It's a convenient place for lunch as well. Although there are many guests in black suits for funerals, regular customers can also enjoy a meal casually. Today, there was a private reservation for a funeral, so we had soba in the cafe area. The cold soba with aromatic toppings was 980 yen, and the set with soba and a mini rice bowl (roast beef) was 1300 yen, both at a reasonable price. The amount of soba was generous, and the soba noodles were thin and firm, making it easy to eat. The toppings for the aromatic soba (dried shrimp, green onions, tempura shiso leaves) can be placed on top of the soba or mixed in the dipping sauce. The roast beef in the mini rice bowl was small but had five slices, and we were satisfied. After the meal, we had a snow-viewing ice cream for 400 yen, which was refreshing with the acidity of the berry sauce. Thank you for the meal.

Duck soba for 900 yen, salmon rice for 210 yen, total 1110 yen. If you are a member of the Tsukiji Honganji Club, you will receive a 5% discount. It looked like rain, so I decided to stay close by and went to the popular Murasui restaurant! The broth here is truly amazing! So delicious! ^_^

I had the "Kinshu Goshiki" course meal. The main dish was Saikyo grilled flounder. It was still hot, but the autumn colors were soothing. Each dish was in just the right amount, so it might be a bit lacking for those who eat a lot, but it's perfect for women.

I planned to have a solo lunch and stroll around, but the heat was too much, so I sought refuge in a building. I first ordered a tempura bowl for 1500 yen, which was delicious as always. After stepping outside again, I suddenly craved something sweet, so I went back inside and enjoyed a red bean soup and roasted green tea set for 760 yen. Feeling a bit stressed out...

The COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet, but with the revival of inbound tourism, Tsukiji is very crowded. It's quite difficult to find a restaurant or café that isn't busy. In the midst of this, our shop located within the precincts of Tsukiji Honganji Temple is relatively quiet and reasonably priced, making it a great place to visit. Today, I had anmitsu (served with roasted green tea) and dorayaki (served with matcha). The anmitsu came with two round ice cream balls wrapped in gyuhi, and it was deliciously cold. The dorayaki had cream inside, making it a type of "nama-dora." I was able to relax and cool down slowly.

We had a 6600 yen vegan meal for lunch with overseas guests (reservation required). The concept of using only plant-based ingredients, without meat or fish, was very well received, similar to the philosophy of veganism. Each dish was carefully prepared, and we were satisfied both visually and in terms of taste. The dishes served in red lacquered bowls added a perfect touch to the hospitality.

I would have never gone there alone, but I went along this time because I was invited. I couldn't decide what to eat, but I ended up ordering the tempura soba. It was delicious and more affordable than I expected. I'm curious about the limited 10 servings curry next time. Thank you for the meal.

After the Tsukiji Rakugo event ended, I felt a little thirsty, so I headed back to Tsukiji Honganji Temple. Our shop is located on the first floor of the Daiichi Dendo Kaikan next to Tsukiji Honganji Temple West Exit, it's a Tea Lounge called Nihon Ryori Shisui. Right by the entrance of Daiichi Dendo Kaikan, on the right side, you'll find a simple table arrangement cafe called Tea Lounge, and further inside, you'll find Nihon Ryori Shisui. I ordered the Anmitsu + Houjicha Set (760 yen tax included). "Do you have Cream Anmitsu?" I asked. The staff replied, "We don't have Cream Anmitsu, but it comes with ice cream." When the Anmitsu arrived, I was wondering where the ice cream was placed. But when I took a bite of the big white and pink lump, I realized it was actually a Yukimi Daifuku (ice cream wrapped in mochi). That was unexpected! (≧∀≦)

I visited "Shisui" in the precincts of Tsukiji Honganji Temple after a long time. I had the daily business lunch special "Ankake Oyakodon" for ¥900 today. It had plenty of thickened egg sauce over grilled chicken thigh meat. It also came with a half-cooked egg on top, which was a nice touch. Considering that it includes coffee after the meal, it might be a reasonable price.

Today I went to Tsukiji Honganji Temple for the first time. The main hall, which stands out, is amazing. In line with the times, the inner sanctuary of the main hall is apparently live-streamed on YouTube. This is likely done to accommodate those who cannot visit in person. I will chant the sutras of Jodo Shinshu and enjoy shojin ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) here on the premises. The quality is high, as it is not made by practicing monks but by chefs. It is worth trying at least once.

On June 28, 2020 (Sunday) at 12:36 (from the receipt), I visited Tsukiji Honganji Temple for revenge from two years ago and came to this restaurant. (Revisited from previous review) Ordered "Murasui Gozen" for 2850 yen, which included crispy tempura (shrimp, sweet potato, eggplant, shishito pepper), fresh sashimi, chawanmushi, himeskin, pickles, fruits, nori miso soup, and a drink. Also had the "Mini Nisshoku Don Set" for 1160 yen, which was a tuna and salmon roe rice bowl. The soba was to my liking with its whole grain texture. The portion of the mini donburi set was surprisingly generous, allowing us to share and enjoy a variety of ingredients. Happy dining experience with my spouse.

