Monk Bar @ Araki-cho, Shinjuku-ku. A fun bar with a chanting time, and of course, the charm is just like incense sticks? Laughing. It's been a while since I visited the Monk Bar, a bar I often used to go to for a nightcap. There are so many memories here. Every time I come here, it's so comfortable that I always end up deciding to take a taxi home. Laughing. Even though it's been several years since my last visit, tonight is no exception - the usual decision to take a taxi home. Laughing. But leaving that aside, the bartender at this place is actually a real monk. You can easily imagine it, right? He's really good at talking, so I guess that's why the atmosphere is so fun? Sitting at the counter, the homely atmosphere is the best. Many regulars come here, but strangely, everyone feels like they're acquaintances. It's a mysterious space. Occasionally, there's chanting time too. Enjoying plenty of delicious drinks while having a moment of spiritual cleansing. It's a strange atmosphere, but somehow it feels right. Maybe because we're Japanese? Laughing. Of course, there are also unique cocktails that are typical of the Monk Bar, like "Paradise," "Hell," "Lustful Hell," etc. The names sound like they could be from a sutra. In the past, I might have conquered these mysterious cocktails, but tonight, I'm just mindlessly ordering Jin and Tonic one after another. Drunk old men just want to have fun and not think about anything. Laughing. The cocktails are around 800 yen each, and the straightforward billing and reasonable prices are also appealing. So, after a long time, I revisited the Monk Bar. Tonight, I had a great time and enjoyed it until late at night.
