Hisago @ Asakusabashi Ichome I was saved by the refreshing cold homemade noodles, the soba and udon, with a sharp taste. The under-the-bridge atmosphere was wonderful, and I visited in a dizzying mood to enjoy the excellent broth and soba. I love the cold grated daikon soba, it's just amazing. The well-cooked aburaage is delicious, and when combined with grated daikon and flavorful broth, it becomes the ultimate item to overcome the scorching heat. Ah, it was delicious! I heard that the tofu shop that makes this delicious aburaage is closing down. I'm really worried about what will happen to Hisago's kitsune soba.

After the weekly neighborhood cleanup, I went to Hisago under the Asakusabashi Station to get some energy from Hacchan, the noodle poet and owner. The weather was pleasant, so I chose warm tempura soba. The tempura, which seemed like it could be sung about by Carlos Toshiki & Omega Tribe, was lively this morning as well. Hacchan mentioned that the local shopping street was closed yesterday for a nearby elementary school's sports day, and then casually asked what the next neighborhood association event would be. #EarlyMorningHisagoClub #NoodleLover #SobaForBreakfast

After participating in the weekly neighborhood clean-up, I headed to Hisago under the Asakusabashi Station to get some energy from Hacchan, also known as the noodle poet and the owner. Due to the dangerous heat in the morning, I decided to go with the cold tempura soba. The soba, chilled with ice sourced from Tsukiji, was topped with tempura that was so fresh and crispy it made me want to burst out singing like Koji Kikkawa. Hacchan mentioned that the reason Kim Jong-un's train is unnecessarily long is to avoid being shot, appealing to the international press. #EarlyMorningHisagoClub #NoodleFirst #SobaForBreakfast

This is a standing soba shop near JR Asakusabashi Station East Exit! There are a lot of posters on the wall, making it a bit intimidating to enter, but since there was only one customer inside, I decided to give it a try. It seems like a mother is running the shop alone. The menu posted on the wall showed that the prices were incredibly cheap! I was surprised by how much cheaper it was than I expected, so I also ordered some chikuwa. They also have cold soba, but it's not served in a traditional way, it's more like a bukkake style. While waiting for my order, I helped myself to some lemon water, which was quite refreshing. Since it's a standing soba shop, the food was served quickly. The soba had a nice balance of flavors, despite its dark appearance. The tempura, although cheap, was surprisingly good and quite filling. The chikuwa was also generous in portion. It may not be the most amazing soba, but considering the quality at such a low price, it's quite impressive. I don't know how long they will be open, but next time I go, I might try the cold soba with grated daikon radish or seaweed.

Cold tempura soba (390): After the weekly neighborhood clean-up, I went to Hisago under the Asakusabashi Station to get some energy from Hacchan, the poet of noodle shops. To my surprise, the place was packed with a line of four people waiting outside. Due to the dangerous heat in the morning, I decided to go with the cold tempura soba. The tempura, which seemed like it could make Carlos Toshiki & Omega Tribe sing at 1000% volume, was as delicious as ever this morning. Hacchan was busy boiling the soba, so there was no time for chit-chat. #EarlyMorningHisagoClub #NoodleShopFirst #SobaForBreakfast

Tempura soba (380) Due to rain, the weekly neighborhood cleanup at the beginning of the week was canceled. I went to Hisago under the Asakusabashi Station to get some energy from Hacchan, the owner and poet of noodles, one of the Four Noodle Kings. The warm tempura soba was perfect for the cool temperature brought by the rain. The tempura, which seemed like it could make Yoji Anjo and Hickson Gracie bark "200% Koromo," was as delicious as ever this morning. Hacchan mentioned that the scallops he sourced from Iwate were delicious, and then jokingly asked a customer who was a Tigers fan what he would do if the Hanshin Tigers won. The customer, a Giants fan, immediately turned the question around and asked what Hisago would do if the Giants won. Hacchan confidently replied, "I won't do anything!" #EarlyMorningHisagoClub #NoodlesFirst #SobaForBreakfast

