When it comes to Tsukiji Tamagoyaki, Marubu and Yamanaga were both crowded with long lines, so I decided to go to Marubu with no wait! The Tamagoyaki here costs 150 yen each. It's a reasonably priced treat that you should definitely try while walking around. The taste is so sweet that you could almost say it's like a dessert, which might divide opinions. They sell single pieces of Tamagoyaki with different fillings like shrimp, green onions, and seaweed, each offering a unique deliciousness. One visit is not enough to fully experience all the offerings. Thank you for the meal!

Visit date: July 9, 2023 (Sunday) Tsukiji food tour, first stop! I wanted to eat Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette), so I lined up at the first shop I found and bought it! It is said to be famous because Terry Ito makes it. It cost 150 yen per piece! Unlike the Tamagoyaki I know, which is skewered on a stick, this one was placed in a styrofoam container and could be cut and eaten with transparent plastic. When I cut and tasted it, it was delicious!! It had a sweet and salty Kanto-style seasoning, and it was hot. The surface was crispy and well-baked, very delicious! The one I got was lucky to have three sides with a crispy crust out of four! Lucky♪ The Tamagoyaki my husband had was thicker than mine, probably because it was in the middle. The perfect balance of crispy crust, hot temperature, sweetness, and saltiness made me realize once again that you can't eat this anywhere else but in Tsukiji. After quickly finishing eating, I was able to separate and throw away the container and plastic in the trash can in front of the shop. I would like to eat it again when I visit Tsukiji next time! Thank you for the meal!!

You can enjoy a hot tamagoyaki for only 100 yen at the kind-hearted shop run by the Ito brothers, Terry and Annie. The tamagoyaki had just the right amount of sweetness and a nice aroma, and I finished it in no time. It was so delicious that it made me crave a cold drink. The tamagoyaki was soft and jiggly.

A long-established store in Tsukiji. I don't plan on eating too much, so I was pleased to see that they were selling thinly sliced tamagoyaki for only 100 yen! They really know what they're doing! The tamagoyaki was warm and fluffy, with grated daikon radish served on the side. It was different from the rolled omelette you get at izakayas, more like the sweet tamagoyaki that used to be in my childhood bento. The flavor might be divisive, but I liked it.

I visited Tsukiji for the first time in about 10 years, enjoying a food tour. Along with the famous seafood, I also tried the equally famous tamagoyaki (rolled omelette). It was delicious, especially when paired with eel. It was a bit disappointing that they only accepted cash, but the taste was undeniable. It paired well with beer and left me satisfied.

I happened to go on a Monday morning and saw Terry Ito there. He left right away, but the egg omelette is only 100 yen each. It's cheap, really cheap. There's always a long line. The egg omelette is cooked beautifully, sweet, and delicious. Some people might find it a bit too sweet.

I visited for the first time. It seems to be a popular egg omelette shop run by the Ito family, including Perry Ito. I was glad I came. I enjoyed the sweetness and texture of the omelette, as well as the temperature. If there are flavors with a soy sauce-like taste, I definitely want to try them.

On April 1st, Reiwa 5, Saturday, at 5:10 PM, I came to Tsukiji today. It's not for fun though. I have a delivery appointment at 10 AM in Harumi! So, I rushed to Tsukiji. The first place I went to was Marutake Honten, the family restaurant of Terry Ito. I ordered the Thick Tamagoyaki Half for 400 yen. As expected, they didn't have the 100 yen trial tamagoyaki! There's a shortage of eggs, so prices keep going up! I had it back in the truck. The thick tamagoyaki was very finely textured! Personally, I like it a little burnt, but the fluffy and soft thick tamagoyaki was delicious too! It's a bit sweet, but so tasty! Yummy! Thank you for the meal.

