I finished my plans early and got hungry, so I visited Jun Jun Gyoza-bo for the first time in a while. It was around lunchtime when I entered, but it was relatively empty that day. There were no other customers when I entered. This time, I didn't order gyoza, just two fried dishes and a beer!! I enjoyed a solo drink while watching the TV in the restaurant. I've been into Chinese food lately and have been to various restaurants, but so far I really like Jun Jun Gyoza-bo!! Unfortunately, I can't come to Akihabara frequently, so I can't use it often... I hope they will open a branch near my home! Thank you for the meal!

We always use this restaurant for our post-meeting dinners with 17 members. The best cost performance with all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat courses for 3,680 yen. Everyone is very satisfied with the delicious food. The only downside is that the tables are small (laughs).

This is a shop with great cost performance. Delicious and cheap! It is highly praised by young male employees of the supporting company. It seems like they are becoming regular customers from repeat customers. The Chinese food is down-to-earth (not high-end at all), but everyone eats too much (lol). Will definitely come back.

I felt like eating dumplings in Akihabara, so I visited this place! The recommended boiled dumplings have thick skin and a satisfying texture. Other dishes are also reasonably priced and have generous fillings, making it a great value for money. The restaurant has plenty of seating, making it perfect for dropping by casually.

On a Saturday in July, I visited the restaurant at 12:30 pm. The interior was decorated in red and black with a Chinese theme, giving a clean and neat atmosphere. It wasn't crowded, so I was able to relax. The dishes I ordered were as follows: - Meat and vegetable stir-fry lunch set for ¥750: The crunchy bean sprouts were nice, but the flavor was average. The portion size was generous. - 5 dumplings: Juicy dumplings filled with meat, cabbage, and chives. The taste was also average. There are many Chinese restaurants in Akihabara, so it's hard to decide where to go.

This is a Chinese restaurant located a short walk from Akihabara Station, run by non-Japanese owners. I visited for lunch on a weekday and ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork set from the lunch menu for 850 yen. The set came with the main dish of Sweet and Sour Pork, rice, soup, pickled vegetables, and salad. The Sweet and Sour Pork was heavily seasoned, making it quite salty even when eaten with rice. The flavor wasn't particularly impressive. I noticed that many people around me had ordered the Chicken with Chili Pepper set, which looked delicious and came with a generous portion of food, including a side of Mapo Tofu. It seems like I may have made the wrong choice this time. Well, there are days like this. Thank you for the meal.

Lately, I've been going to the electronics district when visiting Akihabara for lunch, so I decided to head towards the Showa Street side after a long time. I was in the mood for Chinese food, so I searched for Chinese restaurants and found this place. Junjun Gyoza-Bo is a Chinese restaurant with a main store and a second store in Akihabara, and also a branch in Kodenmacho. I decided to visit the main store in Akihabara. I had visited the Kodenmacho store about a year and a half ago and it was not that great, so I didn't have high expectations this time. The restaurant was moderately busy with customers at 2 pm, and I was seated at a table for four people even though I was alone. Since I had a disappointing experience with the Ma-La Ramen at the Kodenmacho store, I decided to try the Szechuan Ramen (650 yen) this time. I also ordered a mini Mapo Chahan for an additional 100 yen. While waiting for my order, I noticed that the staff were busy chatting and not bringing my water, so I had to call out to get it. First, the Mapo Chahan arrived. It was surprisingly large for a side dish! The fried rice was topped with plenty of eggs and carrots, and Mapo tofu was poured over it. The flavor of the fried rice was mild to not overpower the taste of the Mapo tofu. The texture of the fried rice was good and not too oily. The Mapo tofu was a bit sweet and lacked spiciness or the use of Sichuan peppercorns, so it was mild in flavor. Personally, I would have preferred it to be spicier. The Mapo tofu was full of tofu, which was good for getting some isoflavones. I hadn't even finished half of the Mapo Chahan when the Szechuan Ramen arrived. It was loaded with greens, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, and green onions. Ground meat was topped on the vegetables, and a generous amount of fried chili peppers was sprinkled on top. It was a noodle dish with a well-balanced mix of ingredients. When I tried it, the noodles were regular medium Chinese noodles. The soup had a slight spiciness from the chili oil, but it wasn't too hot. I tried sinking the fried chili peppers into the soup, but the spiciness remained the same. Even though it was labeled as "Szechuan," I shouldn't have expected too much spiciness. However, the soup had a good flavor. It took me more time to finish the vegetables than the noodles in the Szechuan Ramen. Compared to the Ma-La Ramen I had at the Kodenmacho store, this was much better even though it was cheaper. I'm not sure if it was because the Szechuan Ramen was good or if it was because it was made by a different chef. After finishing the remaining Mapo Chahan, I was 120% full. The 750 yen price was worth it. Payment was not accepted through PayPay, which was a bit surprising since most Chinese restaurants in Akihabara accept it. I will try visiting the second store in Akihabara next time to verify the taste. Keep up the good work. Thank you for the meal.

