RIGURAHI
On Saturday morning, I had a regular check-up in Kumano-mae, Arakawa-ku. I planned to go to a BM shop in Akasaka, Minato-ku after that, but couldn't due to urgent matters. On my way back, I wanted to eat thick soba noodles in Umeshima, Adachi-ku, but all the coin parking lots were full. So, I decided to head to the "Nitori Dining" at "Nitori" in Umeshima, Adachi-ku, which was featured on TV in the morning, but there was a line of about 30 people, so I gave up. I ended up driving along the Kandai and reaching Kita-Ayase! This restaurant, "Nami," has been in business for 15 years since it opened in 2006! It's a ramen shop that I always seem to find when I'm in trouble once a year. They have a dedicated parking lot (3 spaces). I arrived in front of the shop at 12:15 PM. When I peeked inside the door, there were 4 people at the counter and 2 people waiting inside, so it was crowded. I entered the shop as one person left. The name of this shop is written as "Nami," but there is no coastal feel at all in Kita-Ayase, Adachi-ku. The owner seems to be a surfer, and the interior of the shop has a faded tropical style. I sat in a wooden alcove-like space and watched Michael Jackson dancing on TV. It's nostalgic for me because "Thriller" was popular when I was in high school, back in the Showa era. The ramen here is often rich and thick, not the kind of ramen you eat as a finishing touch after drinking. I ordered the limited spicy miso ramen for 900 yen. Payment is made after eating, and the ramen was served in 8 minutes. It came with cabbage, bean sprouts, green onions, wood ear mushrooms, and half a boiled egg, with a large piece of chashu on top. The chashu was meaty and salty. The spiciness of the ramen comes from star anise and Sichuan pepper, not chili peppers, and it gradually builds up. The soup is so thick that the chopsticks stand upright in it. It's like eating medium-thick noodles from Asakusa Kaika-ro mixed in a thick soup! I was actually looking for a straight, chili pepper-based spiciness, so the ramen at "Nami" is always full of curveballs and interesting twists for those who like unique flavors. There was a photo on the wall of tomato salt ramen, I wonder how it tastes? Near Ayase-Kita Station, on the side of "Shobunuma Park," there are "Watai," "Musashiya," and "Nami," which are the top three ramen shops in Kita-Ayase! Thank you for the meal. Note: Kita-Ayase has a Chiyoda Line train depot, and the blue Romancecar from Kita-Senju waits here. I want to relax in a hot spring in Hakone after a long time. 🎵