When I went to Tsukiji Outer Market, I always stop by this shop. They have plain, green onion, seafood, and seaweed flavors, but I always go for the green onion flavor. It costs 700 yen. The price seems to have stayed the same as six months ago. I'm impressed that they didn't raise the price even with the high egg prices. The expiration date is about 4 days, so it's a good amount even for someone living alone. It tasted as good as always, with just the right amount of sweetness and the green onion pairing perfectly. I enjoyed it very much.

I visited Marubu Honpo, famous for being run by Terry Ito's older brother. I was impressed by the fact that they are maintaining a price of 100 yen for their eggs despite the high prices. There was a line, but it flowed smoothly. I enjoyed the hot, fluffy and happy texture. Thank you for the meal! ^ ^

I had a seafood bowl and my stomach was about 70% full. I actually wanted to eat grilled tuna (similar to a taiyaki), but the shop is closed on Sundays. Oh well, I guess I'll just have some tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette). Terry Ito's brother's shop is famous, right? Oh, the line is long, everyone is eating tamagoyaki. Even though there's a line, you can buy it quickly. Thank you, here you go. Oh, this is the tamagoyaki from Tsukiji! It's super sweet and fluffy with dashi. Well, this is a nice souvenir from visiting Tsukiji. It was delicious and hot! Thank you for the meal.

Tamagoyaki on the go, 100 yen each. This is the famous tamagoyaki from Terry Ito's family, known from TV shows. It's slightly sweet with a rich dashi flavor, and the eggs are fluffy. It's delicious, but I prefer my tamagoyaki a bit sweeter. If there's no line, I'd like to visit again since it's freshly made and only 100 yen.

On a regular Thursday around 11:50 AM, after having a bowl of hormone rice at "Kitsuneya" and sushi at "Okame," I stopped by "Tamagoyaki Marutake" craving something sweet. I heard that Tamagoyaki Marutake is run by Terry Ito's brother, but he wasn't there that day. There were no other customers in line, so I got a freshly made tamagoyaki for ¥100 (tax included). It was indeed freshly made, hot and fluffy! The eggs were soft and sweet, making it a perfect dessert-like treat after a meal. Just a couple of shops down is "Yamanaga," another famous spot, and their tamagoyaki had a more natural sweetness to it. Nevertheless, when in Tsukiji, this is definitely a must-try. Thank you for the delicious meal! 🍳🍴

The famous Terry Ito's family-run tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) shop in Tsukiji Outer Market was surprisingly crowded even on weekdays, with many foreign visitors as well. The tamagoyaki slices sold for 100 yen each were flying off the shelves. You could see the artisans behind the glass cooking the tamagoyaki. The tamagoyaki here had a quite sweet flavor. While the texture was fluffy and not bad because it was freshly cooked, the sweetness was a bit overwhelming and could get tiring. It was a simple tamagoyaki, but the egg flavor seemed a bit weak. By the way, Marutake's tamagoyaki did not contain dashi (broth). Whether it contains dashi or not, tamagoyaki can taste different. My companions agreed with me. Personally, I prefer the moist tamagoyaki from Matsutake or Ogiya over Marutake's.

I compared the famous Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) at Tsukiji Market. This is Marutake, a popular shop with multiple locations in Tsukiji. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and the market was bustling with foreign tourists and young people, and Marutake was no exception. I lined up, made a purchase, and got my Tamagoyaki for 100 yen. I ate it right there on a tray. The texture was very fluffy with a juicy broth flavor. It was a bit on the sweeter side, typical of Kanto-style Tamagoyaki. It's easy to eat on the go, so I highly recommend it.

Hello everyone. This is Hide-chan Kouchan Papa, who travels between Tokyo and Nagoya. When in Nagoya, I spend time with my family, while in Tokyo, I am on a business trip alone. Therefore, my posts may have more content about Tokyo and less about Nagoya. Thank you in advance. This is the second stop of my New Year's food tour in Tsukiji. This place is a famous tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) shop known as the family business of the famous Terry Ito. There was a long line of foreign tourists returning, but the turnover was very quick, and I was able to buy it in no time. I had a 100 yen tamagoyaki. Looking back at the photos, the tamagoyaki looks very neat and well-made, but when I actually ate it, the inside was fluffy and creamy, with a gentle sweetness that enhanced the deliciousness of the eggs. It felt like I experienced the power of a long-established shop, completely different from what you would normally eat at home or at a regular izakaya. I think this is a must-visit shop when you come to Tsukiji. Thank you for reading until the end today.