After the weekly neighborhood clean-up, I went to Hisago under the Asakusabashi Station to get some energy from Hacchan, the owner and poet of noodles. Due to the dangerous heat, I decided to have chilled Oroshi Soba. It was the most refreshing soba I've had this summer, and my body temperature dropped by about 2 degrees. Hacchan was busy with work, so there was no small talk this morning. #EarlyMorningHisagoClub #NoodlesFirst #SobaForBreakfast

As the appointment time is approaching, today I ordered tenpura soba with a rich and delicious broth at Hisago in Asakusabashi. The soba noodles were slightly thicker and very tasty. The refreshing lemon-infused cold water was also a nice touch. I enjoyed the meal and drinks. Thank you for the feast. I will definitely come back.

Today's lunch was cold egg soba at Asakusabashi Hisago for 390 yen. The cold pitch-black broth, cold egg, and soba instantly cooled me down from the inside. It gave me the energy to keep going in the afternoon.

An elderly couple working hard at the restaurant, chatting with customers while never stopping their hands. The dark and sweet broth, the slightly chewy homemade noodles, the fluffy tempura, all suit them perfectly. They are like cultural treasures. By the way, the tempura soba costs 380 yen. So cheap! Even the Yume Group would be surprised.

I went to Hisago to get some energy from the owner Hacchan, also known as the poet of noodle shops, after the Bon holiday. Due to the dangerous heat in the morning, I chose the cold tempura soba. The tempura, which made me feel like singing along with Carlos Toshiki & Omega Tribe's "Koromo 1000%," was as lively as ever this morning. Hacchan said he slept for a year during the Bon holiday and was full of energy! We talked about last weekend's festival at Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine and the Okami House in Nishi-Asakusa. #EarlyMorningHisagoClub #NoodleFirst #SobaForBreakfast

Tempura soba (380) After starting the week with radio exercises and neighborhood cleaning, I went to Hisago under the Asakusabashi Station to get some energy from Hacchan, the poet of noodle roads and the owner. It was dangerously hot, so I opted for cold tempura soba. The tempura, which looked like it could make Yasuo Yoji bark that Rikishi Ryogoku is 200% KROMO, was as sharp as ever this morning. The broth was especially good today. Hacchan shared his freshly acquired knowledge from the radio about the bribery scandal involving Congressman Akimoto, joking that he probably poured the bribes into racehorses. #EarlyMorningHisagoClub #NoodleRoadFirst #SobaForBreakfast

Today's lunch was at a standing soba restaurant called Hisago. I had the tempura soba for 380 yen. It was a true standing soba experience with a comforting taste. The broth was rich, but I ended up finishing it all. This place is definitely a trustworthy standing soba restaurant.

Today's lunch was cold Oroshi Soba at Hisago for 400 yen! The soy sauce broth was quite dark, but smooth and delicious, and I could drink it all the way to the end. It's a traditional standing soba shop that is delicious, affordable, and a friend of the common people.

This week, I aimed to visit "Iwamoto Q" which is closing down after one last drink in the early morning in Kabukicho! However, unexpectedly, it was closed! I changed my plans and headed to Asakusabashi to comfort myself with a drink at "Hisago"! The homemade chewy udon noodles, fluffy tempura, and flavorful dark soup were still amazing as always! So delicious!

Due to the dangerous heat in the morning, I chose the cold tempura soba. The tempura, which seemed like it could make the members of Hikaru GENJI break into song, was as delicious as ever this morning. Hacchan was impressed with how a Swiss rapper hyped up the crowd and dove three meters down into the audience at a concert, but no one caught him and he crashed onto the floor. "He's lucky to still be alive," Hacchan remarked. #EarlyMorningHisagoClub #NoodlesFirst #SobaForBreakfast
