At 11:30 on a weekday, I found a shop near Sushizanmai. They were selling strawberry daifuku along the street, and I ordered soft serve ice cream inside the shop. However, even with many shops closed, there were still a lot of foreign tourists around, making the open shops very crowded. I was able to purchase it smoothly on a regular evening. The mochi was soft, and I had to be careful not to drop it. The thick mochi and the red bean paste inside were chewy and satisfying. The shop and the products are cute, so I thought it would be even better as a souvenir if the takeout containers and bags were also cute.

The daifuku was larger than expected, and the chunky red bean filling was just the right amount of sweetness, complemented by the tartness of the strawberry.
