Once a year check-up day. As usual, let's grab a bite at an outside shop while waiting. I took the afternoon off, no break time, so I want to have lunch. I feel like having Japanese food. However, even though it's a weekday in the 2 o'clock hour, the restaurant I had in mind has a line. Truly Omotesando. Well, it's over budget, but I'll drop by Yama Warau, which I just passed. I once guided two elderly British women to this restaurant. I had lunch at a different place, but they enjoyed the sukiyaki they had, and were delighted. At that time, I didn't have the budget to try it myself, but today I don't have the time, so I went to a familiar restaurant. I ordered the Yamagata black beef rib roast and Yonezawa pork shabu-shabu. The contents were Yamagata black beef rib roast 40g + Yonezawa pork loin 80g with a side of vegetables, rice, pickles, and dessert for a total of 2,310 yen including tax. I checked the hospital's website. The number of people waiting had decreased by about half, but there still seemed to be a wait. I chose multigrain rice. Pickles and tea were self-service. The vegetables arrived. Since the water wasn't boiling, I asked a staff member, who raised the temperature. I haphazardly put in the tough parts of the Chinese cabbage and radish, things that seemed difficult to cook. The meat arrived - wow! This is a wonderful marbled meat! However, only the first piece (sad). Well, what can you do! A poor person can't spend a lot of money on a weekday lunch. So, I'll start by shabu-shabu-ing the pork. Hmm, because it's pork, I shabu-shabu-ed it until it turned white, but it was the normal meat toughness? Since it's good meat, maybe it's okay if there are some red parts, I raised it earlier, but the quality and flavor of the meat didn't change. I checked the hospital's website again. What? The waiting number is now zero... It's been a while since I came on a weekday, but it seems to be empty after all. I need to eat faster. Then I tried the sesame sauce, which had a spicy flavor, so I had it all with ponzu. I finished the pork, and now it's time for the last black beef. Hmm, this is it! It's so tender, it melts in your mouth in no time. This is the true delight of "meat". Happiness ended with just one piece (1.5 pieces because it was torn)... As instructed by the staff, I tried the soup from the shabu-shabu pot. I drank it with sesame sauce at first, but it was actually better as it was. As I was getting ready to leave, the staff brought dessert. There was dessert (lol). I didn't check the menu closely. Well, please. Yuzu sherbet appeared. Delicious. The yuzu flavor is good, and the texture is nice. It's a shame that there was no excitement with the pork and vegetables. At this restaurant, you should definitely try the black beef. Of course, for those with money, please try the Matsusaka beef.
