I used the Youth 18 ticket to go on a mountain climbing trip to Mt. Tanigawa in Gunma Prefecture. On the way there and back, I explored gourmet food. I have visited a standing seafood bar called "Uosou" in Ameyoko, Ueno, several times before, but I always arrived just before closing time (7:30 pm) and couldn't place a last order because it was full. This time, I finally visited before 7 pm, so I managed to get a seat and place an order. I ordered a sashimi platter with three types (Indian tuna, cherry salmon, red sea bream for a total of 500 yen), a set of fresh oysters (1,000 yen), stingray liver sashimi (800 yen), star of monkfish liver (500 yen), a small bottle of Ebisu beer (500 yen), and sake (500 yen). I also wanted to try their famous salmon roe bowl, but unfortunately, it was sold out. Everything was fresh, lively, and delicious, but the stingray liver sashimi and star of monkfish liver were exotic. The stingray liver sashimi was still in a solid frozen state when served, but it turned into a creamy texture over time. It had a rich, buttery taste, full of flavor and richness. The "star of monkfish liver" had a texture and taste similar to beef liver sashimi, surprising me. Also, the Ebisu beer was served without a glass, so I ended up drinking it straight from the bottle. It was a nostalgic experience after many years, reminding me of my younger days, and for some reason, it moved me.
