TOMIT
This was my first time trying mushroom hot pot. The restaurant was located in a building that seemed to be mostly taken over by Chinese influence. The interior had many semi-private table seats, and the voices around me were all speaking in Chinese. We ordered two of the cheapest mushroom hot pot courses (2980 yen each), along with lemon sours (430 yen) and three square highballs (480 yen each). The hot pot and sliced mushrooms, along with winter worm summer grass, arrived. The soup in the hot pot was delicious. The dish came with plenty of mushrooms, vegetables, tofu, and more. The mushrooms included shimeji, eringi, enoki, maitake, nameko, shiitake, hiratake, and matsutake. The vegetables included tofu, yuba, tofu noodles, komatsuna, Chinese cabbage, lettuce, and shungiku. There were also slices of pork belly, lamb, and beef. We mixed our own sauce for the meat, using sesame sauce, spicy sauce, green onions, and cilantro. It was delicious. We also ordered additional chlorella noodles (450 yen). We enjoyed eating the chlorella noodles in the tasty soup, as well as dipping the meat in the sauce for a unique flavor. The soup after cooking the meat was also delicious. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable dining experience.