I usually have a strong preference for minor or local items, but sometimes I like to try even the most popular ones. This particular shop had two windows, one for souvenirs and one for 100 yen egg omelets. I decided to line up for the 100 yen omelets. The affordable price and the event-like atmosphere of eating on the spot seemed to be the secret to its popularity. The taste was a sweet and traditional egg omelet. The hot omelet, freshly cooked, tasted even better in the cold December weather.

Tsukiji, Tamagoyaki food walk. Marutake Honpo is a well-known shop that specializes in tamagoyaki and has been featured on TV many times. Established in the late Taisho era, with a history of over 80 years, this shop is also known as the family business of the producer Terry Ito. Skilled artisans carefully cook the eggs from 3 am every morning. When I went to the shop, there was a line of about 30 people, but the turnover was very good and I was able to purchase after waiting for a few minutes. Marutake uses fresh eggs delivered daily from a contract farm that manages the chickens' feed. No extra additives are added, only the umami of the ingredients and the secret dashi are used, and skilled artisans carefully cook them. The fluffy, melting texture in the mouth is unique to high-quality tamagoyaki!! The taste is sweet and you can feel the flavor of the dashi. It was also delicious and I would like to have it as a side dish for alcohol. Thank you for the delicious tamagoyaki.

Foreman Tokyo Advent Day 10①・Tamagoyaki (rolled omelette) 1 piece ¥100・Highly recommended when in Tsukiji♪・Sweet tamagoyaki with a good aroma of dashiThis place is a famous tamagoyaki shop in Tsukiji run by Terry Ito's brother! On this day, I stayed at the cool ryokan "Ohsou Ryokan" near Tsukiji that I had always wanted to stay at, so I decided to have breakfast at a simmered dish shop in Tsukiji! I was planning to go drinking later, so I left the ryokan with my small suitcase and headed to Tsukiji from the convenience store. As I turned the last corner to head to the simmered dish shop, I saw it! "Oh, this place!!" I had received a whole tamagoyaki as a gift from my drinking buddies before (along with a character-printed cooler bag that I still use haha) and it was so delicious that I wanted to eat it again! Many people were eating around the area, and I was drooling too! I wanted to eat it!\(^o^)/ So, I quickly grabbed one on the roadside! "Mmm! It's so delicious♪" It was freshly grilled, piping hot, with a nice dashi flavor and just the right amount of sweetness that I like♪ It was gentle on my empty stomach!! It was so satisfying!! I wanted to have seconds because I love it so much♪ I want to eat it again♪ They serve it on a plate, but I wonder if it would be more convenient and eco-friendly if they put it on a skewer or chopsticks like some other shops do? It seems like a waste to use a plate! I was so focused on the simmered dish that I had completely forgotten about this place, but it was such a happy coincidence that I happened to come across it! Nothing to do with this, but here's a picture of the "Ohsou Ryokan" where I stayed:・1 night stay without meals ¥6000, reservations by phone only・Toilet is Japanese-style and the bath is quite cool・Next to an APA Hotel and across from a luxury condominium・The grandma landlady acts like a ninja or spy, providing great hospitality haha・Has a vibe like there could be zashiki warashi (a mischievous spirit) around・Smoking allowed

When I went to Tsukiji, one of the foods I wanted to try was the sweet rolled omelette, which cost 100 yen for a street food portion. While it may seem cheap compared to the price of eggs, it is reasonable for a tourist spot. The sweet flavor of the rolled omelette was not to my liking, and I wonder if this is the norm for other rolled omelette shops as well.
