Around 12:30 on a regular day, I went to the restaurant alone. There were about 2 groups of customers waiting inside. The staff quickly assisted me. There is a terrace and a second-floor seating area, but the air conditioning on the second floor is currently broken. I requested a table on the terrace and was seated there. The first floor of the restaurant was fully occupied. The terrace had 3 tables occupied before me, so there was still some space available. I was the only one dining alone. I ordered a pancake, wondering if I could handle it all, but I wanted to show off the mountain of whipped cream! However, I decided to go for the seasonal Mont Blanc pancake (available from 9/1 to 9/28). It looked like a decent portion and seemed suitable for one person. For my drink, I chose iced Kona coffee. It's already September, so maybe it's a bit cooler now. Dining on the terrace was the right choice. I wonder how hot it must be on the second floor. The pancake arrived in about 10 minutes, accompanied by three syrups - guava sauce, coconut sauce, and maple syrup. The flavors were already included, but you could add more to your liking, as announced. The pancake looked quite sweet. It consisted of 4 layers with plenty of Mont Blanc cream on top. There was even a chestnut hidden inside. The Mont Blanc was indeed very sweet. However, if you ate the plain part of the pancake without being invaded by the Mont Blanc cream at the center of the 4 layers, you could sense a subtle saltiness, allowing for a brief respite. The generous amount of whipped cream, compared to the Mont Blanc cream, felt refreshing, serving as a palate cleanser. The chocolate sauce drizzled over the ice cream also strangely felt refreshing. Perhaps it served as a break in flavors. When you're in the mood for something intensely sweet, you'll be completely satisfied and finish it all in one go. I managed to eat it all by myself. However, whether it was due to my lack of determination or not, I left some of the Mont Blanc cream and whipped cream uneaten. The Kona coffee had a nice bitterness and was refreshing, but it arrived quite late. It only came when I had about 1/4 of the pancake left, and by then, my stomach was already quite full from drinking water while eating the sweet pancake. The staff's service was great with lovely smiles, so it was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, my craving for something intensely sweet was fulfilled. Thank you for the meal!
