I went to Kanda's Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki restaurant, HIDEbo Kanda store, to have some okonomiyaki. On this day, when I went to a soba restaurant in Awajicho, they surprisingly didn't serve it. This kind of thing happens often, right? So, I switched gears and walked a bit to the HIDEbo in Kanda that I had been curious about. Kanda seems to have several Hiroshima okonomiyaki restaurants, making it a competitive area. Sometimes you just crave it, right? It was a weekday night, but when I arrived at the restaurant, it was almost full. I managed to slip in just in time. Phew, that was close. Orders are placed using a touch panel, which is convenient! But be careful not to over-order. I ordered the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, Kanda Special, Champon with cheese toppings, Chicken and Tomato Gratin-style okonomiyaki, Grilled buttered squid, and Hiroshima vegetables. First, the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. The Kanda Special is loaded with ingredients like squid tempura, squid, shrimp, squid, green onions, and a sunny-side-up egg. Champon is a mix of soba and udon noodles, which I love. The dishes are all prepared by the restaurant staff. Thank goodness! The okonomiyaki is luxurious, with a good balance of ingredients and delicious flavors. It has plenty of cabbage and a hint of sweetness. Add cheese to it, and it's heavenly. Hiroshima vegetables are a must when visiting a Hiroshima restaurant. They are incredibly delicious. The grilled buttered squid is also really tasty. No doubt about it. But the champion is the Chicken and Tomato Gratin-style okonomiyaki. It is incredibly delicious. A must-order item. It was really satisfying to have okonomiyaki after a long time. The smell of the Okonomiyaki sauce from Otafuku is just sinful.
