The Kanda area is known for its intense competition in both ramen and curry restaurants, and one of the standout places is Keppuka. Upon entering, you need to place your order at the cashier near the entrance before being seated. I'm not a fan of spicy food, so I chose the European vegetable curry for 1100 yen. The curry arrived promptly, with a simple presentation but a rich and mellow flavor. The vegetables - bell peppers, carrots, eggplants, potatoes - were perfectly sized and tender, adding to the overall deliciousness of the dish. Since my stomach doesn't handle certain spices well, I appreciated that this curry was made with only healthy vegetables. It's clear why Keppuka is so popular in the competitive Kanda area. It was a satisfying experience, and I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited during the day on a regular day. I was told that they have spicy curry and a less spicy European-style curry, so I decided to order the spicy pork curry without hesitation. Shortly after, a bowl of egg soup arrived followed by the pork curry. When I tasted it, it was indeed spicy. It had chewy chunks of pork belly, large pieces of cut potatoes, and eggplants. The spiciness was sharp and intense, without much complexity. After eating, I felt like I had just come out of a sauna - sweating a lot but feeling refreshed.

Awajicho, Ogawamachi, and the Kanda area have a lot of famous curry restaurants. I didn't plan on going to this restaurant, but when I went to Kanda Unrin at 11:30, there was already a long line. I was told I would have to wait for 30 minutes without a reservation. So, I decided to look for another famous curry restaurant nearby and ended up at this place. Fortunately, there was no line here. I ordered the "Murgh Curry" for 1050 yen, which is a chicken curry dish. The staff was friendly and the service was good. The curry was very spicy, which I wasn't expecting. It was a bit too spicy for me, and I had to drink a lot of water to finish it. Overall, it was a bit disappointing for a famous restaurant.

On a normal day at 12:00, there was no wait, and the restaurant was about 80% full. It seems like there are many people working nearby. It was very lively and bustling. The system is to order at the counter as soon as you enter and pay. They have something called "Keema Curry" on their menu. I knew what I wanted right away, but for those who want to take their time deciding, it might be a bit overwhelming to order right after entering. There were a few chefs in the kitchen, possibly from India. They served egg drop soup right away, which was a nice surprise. It was very hot, so be careful. The Keema arrived 5-6 minutes later. It was served on top of rice, surrounded by what seemed like lentil curry. On top of the Keema were fresh onions and tomatoes, which was quite an unusual visual. The Keema was quite spicy, with a good amount of spices. The lentil curry had a strong cilantro flavor, was tangy, and also spicy. This place is more suited for a quick lunch rather than a leisurely one. I want to come back to try other items on the menu.

This area has a lot of choices, making it hard to decide... I wanted to have an early lunch, so I went to this place that opens at 11 o'clock. I arrived a little before 11. There was one customer before me. They opened up right away. I ordered the Indian Pork Curry (1,150 yen) at the cash register on the left side immediately upon entering. I received a receipt at the register and was shown to a table. They provided water for me. Soon after, egg soup arrived. After waiting for about 15 minutes, the curry was served. Wow! It looked spicy with a reddish hue. Now, time to taste it. - Indian Pork Curry: The curry had chunks of soft potatoes, carrots, eggplant, onions, etc. in a watery sauce. The curry was spicy from the first bite. If you're not careful, it might make you cough (laughs). The pork was like a block of fatty pork belly simmered in the dish. The sweetness of the fat paired perfectly with the spicy sauce!! So delicious♡♡♡♡♡ The pickles and pickled radish on the table were also good♪ The watery sauce was too good to waste, so I was holding onto my plate to drink it at the end (laughs). - Egg Soup: It was piping hot, adding to the spiciness of the curry (laughs), but it had a comforting taste. It's surprising how well it goes with the curry♪ - Iced Coffee: They provided it as a weekday service. I was really happy♡ Thank you very much♪ Overall... The atmosphere had a classical feel, which was quite calming. The curry was exactly to my taste. Spicy and refreshing after eating, it's just irresistible. I'm satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I had some errands in Kanda, so I decided to have dinner somewhere before heading back home. I searched on Tabelog and found that "Topuka Kanda Main Store" had high ratings, so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived at the restaurant at 18:04, I was surprised to see a red lantern hanging outside, indicating that it was actually an izakaya, not the curry restaurant I thought it was. Turns out they serve curry during the day and transform into an izakaya at night. I went inside and it was quite crowded. I managed to find a seat at the counter. I ordered a draft beer and their specialty tuna belly, which were both delicious. I then ordered a set of black hoppy beer and fried white fish. The white fish was crispy and tasty, especially with the tartar sauce. I also ordered their eye-catching fried chicken and Murghi curry, which were both flavorful and satisfying. I had a couple of refills of shochu and paid 3,800 yen for the meal. It was a great dining experience at Topuka Kanda Main Store tonight.

