"Ocean Casita" is a restaurant located on the high floors of Sunshine 60 in Ikebukuro, where you can enjoy a fantastic view of Tokyo at night. Here, a chef trained in Italy uses his skills to create dishes centered around fresh seafood. The dishes are simple yet delicious, with the simplicity enhancing the flavors even more. You can also enjoy the taste of the ingredients by pairing them with selected wines. This restaurant offers a combination of gentleness and strength in the flavors of the ingredients.

I used the Sky Beer Hall plan. It is a 90-minute all-you-can-drink plan with 7 appetizers and pasta as the main dish. The carpaccio, sausages, and fried potatoes are perfect appetizers for beer and wine. I really enjoyed the delicious Capellini pasta. Beer halls are always lively and noisy, but here I was able to enjoy my drink calmly while looking at the night view. It is a rare space in the Ikebukuro area and highly recommended.

During a break from work, I had lunch with my boss and subordinate at an Italian restaurant on the 59th floor of Sunshine City. The restaurant offers a great view and a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying some high-quality Italian cuisine. We were there to treat my subordinate, who had just finished a difficult task. We made a reservation a week in advance and arrived on a Thursday at noon. The restaurant was not too crowded, and despite the cloudy weather, the ambiance was pleasant. We opted for the prefixed lunch course, which included a salad, a choice of pasta, a dessert, and a choice of main dish. I chose the Ligurian-style Genovese pasta and the grilled Hokkaido abalone as my main dish. The pasta was delicious, with a basil sauce and olive oil coating the vegetables nicely. The abalone was tender and tasty, although it was not as filling as the steak that my boss and subordinate ordered. Overall, the lunch was satisfying, and the restaurant is perfect for a quick business lunch, with a duration of about 40-50 minutes. I look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you for the meal.

I don't want to revisit this restaurant. I have never encountered a restaurant that serves food without considering the table situation before. Specifically, salad was served and still not finished, but pizza and grilled dishes were brought out first, stacking plates on the table. It was so bad that I had to call the manager and verbally address the issue. After looking at the table, I instructed them to coordinate with the kitchen, and things calmed down. We just stopped by with our kids, so it's okay for us, but the negative impression in such a restaurant, where many couples also dine due to the atmosphere and location, is quite a problem. If they improve the service aspect, the restaurant could be rated fairly well considering the taste, price, and other factors. Keep up the good work. Thank you for the meal.

An Italian restaurant on the 59th floor of Sunshine 60. The night view is beautiful and the atmosphere is great, making it perfect for a date! It's not too formal, so it can be used for various occasions. The food is delicious, and the meat dishes are quite generous - we couldn't finish them all between two people. The lunch menu also looks tasty, so I'd like to go again! Thank you for the meal!

I had the Holiday Course for lunch. The portion size was just right for this course. The price was around 5000 yen, including the minimum course fee and 2 drinks. I stayed for a little over an hour. The spaghetti aglio e olio had a generous amount of olive oil, so those who are not fond of oil may want to avoid it. I was seated by a window overlooking the north side, so I could enjoy the view. I arrived before noon, but by around 12:30, the restaurant was full.

I used it for a weekend lunch. When I requested a window seat at the time of reservation, they said they do not take table location reservations. When I actually visited, luckily a window seat was available and I was able to use it. The weekend lunch salad consisted of sunny lettuce with a little bit of potato salad. The dressing is delicious, but it doesn't really elevate the mood as an amuse-bouche for the price. The Bolognese was hot and had a rich broth, making it flavorful and delicious. The chicken was mediocre in terms of both the ingredient and the cooking. The lemon cream sauce served with the chicken had a nice acidity and was delicious. The companion's beef was average in taste and freshness. The dessert and coffee were refreshing and quite delicious. The service was good. They poured water at just the right timing and their approach was gentle. At 2,880 yen, the value for money is debatable. I think it would be a nice change of mood if you have a window seat.

On a regular weekday, the prefix lunch comes with free soft drink and soup. Today's salad was a unique pumpkin peperoncino, which was more like a creamy peperoncino. I chose the fresh fish salad as my main and it was enough for a woman in her 50s to finish. The view from the window seat is nice, so I recommend making a reservation. From my seat, I could see the northern direction (towards Saitama). The spacing between seats is good, so you can relax. It's a bit of a walk from the station, and I got lost trying to find the elevator inside. It's not a 10-minute walk from the station.

Outlook is great!! I visited for lunch. I have been here before, but it's been a while since I last visited due to COVID. The food has become even more delicious!! I had the lunch course. It's great that you can choose pasta and a main dish. The staff were very kind and I had a very satisfying lunch.

