I had the daily gratin for 1600 yen, which came with salad, bread, and coffee or tea after the meal. The gratin had chicken and eggplant in a creamy white sauce, and it was delicious! It's not always on the menu, so I want to try it again. I went right before lunchtime was ending, so I had to eat quickly instead of leisurely. Next time, I want to go during a more relaxed time and enjoy some wine.

The quiche was delicious and the greenery on the terrace was beautiful and relaxing. I wish there were more lunch options like pasta or hamburgers, as the menu only offered quiche and doria. It would be nice to have a wider selection to choose from.

I ordered my favorite Nicoise salad at a place in my neighborhood that I had been curious about for a while. Unfortunately, the base of the salad was just regular lettuce, which was disappointing. I thought it was a proper French bistro, but they served a more Japanese-style salad, which was a letdown. The olive tapenade was delicious.

I have visited this bistro several times because I really wanted to eat cassoulet. They offer their famous cassoulet here, and there are always more than 10 types of wine available to pour yourself from the barrel. The food has a solid French bistro taste, and it's always nice to see French customers dining here.

Some people have written in reviews that the customer service is bad. I used to like coming here often, but the attitudes of two staff members were terrible. The way they served, talked, and handled dishes made my companion shocked too. I used to be a regular customer, but I might not come back anymore. It's a shame because the atmosphere is lovely. I hope that the pleasant service will return.

I visited Le Comptoir Occitan in the building just across the intersection of Daikanyama. We went around 7:30 pm on Saturday without a reservation and were able to get in easily. What we had: - Charcuterie set - Onion gratin soup - Tomato stew with swordfish, etc. - 2 glasses of wine each for 3 people Total cost: ¥13,500 for 3 people The restaurant has wine barrels on the wall, and you can choose your favorite wine and pour as much as you like into your glass. The food was delicious, and the experience of pouring your own wine made it a very enjoyable and lovely place.

Le Comptoir d'Occitan in Daikanyama. Located next to the French restaurant "Passion" at Daikanyama Hillside Terrace. It is a casual restaurant where you can also enjoy the cafe with terrace seating. On this day, I used the cafe. I had the Paris-Brest Choux St. Classic cake and enjoyed it leisurely. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I have always made reservations for dinner before visiting, but last week I happened to stop by for lunch on a Wednesday, which was the restaurant's scheduled day off. I ended up having lunch at Michelangelo's. I didn't realize that for lunch, you need to call an hour before your desired time to make a reservation. I parked my car at the Hillside parking lot and saw the passionate chef carrying a large pot towards the back of the parking lot. I have seen a few chefs there before, so I assume there must be a food storage area in another building at Hillside Terrace. We decided to have lunch at Kuchibue, a Western-style restaurant that replaced Tom's Sandwich, or at Hollywood Lunch Market where we admired the cherry blossoms. The restaurant was full of mainly couples and groups of two women, with a mix of small tables near the terrace or the staircase. We were offered a larger table by moving a utility table, where we enjoyed a leisurely lunch. My husband changed his mind from macaroni gratin to seafood doria, while I ordered grilled swordfish and onion gratin to share. The lunch came with bread, a small salad, and coffee. The onion gratin was delicious, but my husband preferred the seafood doria at New Grand. The swordfish was a typical cut found in American and European restaurants, not the rare cut we had at Giancarlo last month. We enjoyed it with a South African Chardonnay, which had a mild dryness and good aroma. After lunch, we drove to Odaiba to see the cherry blossoms, but they were only half bloomed. We stopped by a pet shop to buy freeze-dried tofu, chicken breast, and chicken fillet for our dog, Beatrice, before heading home.

I have visited Passion several times before, but this was my first time at Contoir. The atmosphere was bright and lively, just like being in France, and the food and wine were delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the dessert and Armagnac after the meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I attended a farewell party organized by my old friends. I love eating the Pâté de Campagne here on a baguette. I also enjoy their quiche. The gratin was delicious today. It's nice that you can choose and drink your favorite wine from the barrels lined up. The price is reasonable for the quality of the food and you can easily visit this place.

- Quiche à la provençale for ¥1000 - Meat macaroni gratin for ¥1400 Quiche: The quiche had a soft and creamy texture with a strong flavor of gorgonzola and shimeji mushrooms. I love gorgonzola, so I was very happy with it. The crust was crispy, and the bottom part was moist. It also had chicken in it. Gratin: The gratin had meat at the bottom, macaroni in the middle, and cheese on top. The meat had a strong presence and was satisfying to eat. There was no unpleasant meat smell, making it easy to enjoy. The macaroni was soft and thin, and there was less cheese than expected, making it light and easy to finish in one go!

It was a revisit since Halloween, and we had to call four times to get through. The restaurant is open all day, so we usually call on the day to check for availability. However, in December, there were many private parties, and one time we couldn't get through at all. We called the neighboring Passion restaurant and they informed us that they were closed from 3 pm for a private event starting at 6 pm. We managed to secure a table at 5:30 pm, despite the rain earlier in the day. The restaurant was fully booked, but they managed to accommodate us at a table by the window. We ordered Niswas (S: ¥1000), Onion Gratin (S: ¥1200), and Macaroni Gratin with Toulouse sausage (¥2000). We also got a cute Bush de Noel (¥3800) to take home, along with Pork Rillettes (¥990) to enjoy with Mitik wine. Beatrice showed no interest in the dishes, except for when the Rillettes arrived. The restaurant was full by 6:30 pm, and we enjoyed Chocolate and Fig Ganache and Ciboust (¥600 each) for dessert with warm tea (¥650). The consistent food quality and attentive service even when busy make Passion Bistro stand out. Looking forward to visiting again next year!