After a long time, I visited Topca in Kanda for curry from one of the top 100 curry shops. I arrived around 11:40 on a weekday for lunch. There was no wait and seating was available. I ordered the Combo B with pork curry and mutton curry for 1600 yen, with less rice. As soon as I was seated, I was served with cold water and egg soup. The egg soup was delicious with a rich flavor. After a few minutes, the curry arrived. Even though I asked for less rice, it was still a sufficient amount. I started with the pork curry which had a thin, well-spiced gravy and plenty of ingredients, satisfying my taste buds. Next was the mutton curry which was thicker and spicier. It had chunks of potatoes which I am not fond of, but the meat was tender and not too gamey. Both curries were delicious with a good amount of spices, but for the price of 1600 yen, I felt it was a bit high.

The restaurant is located about a 3-minute walk from Awajicho Station and Ogawamachi Station, and around an 8-minute walk from Kanda Station. I sat at the counter, which had about 5 seats, and arrived on a Monday afternoon around 1:00 pm. I ordered the 'Murgi Curry' for 1050 yen, a spicy chicken curry. The curry arrived hot and steaming with chunks of chicken, potatoes, onions, carrots, fried eggplant, and bell peppers. It had a thin consistency and was quite spicy, with a good balance of flavor but leaning more towards the spiciness. The curry is best enjoyed with rice, and I recommend trying the 'assorted curry' if you want to taste both the Indian-style and European-style curries offered at Topka."

I had some errands in Kanda, where there are many famous restaurants, and I was thinking about where to have lunch. I felt like having curry, even though it was still early, so I arrived at Curry Top Quality Curry Puka a little past 11 o'clock. It's a bit hidden in an alley, so you can walk there from Akihabara along Yasukuni Street or from Kanda Station. It was still early, so there were not many customers, and I was able to relax. You choose your meal first, pay, and then take a seat. Many customers had already finished their meals when I arrived. I was a bit hesitant to order because I had heard it was quite spicy, but I decided to go for the Butter Chicken Curry. I love butter chicken, and the fact that it was mild was perfect. It had chunks of chicken and potatoes inside, and the gentle sweetness combined with the aroma of spices and the tanginess of tomatoes was delightful. Not many people ordered the butter chicken, but I was very satisfied with its deliciousness. As it approached noon, more and more customers were arriving, and it seemed to get busy, but the staff's cheerful greetings and diligent work ethic were admirable. I would love to visit again when I have the chance. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Arrived at the Awajicho station exit 1 minute walk store at 11:42 on Monday, with a temperature of 30 degrees and cloudy. Upon entering the store, three customers were eating, wiping off sweat. Purchased a ticket on the left side, "Indian curry other than butter chicken is spicy" so I ordered the butter chicken curry for ¥1,350. Immediately served with egg soup, followed by a mini cold coffee. The curry was served 2.5 minutes later, with a mild spicy orange-colored Indian curry with two large pieces of potatoes, two large pieces of chicken, and green peppers. Delicious!

Kanda Curry Grand Prix 2023, first visit on a Sunday around 4pm, about half full. I ordered the Moriawase A set for 1550 yen, which includes European-style beef tendon curry and pork curry. First, they served soup. Both curries were moderately spicy and delicious.

Arrived around 2:30 PM, after the lunchtime rush. Following the pre-research from reviews, I placed my order and paid at the entrance, then chose a seat after. It was an odd time, so there were only a few customers. The table seats were quite empty, but as a solo customer, I was led to a counter seat facing the wall. I ordered the Beef Sinew Curry for ¥1200 (tax included). There were no visible vegetables in the dish, which was fine for me as I had declined the additional vegetable topping when asked. I usually eat a lot of vegetables, so missing them in one meal is not a big deal. Before the curry arrived, I enjoyed the Oyster and Egg Drop Soup that was served first. The curry appeared in a nostalgic gravy boat-shaped container, which heightened my expectations. The thick curry sauce was filled with chunks of beef sinew, and there was a generous amount of it, almost like a large portion. Balancing the curry and rice intake was important to ensure I didn't finish the rice first. The spiciness level was medium and suitable for everyone. Additionally, I made sure to consume some vegetables with the pickled radish and Fukujin pickles provided on the side. (laughs)

After a long time, I went to Top Curry. I always used to get Beef Sinew + Vegetable Curry, but today I tried the Murgh Curry for 1,050 yen! The light and spicy curry quickly spreads a refreshing spiciness in your mouth. Sweat comes out at the same time! The tenderness of the chicken is also good! I didn't have much appetite, but I finished it all! If you're looking for a curry with a punch of spiciness, I recommend the Murgh Curry!