Italian seafood restaurant on the 59th floor of Sunshine 60. My mother treated us to a meal here for my daughter's birthday celebration. We booked the Grilled Seafood Plan Ocean Grill Mix (5940 yen x 3) and Dessert Plate (3300 yen for 3 people) through ikkyu.com. We took the elevator to the Sky Restaurant floor at Sunshine, which has a planetarium-like feel, adding to the excitement. We arrived around 6:30 pm, and as it got darker, we could enjoy the beautiful night view. We were seated at a table by the window, although it was a bit far from the window itself. The small windows in the old Sunshine building were a bit disappointing. We toasted with Master's Dream and Malt beers, followed by ordering a bottle of sparkling wine (drinks were not included in the course). The course consisted of dishes served as they were ready, which was convenient for us. The pasta was served in recommended portions, and although we couldn't adjust the amount later on, it was fine as we could share among ourselves. The table was quite large, so we had to stand up each time we reached for a dish. The course included a lot of vegetables and carbs, such as pizza, pasta, and fries. The Ocean Grill Mix, which we had requested for the birthday celebration, was served after the pasta and pizza, with a substantial amount. The dessert plate with a birthday message was also quite generous. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. However, the course was more suitable for younger people, and the portion size was overwhelming for the three of us. It was explicitly stated that leftovers were not allowed, but we wished we could have taken some of the pizza home. It would have been better if there were lighter course options available through ikkyu. We left the restaurant feeling extremely full and took a purikura photo before heading home. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I made a reservation for 11:45 and visited the restaurant. The view and luxurious atmosphere were truly amazing and appetizing! I ordered the course menu and a kids menu. The salad dressing was so delicious, I wish they sold it! The pasta was especially tasty, I wanted to order a large portion. The main dish could have been a bit better. The steak was cooked medium rare, but personally, I think it would have been better if it was cut in half and served as two pieces. The level of service was high and I felt comfortable dining at this restaurant.

I found out about this restaurant through the Ikkyu website. Since it was a sunny February in Tokyo, my friends and I wanted to have lunch in a place with a good view. We made a reservation for the lunch course and visited the restaurant. We took the elevator to the 59th floor of Sunshine City and arrived at a spacious restaurant with a beautiful view and comfortable seating. The staff greeted us warmly from both the kitchen and the dining area. The lunch course allowed us to choose a salad, a main course (grilled chicken thigh with Chiba red sweet potato puree), and a pasta dish (extra creamy sea urchin spaghetti for an additional fee). The lunch included a drink bar and a delicious soup made with fish bones and vegetables. The pasta with fresh sea urchin in a rich cream sauce was amazing, and the grilled chicken thigh with red sweet potato puree was also delicious. The dessert, mango panna cotta, was a perfect ending to the meal. Overall, the experience was delightful, and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant and had a great time there. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

You can enjoy a generous portion of delicious Italian food for around 5,000 yen per person. It is recommended to make a reservation through the official website. You can inform them in advance about special occasions like anniversaries, dietary restrictions, etc. Even though I made a same-day reservation, they managed to secure a seat by the window with a beautiful night view, for which I am grateful. Due to my oversight, I didn't realize that the closing time was 9 pm instead of 10 pm, so my visit was shorter than expected. It was a bit difficult to confirm this information beforehand on the official website, but the staff were apologetic and it didn't ruin my experience. I hope to visit again with more time to spare.

When I come to Ikebukuro, I usually go to the surprising Donkey, which is rare in the city center, but this time I wanted to eat something a little more proper, so I went to this restaurant. I had been here before, so I made a reservation for a window seat by calling in the morning. It would be a waste not to sit by the window here. For first-timers, I highly recommend making a reservation. Now, about the prefix course, I was beyond satisfied and thought my stomach would burst with laughter. The pasta, which is rare in these kinds of restaurants, was a full serving included in the course. I was already quite satisfied with just the pasta. When the main course arrived, I was so full that I didn't even need water when it was time for dessert. I went with a young man, but even a young man with a big appetite said "I'm in pain, I'm in pain" on the way back, laughing. I added a few extras, so even though the course is normally 2000 yen per person, the bill came close to 8000 yen for two people, but I was so satisfied that I didn't mind. Especially the additional 1700 yen for the beef steak was delicious, with a crispy surface, truffle aroma, and balsamic sauce, so I highly recommend it. Just be careful because the portion of meat is no joke, haha.

