I visited the restaurant for lunch. I had been curious about it for a while and finally had the chance to go. I arrived around 11 o'clock and the place was already full, with a line forming by the time I left. I ordered the Lorenza (1,480 yen). The sour cream was refreshing, making it a good choice when you want something creamy but not too heavy like carbonara. Even the regular portion was quite filling. The noodles were just right, not too hard or too soft. I haven't tried other menu items, but I felt this one was a bit on the salty side. However, it had a rich flavor! I would like to try other dishes next time.

Visited on the weekend. There was a line of over 20 people. This is a spaghetti specialty restaurant founded in 1977 in Shinjuku. I had been checking it out since falling in love with the "thick-cut bacon topped peperoncino" that looks like it came out of a Ghibli movie. It was pretty crowded during lunch, but I managed to get in at an early opening time. The number of seats and turnover rate inside the restaurant seemed good, so I didn't have to wait too long to be seated. Of course, I ordered the "Arioolio Bacon" peperoncino. The regular size is 110g, so the large size of 180g would be better for guys. As expected, it came with four thick slices of bacon covering the spaghetti so much that you couldn't see the noodles. As the name suggests, the noodles were al dente, with a strong chewy texture. The slightly salty and oily spaghetti, along with the bacon, capers, and garlic, made for a satisfying meal that didn't get boring. The bacon had a rich flavor and was deliciously meaty. It was a satisfying lunch. Highly recommended.

Aruden Tei used to be everywhere, but now there are fewer of them. When you think of Aruden Tei, the first thing that comes to mind is the Green Pea Salad. It's not an exaggeration to say that people come here just for that. So, I usually always order the Carbonara pasta, but today I couldn't resist trying the intriguing Aglio Olio Bacon. The Green Pea Salad had warm green beans this time, which was a bit different but still satisfied my craving for green peas. As for the Aglio Olio Bacon, it was even better than expected! The visual presentation was amazing. The taste somehow managed to exceed that. It's like the flavors sneak into your brain. This is probably why Instagrammable dishes are so popular. Well, it was delicious as usual, so no complaints there. Although, I do have a slight regret for not trying the Porcini Mushroom and Iberico Pork Bacon from the autumn menu. As I left the restaurant, I noticed a long line had formed.

We had lunch with my husband at Center Ville near Triangle Square for an event. I didn't know this place was so popular on weekends because we usually come during weekdays. The pasta here is delicious! It's totally different from the pasta we have at home, haha. If you want pasta in Shinjuku, this is the place to go without a doubt. I want to try their seasonal menu next time!

I was in the mood for pasta, so I went to this chain restaurant recommended by the person I was with (there are three locations in Tokyo?). I ordered the Amatriciana and it was really good! The pasta was medium thickness and it had two types of bacon, just delicious in a normal way. I don't feel like I must go again, but I might be interested in trying the recommended sour cream pasta next time.

It's a revisit! I ordered the reliable Vongole and the Alitalia that I discovered last time! Eating pasta in a cool, air-conditioned restaurant on a hot summer day. It's delicious! The Vongole has a rich seafood flavor that makes me want to visit again and again! The Alitalia is a greedy set with tomato sauce, cream, and slightly salty mushrooms, perfect for indecisive people like me! Please try the Vongole and Alitalia! After leaving the hospital, it was still just past 11 o'clock, but I decided to try visiting a certain Italian restaurant where there is usually a line forming by noon, but it was still possible to enter. As expected, I was able to enter right away. I ordered the Vongole Tomato pasta. At 1330 yen, it was a bit expensive, but it had plenty of clams and felt like a good deal. The noodles were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious.

Today's lunch was at Aruden Tei Shinjuku Center Building, a place I have been going to for many years. I usually order the Ario Orio with extra noodles for 1,600 yen, a bit on the pricier side. It's a pasta with a punch, thanks to the extra garlic. I love it, but the truth is, the taste can vary depending on the day. Today was a disappointment. The flavor was weak, lacking saltiness and punch. I felt unsatisfied and left. I'll make sure to order it deliciously next time.

