I visited the popular patisserie Patisserie Les Ombres et Lumières in Ebisu. I tried the Gateau Chantilly Fraise and Chou A La Creme, which had an elegant flavor that I personally enjoyed. I think it has a reliable deliciousness that would appeal to many people. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

There is a patisserie in Ebisu that is open until 9pm, offering a wide variety of baked goods. The cake showcase is still well stocked even late at night, and you can see them being made in the back. The chocolate flavor of the Gateau Chocolat is rich and the whipped cream is light. The nuts are coated and complement the taste of chocolate. This dessert delights the senses with its texture, aroma, and flavor.

On a Saturday afternoon, I tried a cake shop near where I had lunch. The shop is located on the main street, making it easy to find. The interior is a bit small, and cakes are the main focus. Surprisingly, there were not many customers despite the shop's popularity. The cakes are priced around 600 yen and up. Personally, I found the line-up of cakes to be just right, so I ordered the Gateau Chantilly Frappe and the Pistachio Griotte. As for the taste of the cakes, they were surprisingly average. I wish I could have tasted more pistachio in the Pistachio Griotte.

Pistachio Griotte - 753 yen
Caramel Chocolat - 626 yen
Matcha Meringue - around 200 yen
The Pistachio Griotte is a beautiful green pistachio cake. The bottom chocolate cookie is crispy and delicious, and when combined with the berries, mousse, and chocolate cake, it's really tasty! It's very creamy and pleasant to eat. The Caramel Chocolat tastes like foie gras for some reason, maybe because of the caramel... It's rich, more like an appetizer than a dessert. The nuts on top are also delicious. The Matcha Meringue was incredibly intense with matcha flavor. It prioritizes richness over ease of eating, so if you don't like matcha, it might be too strong for you. I was impressed by how intense it was made.

I went to Anea Cafe on Matsumizaka Hill and bought four summer desserts on my way back. They have authentic cold desserts like waffle cones or cups with a choice of vanilla, coffee, or pistachio flavors. They also have sorbet in kiwi, plum, strawberry, and mango & passion fruit flavors. Unfortunately, the mango & passion fruit sorbet was sold out. It was a weekday at 6:30 pm and there was only one female customer in the store. She mentioned that it would only take about an hour for takeout, so she must be heading far away. Being close to the station is convenient!
The first dessert that caught my eye was a fruit tart. It had a rich topping of kiwi, raspberry, blueberry, white and red grapes, mango, pineapple, and a large black cherry on a sablé crust with a thin pastry shell. The orange jelly added to the visual appeal of the tart. The dessert was rich and delicious.
I also purchased blancmange in peach and kiwi flavors. The peach blancmange had a raspberry and aloe vera jelly with lemon grass, while the kiwi blancmange had a blueberry topping with lemon jelly. Both desserts had a lovely almond essence flavor.
Lastly, I tried the seasonal limited-time peach grapefruit mousse, which had a refreshing blend of grapefruit and white peach jelly with lemon jelly and lemon confiture, creating a delightful taste experience. The desserts at Le Senechal were not only visually stunning but also had a depth of flavor supported by skillful techniques. It felt like the summer fairies had descended upon Le Senechal Time with their enchanting desserts.

In Ebisu, there is a patisserie located on a busy street that I often pass by. I didn't know it was one of the top 100 patisseries in Japan. It has a blue roof and a wooden entrance that looks like a foreign patisserie. Inside, there are plenty of products, with a showcase filled with beautiful cakes. It's a place where you can only buy for takeaway or delivery, with no eat-in option available. I bought a croissant for ¥302 and a coconut meringue cookie for ¥172. The croissant was made with plenty of French butter, creating a delicious crispy layer on the outside. The top seemed to be glazed with egg. The coconut meringue cookie was sweet and had a gentle coconut flavor with a crispy texture. I enjoy trying out freshly baked pastries on the go, but next time I visit, I would like to try their cakes for takeaway during the autumn or winter season.

I visited the store around 7 pm on a regular day. This time, I bought some baked goods as a gift, but there were still plenty of cakes on display in the showcase. I was impressed because I usually think that cake shops have fewer options after 6 pm. The baked goods were also in cute boxes, making them great for gifts. I didn't ask for it specifically, but they also provided a paper bag for carrying the items, which was a nice gesture. Thank you for the lovely customer service as well.

"On a holiday, I decided to visit a popular sweet shop, Patisserie Les Annees Folles main store in Ebisu. It is located about a 6-minute walk from Ebisu Station West Exit, towards Daikanyama along Komazawa Street. The shop only offers takeout sweets, and I purchased two items: Gâteau Chocolat Classique for 680 yen including tax, and Caramel Chocolat for 626 yen including tax. Both cakes were more geared towards adults with a sophisticated flavor profile. The cakes were generously sized, with the Caramel Chocolat featuring a smooth caramel-flavored mousse and pieces of pear inside, while the Gâteau Chocolat Classique had a moist texture and a rich chocolate aroma. The shop's cakes are visually appealing and come in unique designs. They also provided three free ice packs when I requested a one-hour return trip to keep the cakes fresh. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I would definitely visit this patisserie again if it were closer to my home."

I was drawn to a cake shop that was also selected as one of the top 100 shops in 2022. I chose a seasonal peach tart that I saw on Instagram. The tart had a crispy exterior and a moist interior, with a custard cream that was not too sweet, topped with peach jam and fresh half peaches. There were also raspberries in the center for a touch of acidity. The peaches were sweet and delicious! The fresh fruit made it refreshing and perfect for summer. This cake is a must-try for peach lovers.