The Italian restaurant with a stunning view. It seems to specialize in seafood dishes. The concept is "a luxurious restaurant that can be used in daily life." I'm not sure if it's a luxurious restaurant, but it seems like a good place for various occasions, so I think it's a good restaurant for daily use. The restaurant is operated by the same company as Kashita, located in Omotesando and Ginza. The location is about a 10-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station East Exit. It is located on the 59th floor of Ikebukuro Sunshine City. To get to the 59th floor, use the private elevator to the Sky Restaurant from the 1st basement floor. This elevator is called the "Shining Elevator," and as soon as it starts moving, the lights dim and constellations are projected, creating a lovely mini planetarium experience. In front of the restaurant is a "plaza" free space with chairs, making it very convenient for meeting before entering. The entire restaurant has large windows, allowing you to enjoy the view from 220m above ground. The dining area is quite spacious with 100 seats, but movable partitions are used to create a semi-private atmosphere, making it very comfortable without being bothered by others. In the middle of the floor, there is a table with complimentary soft drinks, where you can pour your desired drink from the pot into a glass or cup and use tongs to get ice. This was a bit concerning in terms of infection prevention. Today, I reserved a lunch with a soft drink bar included through Ichijiku. The course includes "Salad + Pasta + Main + Dessert" for 2,200 yen (tax included). == Lunch Course == ◆ [Salad] A simple salad with leafy greens, croutons, and cheese dressing. It would look more delicious if the presentation was more careful, but it's a bit disappointing. ◆ [Pasta] Choose from 4 options for the prefix. I selected "Shrimp Tomato Arrabbiata Penne with Mustard Greens Flavor." The short pasta is cooked al dente, and the sauce is delicious. ◆ [Main] Choose from 5 options. I selected "Sautéed Fresh Fish with Nori Flavored Bechamel Sauce." Considering the price, it's neither good nor bad. Served with sautéed spinach. ◆ [Dessert] Mini strawberry panna cotta. == Drink == In addition to the course, I ordered a Peroni. It was a lunch with a friend I rarely see, so it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy the drinks.

I used the course menu, but before I could finish eating all the dishes, they kept coming one after another as soon as I touched them, which surprised me. When I asked for them to be served a little slower so they wouldn't get cold, I was told in a somewhat angry tone that that was the way they served them. The appetizers were okay, the pasta and pizza were delicious, but the meat was really dry and not tasty at all. The atmosphere is really nice, so it's very disappointing.

I enjoyed a stylish lunch at Ocean Casita on the 59th floor of Sunshine City. I ordered the lunch course which included a salad with prosciutto, sautéed silver cod, and creamy sea urchin pasta. As I am currently preventing overeating, alcohol was allowed for up to 2 people. I ordered a Singha beer from Thailand. Soft drinks were all-you-can-drink, with a drink bar offering coffee and several other drinks. Soup was also all-you-can-drink, and on that day it was a bacon, potato, and onion soup. The sea urchin cream pasta was not too heavy and had an elegant taste. There was surprisingly a lot of sea urchin in it, which made me happy. The view and atmosphere were just amazing! I think it would be even better at night.

This is a review of a lunch experience at a restaurant where I visited in response to my parents' request to have Italian food. The restaurant has a modern and sophisticated atmosphere, suitable for dates or special occasions. It is located on the 59th floor of Ikebukuro Sunshine, offering a stunning view from the window seats. For lunch, there are three course options, and since my elderly parents couldn't finish a full course, we opted for the business lunch which included a main dish, appetizer, and dessert. The main dish selection included pasta, meat, and fish, with 8 options available, 5 of which required an additional fee for special items. I chose the most expensive one with an additional 1,000 yen for the "Spaghetti with Rich Cream Sauce and Fresh Sea Urchin", which was absolutely delicious even without the sea urchin. The appetizer was a salad with romaine lettuce topped with Italian salami and Cobb dressing. Both the appetizer and pasta were generous in portion size, and the meal ended with a mini strawberry panna cotta, leaving us fully satisfied. Soft drinks were refillable, and the staff provided a calm and relaxed dining experience. My parents were pleased, and I was able to uphold my reputation as a good son. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

When it comes to finding a nice restaurant in Ikebukuro, it's already difficult, but when it's for a date, it becomes even more challenging. And if your date is a picky eater, it can feel almost impossible. However, the one shining light in this situation was Ocean Casita. The atmosphere and service were great, and you could order à la carte with decent quality. It's pretty rare in Ikebukuro. However, they have undergone about 1.5 renovations in the past year, which some reviewers felt was a downgrade even though they were paying for good food. Despite this, with the worries brought on by the pandemic, I felt like visiting again after a long time. In conclusion, there were some points that concerned me compared to before the renovations. But in a way, their high-quality taste may be drifting away from what Ikebukuro usually offers, and I can't really interfere with their management. When I had an honest conversation with the staff, I received some positive words that made me look forward to my next visit. I had assumed that being a company-owned restaurant would mean they couldn't be flexible, but I reconsidered that. It seems like they are trying various things in a challenging situation, and what I can do is to appreciate the efforts of the restaurant as the top (or only?) foodie in Ikebukuro.