Reunion with my high school friend K, who currently lives in America, after 3 years took place on Halloween night. We decided on the day and I called ahead to reserve a bottle of Mitiq for us. Our table was set on the left side towards the back, with a Passion theme. Due to the time difference, we had to move up our dinner time to 6 pm. As soon as we arrived at the restaurant, Patrick uncorked the Mitiq. We ordered Onion Gratin (¥1200) and Niçoise Salad (¥1400), and also requested the Cassoulet in advance as it takes time to prepare. We started with the Catalan-style Escargot with Parsley Butter (¥1860) paired with a Mitiq from Southern France (¥5600). The wine had a rich fruity flavor and soft tannins. The Escargot and red wine were a perfect match, creating a synergistic effect. We felt like we didn't need anything else, just some delicious baguette to keep enjoying the moment forever. The Cassoulet from Southern France (¥2400) was a hot dish made with duck and pork sausage cooked with white beans, a specialty of Maison Le Comptoir Occitan in Languedoc, Southern France. It was truly a masterpiece! As 7 pm approached, the restaurant started to get busier. Before leaving, we met two small dogs at a table near the entrance. For dessert, there were 7 options to choose from, and I went with the Griotte Cherry Tart (¥600). K chose the Chocolate Gras (¥600) with tea (¥650). The round ice cream was served on a stone plate, adding a stylish touch. K ordered Calvados (¥2000) and we enjoyed the Griotte Cherry Tart together. After finishing our Halloween dinner with the Halloween bottle, we walked up the stairs and saw dogs out for a walk on the street, making Beatrice very happy. The moon was rising above the parking lot at Hillside, closer and larger than the moon seen from K's room. We had a 25-minute drive to the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi, enjoying the nighttime view from the car window on this adult Halloween night. K was happy to say that she would be returning to America in 3 days, and the next time we would meet would be next year. She joked that she always gains 5 pounds in a week when she visits Japan because the food is so delicious. I told her to forget about 5 pounds and aim for 10 pounds next time we enjoy delicious food together, K.

After a 7-month absence, my return visit coincided with a rainy day. However, in Occitan, even on a rainy day, there is no need to walk endlessly from a coin parking lot because delicious food awaits at this top choice restaurant for rainy days. On this day, I was greeted by Patrick, the son of Andre Passion, who led me to a table in the back. It had been a long time since I last saw him, since the days of Petite Bourdon. I was curious to see how things had changed since my last visit to this large restaurant. It turns out, "It's just the same as before!" The first time I visited was for a dear friend E's birthday dinner over 20 years ago, and the last time was for an anniversary dinner 3 years ago. Beatrice was still a puppy back then and was so cute sleeping while sitting up! This year, I'm excited for the limited edition Halloween bottle that Mithique, a favorite from the past, is releasing. There are only two weeks left until Halloween! Last year, I went to Mithique twice to get a barrel and enjoyed a Beaujolais. This year, each bottle has a different label design, so you don't know which design you'll get until you open the box. Patrick mentioned that he couldn't choose, so it's a surprise. I ordered Toulouse sausage macaroni gratin (¥1600) from the seasonal gratin menu, while I had the Roquefort quiche (¥1300). For drinks, I chose tea and espresso. The Roquefort quiche paired perfectly with the southern French Mithique (¥3900), creating a delightful combination of cheese and red wine. The warm quiche, with mushrooms and a hint of Roquefort, had a comforting texture that was not too soft, but rather soothing. I was surprised to see two slices on the plate and the waiter smiled, saying "It's a lunch portion!" I look forward to enjoying Mithique on Halloween night again!

I learned about cassoulet while studying to become a wine expert, so I came to try the famous cassoulet. The cassoulet (4,400 yen) was incredibly delicious. It had a bit of richness, but the flavors of duck and pork permeated through it so intensely. It made me want to try cassoulet from other cheaper restaurants as well, as I felt the potential of this dish. If I have the opportunity and money, I would definitely like to try the original Passion's cassoulet.

It might be the bistro version of the famous store Passion in Daikanyama. Even though the name Passion is not included anymore. It said that salad and bread are not included in the Saturday lunch, but they served salad. I ordered gratin, pasta, and quiche. The flavors were subtle at first, but I couldn't stop eating. Maybe ordering a little extra here is a good idea because the balance is exquisite. It was a shame that the salt and pepper were moist and hardly came out of the bottle.

I had lunch here last Sunday after a live show in Daikanyama, and it was delicious! It had been a while since I had such tasty al dente pasta. The bacon was especially good. The restaurant was crowded, but it had a stylish and nice atmosphere.

This year, I had the annual cherry blossom viewing lunch at Le Comptoir Occitan's terrace. The majority of the terrace was filled with foreigners, with two French gentlemen sitting next to us. We enjoyed wine in barrel glasses for 950 yen, just the right amount to carry without spilling (lol). My companion had a Heartland beer for 850 yen. We ordered a Nice-style salad for 1400 yen, which came with bread and coffee. The salad had potatoes, tuna, and boiled eggs. For the main dish, we had the Cassoulet, a traditional dish from southern France made with duck, pork, and white kidney beans, for 4,400 yen. The aroma of the meat was appetizing, and the duck confit, pork, and sausages were flavorful. The white kidney beans were rich and delicious, melting in the mouth. We enjoyed the sinful taste of the meat fat and umami, soaking it up with baguette. It was a generous portion, so sharing the salad and Cassoulet is recommended. We added a cake for 550 yen, including a Paris-Brest with rich praline cream and a simple yet delightful chocolate cake. The cherry blossom petals danced in the background with French music playing. Grateful for another year of cherry blossom viewing lunch, looking forward to next year...