In terms of the area, on the east side of Akihabara, even though Central Street in Akihabara is crowded on weekends, once you cross over the JR overpass and pass Showa Street, the streets are surprisingly empty. Especially on weekends when offices are closed and many shops are also closed, it was nice to find a place that wasn't crowded. I was considering just ordering the five-ingredient fried rice by itself, but the lunch set was only 750 yen, which was a great deal. Plus, the lunch set is available until 5 pm. The set comes with soup, salad, and pickled vegetables. The fried rice had a good balance of fluffiness and moisture, not overly salty like in many budget restaurants. The portion was generous, with two large shrimp as the main ingredient along with other ingredients. I visited at 3 pm, and even after me, more customers came in, showing how popular the place is. From 5 pm, they offer a great deal called the evening drink set, which includes beer, dumplings, and small side dishes for 850 yen including tax. I look forward to trying that next time!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is like a casual diner, but they have a wide variety of menu options and the food is very delicious! We ordered the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink course, which was very cost-effective. It may be too much for one person to finish, but if shared with a few friends, you can enjoy a variety of dishes. It's a great place to have a fun time with close friends. Not suitable for formal business entertaining. Will definitely go again. 4 stars. The only downside is that there are limited non-alcoholic drink options. The service is a bit rough with Chinese staff, but they are friendly once you get used to it.

It was lunchtime and the WBC was on TV, so I was looking for a place with a TV to have lunch. I couldn't find a seat at the bustling station area, so I went in the opposite direction and found a crowded restaurant. Luckily, I was able to sit in a corner at a shared table. It was my first time at this restaurant, so I ordered fried rice as the main dish with a side of wonton soup. The wontons in the soup were shaped like little heads with meat inside, which was surprisingly delicious. The atmosphere was lively with people talking about the WBC on TV. Overall, it was an exciting lunch experience and I left feeling satisfied.

2022.12.14 (Wed) Sunny First Visit 11:01 Enter the store First customer No customers after 0 11:05 Served Tanmen: 680 yen I visited before work to get some Tanmen. (I have already visited the Akihabara 2nd store and the Kodenmacho store, which are affiliated with this store.) When I entered, the staff was busy preparing take-out bento boxes! I was asked to sit at a suitable table, so I sat at a 4-person table. I checked the menu and ordered the "Tanmen." I thought about adding the 100 yen mini fried rice, but decided against it. Water is self-service, with a glass and a pot of cold water on the table. The table condiments include soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, and GABAN black ground pepper. A wide show from Fuji TV was playing on the TV. It was served in about 4 minutes. The noodles were dark yellow curly thick noodles. They were cooked al dente, which I liked. The ingredients included pork, 1 shrimp, cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, onions, chives, bamboo shoots, and wood ear mushrooms. The pork and vegetables were lightly stir-fried before being simmered in the soup. The pork was slices of pork belly. It had a slightly tough texture and lacked flavor. However, there was a generous amount of pork. The shrimp was boiled in salt and had no odor, with a nice firm texture. The vegetables like cabbage had a crunchy texture. There was a large amount of vegetables—maybe over 400g? Even after eating a lot, the bowl seemed never-ending. The bamboo shoots were slices of canned bamboo shoots, soft and easy to eat. The wood ear mushrooms had a nice firm and chewy texture. The soup was a cloudy salty broth made from chicken bones, aromatic vegetables, and dried ingredients. It had a good umami taste without being too monotonous, possibly due to the dried ingredients used. The saltiness was a bit high, but it was fine because of the abundance of vegetables. There was a slightly higher amount of oil. I managed to finish the noodles and ingredients but left most of the soup as I was already full. I paid the bill to the female staff and left the store. Overall, there were a lot of vegetables, and even just the Tanmen was filling. The noodles were cooked al dente, which I personally liked. The soup, despite being from a Chinese-style restaurant, was tailored to Japanese tastes and was quite good. The service was average, and the cleanliness of the store was decent. I would visit again when I feel like eating lots of vegetables. Thank you for the meal!

I think it's a cheap and cost-effective restaurant. I ordered the Chinese rice bowl from the lunch menu. The menu said it was 750 yen, but on that day it was listed as 650 yen on the receipt and the total bill was also 650 yen. It came with salad and soup at such a bargain price. However, the portion was quite large and I ended up leaving some. Also, I noticed that there were a lot of cabbage cores in it.

It's been a while since I visited the back streets of Akihabara for lunch. I went to a place called Junjun Gyoza-ya, known for their cost-effective gyoza set meal priced at 500 yen. Since it was hot that day, I decided to have chilled tantanmen noodles. The portion was huge, with the vegetables and noodles being about 1.5 times more than what you would get at a regular restaurant. And all of this for only 720 yen. I was impressed by the great value for money. Even after 1:30 PM, the place was still crowded with customers, showing its popularity as a Chinese restaurant.