Although it was a system where you purchase meal tickets, there was no ticket machine, so you had to order at the cashier near the entrance before finding a seat. After about 5 minutes of waiting with no one coming, I was confused. When I tried to sit down, I was scolded for not buying the meal ticket first. The taste was good, but the customer service was not great. I was only told that Indian curry is spicy and European curry is not, so I ordered the classic Keema curry in Indian curry style. It was delicious! The surrounding soup was spiced and had a strong coriander flavor, slightly spicy but very tasty with lingering flavors. The overall balance was good, and if you like spiced curries, I recommend trying it out! Thank you for the meal!

Kanda Curry Grand Prix 2023, 13th visit. Visited with my daughter who enjoys drinking sake. In the past, I tried to bring my daughter here on a weekend because "the sashimi here is amazing," but we were told that "only curry is available on weekends, sashimi is only served on weekday evenings," by the hostess, so we left quietly. Today, determined to try again, we hurried after work and arrived around 6:30 PM, only to find about four people waiting in front of the restaurant. Disappointed, we decided to eat elsewhere, but as we passed by on our way home, we saw that the restaurant was still open and had available seats! We were drawn inside immediately. Even though we were already quite full from eating elsewhere, we couldn't resist ordering the "medium fatty tuna" that was fantastic last time we visited, as well as the recommended "oily sardines" by the hostess. The sardines were delicious, just as the hostess had promised. The tuna arrived next, with different parts of the fish served on one plate for variety - it was indeed deliciously chewy! I wanted to pair this with sake, but I opted for another round of Hoppy Black instead. Even though we were already full, I wanted to collect a stamp for the Kanda Curry Grand Prix, so we pushed through and ordered curry. I got my favorite "beef tendon curry," while my daughter, already full, ordered the "mutton curry with naan" from the appetizer menu. Even though appetizer curry wasn't eligible for stamps, the hostess kindly made an exception for us since we explained not being able to come in earlier that evening. I am grateful for the hostess's kindness! The European-style beef tendon curry was rich in meaty flavor and depth. The mutton curry was very spicy and flavorful! Next time, I want to try more sashimi and appetizers, starting early at this place.

It has been hot lately, making it hard to have an appetite during the summer days. I decided to visit Top curry on a whim on a weekday. This time, I ordered the Pork and Keema curry (C set). Both the pork and keema were delicious, but the special blend of Dal's spices really stood out, creating a well-balanced and particularly tasty curry. It was definitely worth the 1,600 yen. It was quite spicy and the portion was generous, so next time I will go for less rice.

My boss loves curry and is participating in the Kanda Curry Grand Prix, so we went on a curry lunch tour with him! I'm not good with spicy food, so I chose the cheese curry which is a Western-style curry. It seems like the Indian curry is really spicy, as I overheard a lady at the next table telling her husband that she couldn't handle it at all after just one bite. I'm glad I didn't choose the Indian curry. The cheese curry was not too spicy at all, just right and tasted like a normal curry.

I felt like having curry for lunch, so I visited Top Curry. I arrived before 12 o'clock and was able to enter smoothly, but after 12 o'clock, customers kept coming in one after another. This time, I wanted to challenge Indian curry, so I ordered the Murgh Curry. The curry sauce was extremely spicy, making me sweat from my face, but it went really well with the eggplant and chicken.

I read a review that said the atmosphere is lively like an izakaya at night, but since it was before 6:30 pm on a weekday, I thought there wouldn't be many groups drinking yet. I was wrong! There were already groups drinking, as well as solo drinkers at the counter. I resisted the temptation of alcohol and ordered the European-style beef tendon curry (¥1200). The beef tendon curry only had beef tendon as the topping, but if you want vegetables, you can go for the beef tendon vegetable curry. The curry was surprisingly spicy, but I enjoyed it.
