Japanese Masshole
Since visiting the Tender House at Shirogane-dai, I have been receiving newsletters from their group and saw the Beer Terrace promotion, which caught my interest, so I made a reservation. It was my first time having something other than sushi in Tsukiji. Originally, I planned to dine on the outdoor terrace, but unfortunately, it started raining right at the reserved time, so we had to move indoors. Oh well, nothing we can do about it. The course included 8 items with the main being a beef fillet, all for 8,500 yen with a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option. It started with appetizers like prosciutto, followed by black pork sausages, zepolines, meat gratin, beef fillet and pork, and surprisingly, it ended with a serving of spaghetti aglio e olio. I particularly enjoyed the black pork sausages, beef fillet and pork, and the spaghetti aglio e olio. The sausages were juicy and flavorful, and the beef fillet and pork were satisfying. As for the zepolines, they are like small bread rolls, but I think they could skip serving them. The texture felt a bit cheap and it kind of brought down the overall impression despite the other items being good. The highlight of this place is definitely the view from the 47th floor. Unfortunately, we couldn't dine outside due to the rain, but by the time we finished eating, the rain had stopped, so we got to enjoy the view from the balcony a bit. The waiters and waitresses were friendly and efficient, which was great. Considering the food, location, and service, 8,500 yen is quite a good deal. I will definitely come back for a dining experience on the balcony before the end of this summer!