Having soba at Tsukiji Honganji Temple♪ While sightseeing in Tokyo, I walked and played Pokémon GO until I arrived. Usually, I visit shrines, but sometimes I visit temples too~ This temple is famous, often seen in celebrity funerals. I never expected to find a connection between "chocolate" and "Namu Amida Butsu" on the card I received at the entrance of the Chocolate Main Hall. I admire their creativity. During a sermon about an important day related to an old respected monk, I rested my tired feet and listened attentively. The speaker had a pleasant voice. I had noticed a red table with a woolen cloth on the side of the Main Hall, which I assumed was a dining area. It turned out to be "Japanese Cuisine Murasui." I was delighted to receive a hot towel upon entering. I always feel grateful for being able to eat every day. Choosing from the menu brought me joy. It's a blessing to be born in a good era and place. The Ebi Oroshi Soba was served with cold soba and warm dipping sauce, a unique style. The piping hot tempura was a great addition. I heard they use Mino ware. The soba broth was comforting.

I took a day off on a not-so-cold weekday. I decided to go to Ginza Jazz Country and before that, I decided to have a meal. I chose to go to Shisui, where I had been at night before. I entered the restaurant just before noon. It was quite crowded but I was seated right away. I ordered the Tsukiji set meal (1,850 yen including tax). It included yellowtail and tuna sashimi, grilled dishes (rolled omelette, kelp, duck meat, grilled fish - salmon I think), simmered dishes (snow peas, wheat gluten, taro), tempura, rice, miso soup, and dessert (kiwi, orange, and a fancy mousse with sauce inside). Everything was delicious. They provided hot towels as a service. They refilled my tea without me having to ask. I was satisfied with both the food and the service. It's a bit far from where I live, so I can't go often, but I would like to visit occasionally.

The name of the restaurant seems to be derived from "Sanshu Suimei" (mountains, purple water, clear sky). I read a comic featuring a temple based on Tsukiji Honganji Temple called "Tsuki wo Sasu Yubi" by Eifuku Kazunari and Nojou Junichi. In it, a restaurant appears. I searched to see if it really exists, and found this "Shisui" restaurant. The website shows delicious dishes like sashimi and Edomae sushi, making me want to try them. The restaurant is open from 11:30 to 14:00, while the tea lounge is open from 8:00 to 19:00. I arrived at Tsukiji Honganji Temple around 6 pm, with a beautiful view of the crescent moon in the distance. The restaurant was closed, but the tea lounge was open. There was only one female customer, and the TV was on but I wasn't interested in the content. I ordered the "Monzen Seiro Soba" (tax included 700 yen), which was simple but quite delicious. They provided a hand towel and water from the start. I hope to revisit at a time when I can try the Edomae sushi.

I was surprised! It's different from the trendy fluffy shaved ice! It has a mysteriously smooth texture. At first glance, I thought it was just a regular trendy shaved ice, but it turned out to be a soft, creamy treat that felt like ice cream. The lingering, gooey sensation in the mouth is also refreshing. When I asked the staff what it was, they said it's milk that has been frozen and then shaved into a fluffy texture. It's really something to think about. It was a delight to find chunks of mango in it for only five hundred yen. I had it at the Tea Lounge near the entrance, but I heard you can also get it at the Japanese restaurant in the back.

Adult Holiday Club 2018/12 vol.3 [Tsukiji Area Edition] I stopped by Tsukiji Honganji Temple, located close to Tsukiji Outer Market. It's designated as an important cultural property. I came here without any prior knowledge, and the appearance was a bit different from my image of a temple. It has a unique atmosphere, with doors decorated with stained glass. In the main hall, there was a wedding preparation going on. A red carpet was laid out, and red candles were prepared. I felt hesitant to take photos, but when I asked the staff, they kindly said, "Please, feel free to take photos up close." They were very gentlemanly and treated each worshipper with great respect. I had matcha tea at the tea lounge in the Evangelical Hall before leaving! I chose the set with manju (500 yen) for a perfect break! I made sure to return on time for the meeting! Thank you for the delicious treat.

Walking around the Tsukiji-Ginza area. I visited Tsukiji Honganji Temple after a long time. I saw a tea lounge sign at the entrance of the Missionary Hall and decided to take a break there. I ordered a Japanese sweets set, which included matcha and Tsuruya Yoshinobu's yokan. I enjoyed it in a relaxed atmosphere. A monk who came later ordered curry rice and it looked delicious, but since today is a day for trying different foods, I resisted the temptation. Next time I visit Tsukiji Honganji Temple, I plan to try the cafe. Thank you for the meal.

On a scorching hot day, when I visited Tsukiji Honganji Temple, the legendary Pokemon GO monster, Lugia, seemed to be appearing in the precincts, attracting a large crowd of people staring at their smartphones. I passed through the crowd and headed to a shop in the back. Surprisingly, despite being located in the popular Tsukiji Honganji Temple, the shop was not crowded and offered delicious dishes at reasonable prices. I ordered a set of steamed soba and negitoro bowl for only 830 yen. Often, shops in tourist spots or famous facilities tend to charge about 20% more, but this place was very reasonable. The soba seemed to be ground with the shells intact, giving it a strong aroma. The negitoro bowl was also delicious, with moist negitoro blending well with not overly salty soy sauce. The staff's attention to detail was impressive, as they not only served hot tea but also brought cold water, showing their desire for customers to have a pleasant experience. This place is great.

Today is scorching hot, so I decided to stay close by. Business lunch for 900 yen and lunch coffee for 300 yen.

Feeling under the weather, I had lunch alone at Muramizu once again. I opted for the 900 yen business lunch set. It was quite good! Delicious.
