Located 7 minutes from Naka-Meguro Station, is Kakaoette Paris. Food review rating: 3.76 stars. I received a KUMO ticket from the Mandarin Oriental gourmet shop at 9:30, and since there was time before visiting Okashiya Ucchi-san, who opens at 12:00, I decided to stop by here. I walked while enjoying the cherry blossoms along the Meguro River, and arrived in about 10 minutes. According to Google, the shop was supposed to open at 11:00, but it was already open earlier (around 10:00 maybe?). Surprisingly, there were no other customers around 10:45. There are 3 seats for dining outside the shop, which can be a bit awkward if there is a line, but this time it was empty so I ordered a petit gateau and an iced coffee here!
- Pavlova Pistachio: ¥630 + tax
Pavlova is a cake originating from Australia and New Zealand, with meringue as the base. This one had a melty pistachio mousse with a crispy meringue texture contrast. The jammy berry gelee added a nice accent. Coconut surrounded the cake. It was a bit difficult to eat due to its crispiness, but it was delicious!
I bought chocolate as a gift for my wife, so I only have a photo of it. I initially thought that Kakaoette Paris, with its name, would be a chocolatier specializing in solid chocolates, but upon checking their website, it says "bakery with a squirrel logo". Seems like the shop specializes in cakes using chocolate as the main ingredient. The petit gateau was delicious, and other items in the showcase looked tempting, so I will definitely be revisiting! It seems like a good area to visit along with L'Atelier Motozo in Ikejiri-Ohashi and Criollo in Naka-Meguro, making it a great spot for those who love sweets.

I used this place for my child's birthday cake. Shortcake is definitely high quality. There is also a store in Musashikoyama, so it's convenient. Ebisu and Nakameguro are sweet heaven, so it's good to find a favorite store and go there.

I visited the shop on Saturday afternoon. There was a small counter outside where I could enjoy the cake I purchased right there. The cakes had vibrant colors and unique shapes that made them almost too beautiful to eat! I ordered the cake that was featured on TV. The outer cream seemed to contain pistachios, adding a delightful accent to the sweetness. It was delicious! Thank you very much!

The sweetness was a bit too strong for my liking. Even though I do enjoy cakes with a strong sweetness at some places, I felt that the sweetness of this cake overshadowed the fragrance and texture. Personally, I may not reorder this cake. The chocolate spray-like substance around the cake could be omitted in my opinion. I did enjoy the cassis filling inside the cube-shaped choux cream.

This is the main store of the dessert available at L'effervescence next to Ebisu Garden Place. There are only three counter seats on the terrace for eating in, so it's more suited for takeout. The small corgi that came from Taiwan can sit skillfully even on the small chairs for food stalls. I tried a new dessert this time called Earl Grey Citron, and it was really delicious. It has a refreshing taste with the lemon and crispy pie folded into it, surrounded by the scent of Earl Grey, and the outside has a crispy white chocolate texture. Both the taste and texture of the cake are quite solid❣️

Shoe Cube Vanilla - ¥420
Pavlova Pistachio - ¥680
Located about a 10-minute walk from Naka-Meguro Station, just head towards Ikejiri-ohashi along Yamate-dori. The information on Tabelog was outdated, stating an 11 AM opening time, but when I arrived at 10 AM, they kindly opened the shop for me. Fantastic service.
Shoe Cube Vanilla is famous here, so I ordered it. It has a cute bunny chocolate on top of a square pastry. The inside has a good amount of custard cream. Overall, it was just a regular cream puff.
The Pavlova Pistachio was apparently featured on TV. It looks beautiful from the outside. The coconut flavor and texture surrounding it add a nice touch, complementing the gentle pistachio mousse. It was a well-executed dish.
There are only three counter seats, so it's nice to be able to eat in. However, since it's an outside counter, it can get hot in the summer.