I went to work in Shinjuku and had the opportunity to eat at a restaurant I had been wanting to try. There was a line of about 10 people before 1 pm on a weekday, but I only had to wait for about 15 minutes before being seated at the counter. I placed my order while waiting in line, so my food was served in about 5 minutes. I ordered 1.5 times the regular portion, but I think I should have gone for the double portion. The pasta was chewy and delicious, and I could see why it's so popular. However, I had to ask for cheese and Tabasco separately. Next time, I want to try a cream-based pasta as they have a variety of menu options.

I stopped by Alitalia on my way back from the SOMPO Art Museum (featuring Kiyoshi Yamashita's exhibition). I had been curious about Alitalia for some time and decided to try their cream sauce and meat sauce pasta. It was a perfect combination of the two sauces! Eating just cream sauce alone can feel heavy as you progress, so having the meat sauce in the middle was a nice touch. The dish also had powdered cheese and cayenne pepper, which added a lot of satisfaction. It was a very satisfying meal. Thank you for the delicious food!

I've been wanting to eat pasta lately, so I decided to go to eat bruschetta since I haven't had it in a while. I've only used this restaurant for lunch before. My friend always likes the carbonara here. Today, I haven't decided on my order until I sit down. It's so cold inside the restaurant, I feel like I'm freezing. I'm usually sensitive to heat, but this is too much. The green pea salad came with solidified fat, but it softened up as I left it, a bit disappointing. I wonder if there are any attentive staff here. There are some friendly ones, but not particularly attentive. The bruschetta with tomato on top of the bread is delicious! I always add some salt to it. Today, I indulged in Vongole, topped with shrimp and shimeji mushrooms. This seems to be an original menu item. There are so many clams in it, 27 to be exact. I like to take the shells off and eat them all at once. I had a bite of the carbonara too. The bacon was really well done and a bit salty. It's been a while since I had pasta that was faithful to al dente.

[Shop Atmosphere] At Arudentei, there is always a line forming in front of the shop right at lunchtime. When I visited at 2:30 PM, the shop was about 60% full and I was able to be seated smoothly without having to wait. [Dish] Lorenza 1480 yen. I tried a menu other than Carbonara and Arrabbiata for the first time! The sour cream's acidity was good! The bacon was plentiful even without adding extra. Personally, I think it could be a bit more moderate. Overall, it was delicious and became one of my favorite dishes. [Impression] Arudentei has a rough atmosphere that fits well with the office district, giving off a vibe of "filling the stomachs of salarymen!" I always unconsciously end up ordering cream-based dishes, but next time I want to try salt-based and tomato-based dishes too! However, since I only visit about once every six months, my memory gets reset and I end up ordering cream-based dishes again, haha. The lunch is crowded, but it's empty here at night. Recommended for solo diners who are having a hard time finding a place! My personal favorite pasta is Lorenza, but this time I wanted to eat meat. So, I tried the famous Peperoncino pasta at Aruden-tei, which comes with four huge bacon slices. First, I satisfied my bacon craving...!! The peperoncino below is full of garlic. The pasta could use a bit more oil and saltiness, but the al dente texture of the noodles is excellent! I am fully satisfied and my stomach is full! Thank you for the meal!

It is just before noon, but I came to a certain restaurant. Surprisingly, there were only 7 or 8 people waiting, so I could just about find a seat to wait. After a short wait, they came to take my order. Last time I had a carbonara dish, so this time I ordered "Vongole Bianco: 1250 yen + large size 250 yen". The normal serving is 110g, and the large serving is 190g. The turnover was quick, and I was seated within 10 minutes. The pasta arrived with a mountain of clams on top. There were so many clams that I started removing the shells in advance, but there were too many clams, so I gave up halfway. There were probably around 30-40 clams in total. My first impression was that the dish had a noticeable oiliness and a slightly mild saltiness. However, when I ate the clams with the pasta, the saltiness of the clams matched well with the pasta, creating a nice balance. What I noticed about this Vongole dish was that they focused on preserving the flavor of the clams and didn't overpower it with the pasta sauce. The pasta itself was not the type where the oil and broth emulsify, but rather it gave off a garlic oil-based pasta impression. If you are expecting a Vongole dish with a rich clam extract sauce, you might be disappointed. Personally, I was very satisfied with the clam-topped pasta. It would be great to have a delicious pasta-focused restaurant like this nearby.