Junjun Gyoza Restaurant's Tanmen June 5, 2022, Sunny As usual, I ordered the Tanmen without meat. The restaurant was packed with families and groups on this Sunday. I noticed that the splash prevention dividers inside the restaurant were gone, I hope it's okay. The Tanmen was full of vegetables and healthy as always. Thank you for the meal as always.

Hmm. The portion size seems to have decreased significantly compared to before. Maybe it's just the way things are now. It used to be the opposite - the portions were so big that you couldn't finish it all, but it was delicious. This time, it's different. There were quite a few vegetables missing. The soup was also less than usual, barely reaching the edge of the bowl. But considering the price, the taste and portion size are acceptable. The vegetables were crunchy, and the noodles had a slightly yellowish, slippery texture. First, try eating it as is, then sprinkle some pepper, and halfway through, add a lot of vinegar. Vinegar makes everything taste better! There were ashtrays piled up at the entrance, but I've never seen anyone smoking or heard anything about smoking being allowed...

Today's lunch was the usual Tanmen from Junjun Gyoza-ya. When I told the usual female staff member who came to take my order at the empty seat that I wanted Tanmen, she confirmed, "Without meat, right?" before I could even say it. It made me happy that she remembered. Also, the amount of noodles today was no joke. I feel like there was about 200g of noodles. It was a satisfying and piping hot Tanmen. So delicious!

■ Pre-visit Evaluation: ★3.33 I often use this restaurant for lunch. They are open all day, which is valuable for me as I tend to have late lunches. I have used this place more than 10 times, so I will summarize my experiences. By the way, I still don't know how to pronounce the name of the restaurant... ■ Atmosphere & Service: I visit around 3 pm, after the lunch rush, so there are usually only a few customers. I have never been during the peak lunch hours, so I don't know how crowded it gets, but the restaurant has a good capacity. Order: Lunch menu for 720 or 820 yen. During lunchtime, they offer menus at 620 yen, 720 yen, and 820 yen. The 720 yen menu is the most common. ■ Taste & Cost Performance: My favorites are the Chinese rice bowl set and the five-flavor sauce yakisoba. You can also add a mini fried rice, mini mapo rice bowl, or mini mapo fried rice for an extra 100 yen, but it's quite filling, so I've been avoiding it lately. I recommend it for those who want a hearty meal. Although the cost performance is a focus, the taste is also good. ■ Overall: This is my top choice when I want to have Chinese food for lunch. Despite it being part of the restaurant's name, I have not tried their dumplings yet. I need to try them someday...

On 6/22 at 12:30, I had Tianjin noodles for ¥620 and mini mapo chahan for ¥100. I didn't realize Tianjin noodles were this cheap! There's no crab in it, right? But it had shrimp in it. It didn't have thick starchy sauce, but when I turned it over, there were plenty of vegetables inside. That alone is satisfying enough.

Normally I bring my own bento lunch (which costs 500 yen with rice on the side), but I was craving ramen so I visited three days in a row. The day before yesterday, I had dry yakisoba, and yesterday I had tanmen, but I forgot to take pictures... Today's lunch was mala ramen. I asked for it to be spicy when I ordered. The ingredients included leeks, ground pork, wood ear mushrooms, bean sprouts, and carrots. The spiciness was not as strong as it looked, just a lot of chili oil. I sprinkled some Sansho pepper and black pepper on top and enjoyed it. The soup had a good broth and was delicious. I added a lot of vinegar halfway through to change the flavor and enjoyed it. I will definitely go back.

I met up with a former colleague in Akihabara during a business trip and they took me to this restaurant. It had a casual Chinese eatery vibe, and they had a set menu for drinking in the evening. We ordered some dumplings and another dish, along with some alcoholic drinks for around 700 yen. We also got a bottle of shochu to share. The dumplings here were really delicious. And the total cost per person was around 2,000 yen, which is quite affordable! Unfortunately, we had to leave early as they had last orders at 7 pm and closed by 8 pm. But it was a nice night out in Akihabara after a long time. Thank you for the meal.

Gotto Soy Sauce Ramen Set 620 yen Today I had lunch in Akihabara~(^-^) When I arrived at the restaurant, there was a line, but it was for people buying bento boxes, not for dining in. I was surprised~ Entered at 11:39, it's been about 6 years since my last visit. Last time I came at night, so it's my first time having lunch here. The menu has so many options that it's hard to decide. I remember the gyoza being delicious, but it seems they only serve it as part of a set, so I ordered the soy sauce ramen and mini mapo fried rice set. The food was served quickly, in about 4 minutes. The ramen had toppings like seaweed, nori, bean sprouts, green onions, soft-boiled egg, and chashu. The chashu had a unique aroma reminiscent of red chashu. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles with a good texture, surprisingly delicious. The soup was soy sauce-based, with a nostalgic traditional Chinese soba soy sauce flavor. The mapo tofu was quite spicy, and the fried rice had a slightly salty seasoning. The portion of the ramen was quite generous, and after eating the mapo fried rice, I was quite full. It was delicious~ Used for lunch on March 3, 2020.