Access is described as the Daikanyama area, but it is located near the intersection of Ebisu Minami on Komazawa Street. Since November 2012, I have been eating here once a month without fail. Cut cakes, whole cakes, traditional pastries from various regions of France, and bread such as Maron Pie from the bakery, Croissant Ozymandias, are staples in our household. This summer, I used their gelato as a gift. Cakes made with seasonal fruits such as strawberries, peaches, Shine Muscat grapes, and La France pears sourced from farmers across the country are dynamic and delicious, with a perfect balance of dough and fillings. In addition to the classic French pastry, the cream puffs with cream, sponge cake, and cream, as well as the fruit layers, I always look forward to the new monthly creations by Chef Kikuchi, who excels in sugar artistry. I can't wait for the arrival of "Aromatic Citron," which features lemon perfectly layered with buttercream, as we head into autumn. They offer a variety of cakes, pastries, chocolates, macarons, gelato, and adorable gift boxes.

My husband's birthday celebration was extravagant! I had some business in Ebisu and decided to seize the opportunity to get a cake. I found Midori Cake through a search and was drawn to their beautiful cakes. I ended up ordering the Pistachio Griotte (the green cake I saw in the photo) and 2 slices of Gâteau Chocolat. They were amazing! The pistachio cake was not only delicious, but also beautifully presented with a berry on top that gave a hint of alcohol, creating a sophisticated taste. The chocolate cake was rich and the nuts on top provided a perfect balance without any strange bitterness. The staff member who served us was very attentive and it was clear that they put a lot of effort into their service. It was great to see young people working diligently in such a place! Thank you for the delicious cakes!

From Ebisu Station, it's about a 5-minute walk to this lovely patisserie with a busy atmosphere regardless of whether it's a weekday or weekend. This particular Sunday morning was no exception, with a constant stream of customers coming in. While their cakes are fantastic, my favorite treat to buy here is their canelé! They have a large canelé for 321 yen, and I always prefer the bigger size. The exterior has that trademark crispiness of a canelé, while the inside is incredibly soft and just melts in your mouth, especially when warmed up. Even my husband, who doesn't usually like canelé, loves these, so I think they have a universal appeal. The texture of the interior is like a pudding, so delicious. Whenever I go to Ebisu, I always end up stopping by here, and I often buy too much, so I also freeze some for later. This time, as I went in the morning, the display case was full of a variety of options, and I was particularly drawn to a jelly resembling a beer! This patisserie is so playful and fun. I had to pass on it this time as I had to walk in the heat afterward, but next time, I'll definitely try their cakes! ♡

I found the traditional souvenir "pudding" on Tabelog. After enjoying a delicious Chinese lunch, I walked 10 minutes to "Ebisu Pudding." Unfortunately, the pudding had a short shelf life and I could only buy 3. It was delicious, with a rich and smooth egg flavor. I also bought a set of 7 financiers, which were moist and ordinary. Thank you for the meal. ❤️

【Before the drinking party】I love the ice cream/gelato here, so I stopped by before the drinking party. I got the Mango Passion Single Cone for 540 yen including tax, and as always, it was delicious.
【After the drinking party】It was past 7 pm, but I checked the business hours just in case and found out that it was still open. I invited my companions and we each bought cakes as souvenirs to enjoy dessert time at home. They were all delicious, including Mont Blanc for 698 yen, Aromatic Citron for 580 yen, Ebisu Pudding for 420 yen, and Gateau Chantilly Fraises for 598 yen. The next day, my daughter and I also enjoyed some baked goods.

Canele!! I wonder what kind of canele I've been eating until now (even though I haven't had much). I should have gone for the bigger one. The balance between the crunchy and slightly burnt caramelized part on the bottom and the moist inside is amazing. I only had canele this time, but I look forward to trying other desserts next time. The heat was too much to enjoy cake this time, but next time for sure.

The last day of the 3-day weekend holiday. I arrived around 11 o'clock. There were lots of signs at the entrance advertising a sale, so I briefly thought it might be an apparel store. However, once inside, I saw that all the sweets looked delicious! I planned to eat it right away as a takeaway, so I chose the Choux à la Crème without hesitation. It was on sale, so I bought it for 293 yen, which was cheaper than the displayed price. I ate it in the nearby park, and it was incredibly sweet and delicious! I feel envious of the people who work around here. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come again soon. ^ ^

Yesterday, I visited the "Patisserie Le Bazaneufor Evisu-Honten" in Daikanyama that I was interested in from a follower's post. It was very delicious as recommended by someone and the birthday surprise was a great success (lol). Thank you very much ^^ Looking for friends for a quick lunch, cafe, and dinner around Ebisu... and also looking for ramen friends and fishing buddies (lol).

Blancmange Berry 540 yen
Located near Ebisu station, this bakery is well known for its Souffle Chocolat, but their cakes are also beautifully presented. Despite the long opening hours, I was surprised to find the cakes well stocked even towards closing time. I wanted to buy a cream cake, but due to the scorching heat I opted for a cup sweet instead.
Blancmange Kiwi
Blancmange Berry
The Blancmange melts in your mouth with a strong almond fragrance. The jelly has a nice, bouncy texture with a hint of fruit juice. Even mixing them together as you eat is delicious. There are many cakes with purple accents, giving off a sophisticated and luxurious vibe. Their baked goods are also delicious, making this a must-visit when in the Ebisu area.