Patisserie Cacao Et Paris in Nakameguro is a cake shop with a French owner!! Their signature cube-shaped choux cream comes in various flavors, and the cassis one I tried was extremely cassis-flavored!! The pistachio pavlova, one of their bestsellers, is among the most delicious pistachio cakes I've had, with a perfect balance of pistachio mousse and crispy meringue!! If you're curious about this well-known cake shop in Nakameguro that has appeared on TV multiple times, be sure to check it out!! #NakameguroGourmet #NakameguroEats #PatisserieCacaoEtParis #Cake #CakeDining #146DiningSpot #July30th

I visited around 6:15 pm on Saturday or Sunday and was able to smoothly place my order. Some items were sold out, but I was able to choose from half of the options in the case. I purchased the following items: Princess Mochi Cream for 670 yen, which had a nice chewy texture from the mochi and a rich cream cheese filling with a refreshing berry sauce, a perfect combination of Japanese and Western flavors. I also got the Musashikoyama Roll for 480 yen, which had a light cream with a hint of almond flavor and a refreshing sponge, easy to finish even though it was a large size. And the Choux cube Vanille for 420 yen, with a strong taste of chocolate on top and a flavorful custard cream inside, a special treat. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

From 10:00 AM on Tuesday, the shop is closed. "Cheery Tart ¥780" and "Peach Tart ¥780" including tax. They accept electronic payment. There is a variety of cakes and tarts, with the classic cube-shaped choux cream being a favorite. Prices are a bit high. This time I chose the refreshing peach tart because of the season and the hot weather. The tart was full of juicy peaches, very refreshing. The dark cherry tart had a lot of cherries but was not too sweet. The tart crust was crispy and went well with coffee. Thank you for the delicious treat!

I went to this restaurant after seeing the reviews on Tabelog, but the prices were higher than any of the photos. It seems like they keep increasing. "Pablova Pistachio" for 680 yen - delicious! Too delicious! The quality exceeds expectations! The coconut flavor, taste, and texture are amazing. The coconut is crispy, with more substance than it looks. The yellow-green dome, pistachio mousse is sweet and delicious! The mousse is smooth, and I didn't expect it to be this delicious. It has a hint of vanilla sweetness. There was a flyer in the store mentioning it was introduced on a TV show by Ariyoshi. "Sea Cube Vanille" for 420 yen - a common double cream puff with vanilla and custard. The only unique thing is the chocolate on top, but otherwise, there's nothing particularly noteworthy. It was just delicious. The pastry is not too crispy, more moist, similar to bread. There is a generous amount of cream inside. "Sable Chocolat (small tube)" for 630 yen - a gift for someone. The shop was small and cute! The staff were young and didn't seem to know much about the products, but I appreciate their service. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and there wasn't anyone else except me. Maybe because it's a bit hard to find?

While eating pizza at Seirinkan, I suddenly thought about how hard the staff members are working today, so I decided to buy something to take home. I stumbled upon some square cream puffs while looking it up. Hmm... interesting! However, I hesitated because I would have to walk in this scorching heat for about 10 minutes. But I decided to give it a try! This pastry shop is so cute. I hesitated again... but it's so hot outside! I went in! I felt kind of embarrassed doing this (laughs). I quickly bought 5 and headed back to the office. These cream puffs are light even though they are filled with so much cream and the pastry is firm. Impressive balance! I visited 100 famous restaurants for two days in a row, but this one is amazing. Thank you for the meal!

The owner chef is French. There seems to be a second store in Musashi-Koyama, and they have a Musashi-Koyama roll cake. The tarts and choux cubes are cute. The tart is topped with lots of fruits, and they also have seasonal limited edition tarts. The choux cube is a square-shaped cream puff. It seems to have custard cream and whipped cream inside the square. I'm curious about this square cream puff! However, this time I had to walk for a long time so I gave up on getting some sweets to take out. I bought the "Spiral," which contains alternating layers of the popular Sablé Chocolat and regular Sablé cookies. There were five white and five black cookies in the pack. The fact that they contained chocolate cookies with sea salt was what made me decide. The saltiness was not as strong as I imagined, but the cookies had a nice crumbly texture and were delicious. The exterior was pink and cute, but the interior of the store was a bit dimly lit.

