so we were able to enter without waiting for even 5 minutes. This time, I wanted to eat pudding at February Cafe, but it was sold out, so I ended up here. The prices are reasonable considering the location. I ordered pudding and cream soda. The cream soda had plenty of vanilla ice cream on top. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, with melon soda. The pudding came with fruits and was a bit firm in texture. You can taste the bitterness of the caramel. This place seems to be the birthplace of electric lanterns, so I will use it for drinks next time.

On a Sunday evening, the restaurant was full and we had to wait for about 10 minutes before being seated. This longstanding establishment, famous for its electric lanterns since the Meiji era, is known for its high-alcohol content drinks. I ordered the Electric Lantern Sour, which was surprisingly strong. The beef intestine stew had a delicious flavor that was just right. I look forward to trying their Western-style dishes next time.

I ended up coming here suddenly (lol) Is this the first bar in Japan? The system was a bit confusing, but it seems like you have to buy a food ticket at the register for your first order. The staff will take half of the ticket at your table. When they bring your food, they will take the rest of the ticket. It was a new style for me (lol) It seems like they only accept cash. Be aware if you are a cashless person. Also, pay attention to the size of the draft beer (lol)

Asakusa 1-1-1... The first bar ever in this area, just the address itself sounds cool. However, the image I had in mind was quite different - more like a cafeteria on the rooftop of a department store where I used to go as a child, with a flag attached... But the customers here are stylish gentlemen wearing fedora hats, friendly elderly couples chatting happily, and tourists. For those who have spent many years in this area, enjoying a large beer and a meal while reading the newspaper in the afternoon seems very cool. The difference from the department store rooftop cafeteria is the smart waitstaff. They serve you smoothly. Now, let's try the signature Electric Brandy cocktail! It's 30% alcohol, brandy-based, with a beautiful amber color in a full glass. I took a slow sip. It's like a mysterious health tonic? Sorry for the clumsy description, but that's the feeling. It might be a love-it-or-hate-it drink, but as a cocktail lover, I liked it. I tried mixing it with some soda after drinking about half. Both ways are good! The food menu ranges from grilled dishes to izakaya-style options. I recommend the Napolitan pasta!

The first floor is a bar and the second floor is a restaurant (there seems to be a third floor as well). Today, I was on the first floor. As soon as you enter, there is a display shelf with product samples in front, and the cash register on the right. You order and pay at the cash register for the first time only. You receive a meal ticket and can sit wherever you like. It was lunchtime and there weren't many people, so maybe that's why. After that, the food is brought to your table. You can apparently order at the table from the second time onwards, but I didn't make any additional orders this time so I'm not sure. The portion sizes for all meals and drinks are large. As a result, the prices are on the higher side. The beer in the photo is labeled as medium on the menu, but it's actually large? The German potato and minced cutlet are also more like meal-sized portions. I was dining alone, so if I had ordered more, I wouldn't have been able to finish it all.

I had too much to drink at Denki Bran, and my consciousness flew away. The octopus carpaccio was a perfect match with Denki Bran! The hamburger was so delicious, it seemed to appeal to Japanese people, even children would love it. The way they serve food is also unique and mysterious. I definitely want to go back to eat there again.

I love Kamiya Bar so much. It was quite crowded this time, but I managed to find a seat and enjoy an electric brandy (*^^*)(I forgot to take a picture of the alcohol, haha). I really wanted to try more dishes, but it was our second stop and my stomach reached its limit, so I had to give up ( i ꒳ i ). If you come to Asakusa, you definitely have to come here! My desire to visit this place was fulfilled and I am very satisfied♡

It had been many years since my last visit, but I finally had the chance to enjoy the iconic Denki Bran at Kamiya Bar in Asakusa. I remember it used to taste a bit sweet, but it still burns going down just like that 40% day. The atmosphere remains the same with families and people of all ages chatting away, while some quietly read books. It was a comforting moment to relax in the unchanged interior and ambiance. Thank you for the wonderful experience. ♬