I was drawn to the pink exterior of this place after having lunch with my son in the neighborhood. The cakes and pastries all looked delicious! I decided to buy four different kinds, but when I brought them home, my family quickly devoured them, so I ended up being the official secretary who didn't get to eat any...
- Strawberry Choux Cube (420 yen) - Highly recommended! Crispy outer shell with a creamy and fluffy cream inside with a whole strawberry!
- Princess Mochi Cream (670 yen) - Tastes like a strawberry daifuku and is very delicious!
- Earl Grey Citron (670 yen) - The refreshing acidity of lemon combined with the flavor of Earl Grey is exquisite.
- Vanilla Pudding (420 yen) - A moist pudding with a bittersweet caramel sauce that is superb! This might become a regular for me as well... Thank you for the meal!

Upon entering the shop, there were sparkling and shiny cakes lined up. It was a Sunday, but there was no line and we were able to change seats. The taste, of course, was top-notch. The best was the pistachio flavor! The bottom was covered with what seemed like chocolate and coconut sprinkles, which I, a coconut lover, couldn't resist! I want to go again, so I rate it 4.0.

Sweets Hyakumeiten TOKYO 65/100. Located 5 minutes from Naka-Meguro Station, if approaching from the Daikanyama side, you will encounter a steep hill. The store has a pop pink and black exterior with a squirrel logo. The interior lighting is dim, reminiscent of a night amusement park. Cookies and cakes are spotlighted. The energetic sales lady thanked me for taking lots of photos. The cake variety is extensive with yellow, pink, chocolate, white cakes, margarita, squirrel prints, and even panda on the roll cakes. The Pavlova pistachio (strawberry and pistachio mousse) in dome shape was featured on TV news. I purchased the new ★ Cassis Framboise @680, which looks like a merry-go-round. When you dig in with a fork, the raspberry sauce inside flows out beautifully. Surrounded by white chocolate, the moist and soft cookie base is delicious. The berry flavor is rich, making it my favorite mousse cake ever. The Chou cube Vanille @420 has a bread-like crust with light cream and custard layers. The squirrel print on the chocolate is cute. It's a fun to look at and an authentic place to eat. Thank you for the meal.

I had some time to spare, so I stopped by at Ichijirushi Ikejiri Ohashi. According to Tabelog, the shop is open until 7 pm, so I took a chance and went there just in time. The shop was shining brightly and seemed empty. A staff member came out from the back, and I quickly decided to get a cream puff topped with a squirrel monogram chocolate. The staff carefully packed it in a box, and I noticed photos of the chef, Tabelog awards, and medals hanging on the walls. When I asked if I could sit at the table outside to eat, the staff said it was okay and informed me that I could also have soft serve ice cream or cake. It was already past 7 pm, the closing time, but the shop was still open. I considered myself lucky to have made the purchase. The Square Chou Crepe Vanilla priced at ¥420 was my first time trying a square-shaped cream puff with a firm and coarse crust and custard filling. The quality ingredients used made it really delicious. The squirrel chocolate on top was almost too beautiful to eat. The shop also offered soft serve ice cream, which I believe would also be delicious considering the reputation of the store. They also had a sign promoting TV coverage, and the shop's location is approximately between Naka-Meguro and Ikejiri Ohashi. The friendly and helpful staff made it a pleasant experience, and I'm sure you'd have a great sweets time if you decide to eat in.

On this day, I found a cake from Cacao Et Paris at Shinagawa Dean & Deluca! I decided to take out the Chocolate Caramel Cake for 680 yen. The shiny glaze and the marguerite on top were so cute, I instantly thought "this is it," and it turned out to be from Cacao Et Paris. When I took a photo at home, my reflection was caught in the glaze, so I had to put a mosaic on it haha Inside, there are two layers of mousse. Is this chocolate... or caramel? Maybe tea? I couldn't quite tell (¯꒳¯٥) The chocolate mousse could have been a bit richer in flavor. Also, there's caramel sauce inside, but it doesn't ooze out, it's more like it's just "there." The combination of caramel and chocolate is nice. At the bottom, there's a slice of chocolate with the shop's signature squirrel design, and beneath that, there's a crunchy texture. It has a bit of saltiness too, which prevents the mousse from becoming too sweet. It's delicious. The fact that Dean & Deluca offers a variety of different shop's cakes makes it easy to try different things. When I go to a cake shop, I always end up buying a lot because I can't decide, but on this day, for the first time ever (!), I bought only one cake (¯∇¯٥)

Last time I visited, the cakes were all sold out... Finally, I was able to revisit!
- Cocoa et Caramel Tart (bottom left): Recommended for those who like sweet treats, the caramel flavor is a bit strong and the caramel filling is delicious.
- Calive Cake (bottom right): A simple chocolate cake that is rich but not too heavy!
- Pablova Pistachio (top left): Inside there's a strawberry jelly, crispy meringue with coconut - delicious although a bit challenging to eat!
- Mango Tart (top right): No need for explanation! The mango is delicious!
I recognized the squirrel logo from the shopping street in Musashi-Koyama! I didn't know there was another store...!

Recommended by a friend, I visited this small shop. Despite its size, the store is well-maintained, and I could comfortably choose my sweets from the beautifully displayed selection. I ordered a Calvados, an ice cream, and a café latte and enjoyed them outside at one of the three available tables. Luckily, one was empty! The Calvados was irresistible for chocolate lovers, with a rich flavor and nutty texture as a nice accent. The ice cream was also rich and delicious! I definitely want to come back to this shop!

Suddenly, the pink exterior of the shop appeared as I walked down a side street off the main road! Inside the black store, the glittering cakes were lined up like jewels.
*Pavlova Pistachio*
The airy mousse with a hint of pistachio lingers nicely in the aftertaste! The sweetness and sourness of the raspberries, the texture of coconut, and the crispness of the pavlova blend together, making it very delicious.
*Choco Bull Caramel*
The rich chocolate and the fragrance of caramel are delightful ❤️ The crispy cookie base at the bottom adds a crunchy texture to enjoy. The deliciousness beyond just the mousse is wonderful.
*Chou Cube Vanilla*
The square-shaped choux pastry has a thin crust. The custard and whipped cream were delicious without being too sweet. I'm curious about the other series too! They have various pastries like croissants, canelés, and cookies, all packed in cute bags with a squirrel logo. The tin cans for chocolate treats are also adorable ❤️ They seem perfect for souvenirs or gifts. There are three seats at the entrance where you can sit and enjoy your cakes, which is convenient for those who find it hard to take them home. I don't usually buy cakes, especially those with mousse or cream, but rather opt for sponge-based ones. This time, I wanted something visually appealing all-in-one, so I chose here. It was a complete hit, and I enjoyed the best cakes ❤️

The shop Mountain God has a location on Yamanote Street heading east from Naka-Meguro, just to the right after turning left at the traffic light. The Tart Cacao Etoile has caramel that is lacking, and the quality of the whipped cream is mediocre. The Pavlova Pistachio has pistachio mousse on top of coconut crust, but the combination doesn't seem to work well. The Chocolate Mousse has too much whipped cream mixed in, so the chocolate doesn't stand out. The Croissant Amande lacks the distinctive features of croissant dough, and the sweet almond slices on top were not impressive. Even the best-selling pastry at this place follows the same disappointing pattern. Mountain God's cakes lack uniqueness and have an old-fashioned style.
