I have visited this restaurant a few times, but this is my first review. The main dish here is the Nikujiru Ramen, but I ordered the Nikujiru Don Level 3 (270g of meat). It comes with a separate soup that is the same as the Nikujiru Ramen soup. It also comes with an egg. I always use this restaurant when I come to Akihabara. The taste is strong but delicious, so I recommend everyone to try it out.

Ramen is served in regular portion, but you cannot increase the noodles. However, you can add more meat. The restaurant is spacious, so you can easily get a seat even during busy hours. The meat is well-seasoned and goes well with rice. Even if you're really hungry, the regular portion may be enough.

After 9 months, I visited the restaurant around 6:30 PM on a weekday and ordered the Meat Dipping Noodles Level 1 for 880 yen. I handed over my ticket and meat upgrade service voucher, then sat at the counter with 4 other customers. The dish was served in just 7 minutes. The noodles were thick, about 200g. The soup had a strong fish broth with soy sauce flavor, and there was meat in it. I couldn't really tell how much the meat was upgraded. The dipping sauce had a lot of oil, making the taste hard to discern. I liked the noodles, but felt that the balance between the noodles and soup was off. I tried dipping the meat in beaten egg, but it didn't mix well and didn't turn into a sukiyaki-style flavor. I preferred the ramen I had last time.

The portion was messy. This was before I even started eating. It was past 2 pm and not very busy, so there shouldn't have been a rush. I've tried their meat juice noodles before, but the meat didn't suit my taste. This time I tried the rice bowl, but the impression remained the same. It's like fried meat coated in a sweet and savory sauce, but it feels kind of powdery and not very appetizing. The pictures outside make the food look delicious, though. Also, you'll likely receive a coupon for extra meat or free rice with no expiration date every time you go.

I visited "Nikuju Men Susumu," located a few minutes' walk from Akihabara Station. I had known about this place for a while, and finally went when I was really hungry, as it seemed like a must-try from the photos outside the shop. At 6 pm, there were 3 customers ahead of me and 3 behind me. I checked out the ticket machine by the entrance, and saw options like Level 2 with 200g of meat, Level 1 with 130g of meat, and three types of rice for ¥100 each. Since it was my first visit, I went with the basic 130g of meat and a large rice. Here is what I ordered: - Ramen ¥880 - Large rice ¥100 I thought about getting the extra-large portion, but when I saw on the ticket machine that it was 400g, I decided against it. The large rice arrived, but it wasn't really large... maybe I should have gone for the extra-large after all? I'll explain more in the results below, but not going for the extra-large was the right choice. Then came the ramen. The soup was pitch black, but surprisingly light and not salty at all, with a hint of fish powder flavor. However, it lacked richness, and a lot of oil from the fried pork kept floating to the top. I read the instructions on the table and added garlic, but it ended up overpowering the little flavor that was there. The soup was a struggle to finish. The noodles were medium-thick and firm, cooked just right. And finally, the anticipated meat! It was coated in starch, fried, and then seared, with a thick, enticing sauce drizzled on top. I took a bite... and was disappointed. The excessive starch made the meat soggy, mushy, and sweet, not tasty at all. I'm glad I didn't get extra meat... the rice was supposed to save the meal, but the meat was so bad that it didn't help speed up the rice consumption. In the end, I'm relieved I didn't go for the extra-large portion. Overall, this place had the biggest gap between expectations and reality that I can remember in recent years. Goodbye, Nikuju Men Susumu. Rating: ★1.2. June 2023.

Around noon on a regular day, ignoring the long line at Tanaka Soba in front of me, I decided to visit this restaurant. I haven't seen many women here, but that doesn't matter, right? I chose the Nikujyu Don Level 1 from the ticket machine outside, which comes with 130g of meat. I sat at the counter and handed over my meal ticket. Everyone around me was slurping noodles. It seems I have no dining companions today. First, a raw egg was served. It came with a tool to separate the egg white and yolk. I decided to have both. I also received a voucher for an extra 100g of meat for my next visit. I wonder if I can eat that much... but I'll gratefully accept it. After a few minutes of waiting, my meal arrived. The soup with back fat was also included. On top of the rice were chopped seaweed, the main meat, kimchi, and green onions. It looked like a manly meal. The soup and meat had a rich color, giving the impression of a strong flavor, but it actually wasn't that strong. The meat was coated in starch and fried, then covered in a sweet and salty garlic sauce. Personally, I think a stronger flavor would be better. The meat slices were large, so it would have been easier to eat if they were cut in half. I mumbled to myself as I ate the kimchi and pickles on the table. I felt like I could keep eating endless rice. I added the egg, poured some sauce, but it didn't come out... I gave up timidly. The soup, despite its dark color, was surprisingly light. Maybe it's better to save the kimchi until the end. Despite all my ramblings, at 680 yen in this day and age, with an egg included, I thought it was good value for money. I'll come back next time clutching my 100g extra meat voucher. Thank you for the meal.

Looking for dinner in Akihabara. Checked the BM and found a place called "Nikujiru Men Susumu" nearest to Suehirocho Station. It seems like a place that might be less popular as the heat increases. Alright, let's go here today. - Spicy Nikujiru Men (Level 2) 980 yen - White rice (extra large 300g) 100 yen In just 5 minutes, a bowl that looks instantly like junk food was served. But wait, before that, can I have a paper apron please? Oh, it was on the self-service water dispenser. The bowl is hot, spicy, and has a strong flavor. Not rich, but just intensely flavorful. The sweet and savory soy sauce-based soup pairs well with garlic and curry powder on the table, making it even more junky. The noodles are thick and chewy. They are quite firm even as default. Not bad, but a bit more chewiness would be nice. The 200g of pork in Level 2 is large and filling. There are Level 3 and MAX options, but I think most people would be satisfied with this. The pork is coated with starch or something, so it absorbs the sauce well. Plus, the meat is tender and tasty. And of course, I'll have extra rice!

Although the restaurant's name suggests that noodles are the main dish, I always end up ordering the meat juice bowl. They have levels ranging from 1 to MAX, and this time I used a service ticket to get level 4. The rice portion may seem small, but there is plenty of meat, so it feels just right. First, I eat it as it is to savor the meat, then I add the raw egg that comes with it. Finally, I enjoy it all at once, and you can add toppings like pickled ginger, pickled cucumber, garlic, curry powder, etc., according to your preference.

I ordered a 200g meat juice noodles and a 200g white rice bowl. The 200g refers to the amount of meat, not noodles. The noodles are medium thickness and delicious when combined with the broth. The meat is sweet and savory, so I tried putting it on top of the white rice to make a bowl dish. I also made a stamina bowl by adding the raw egg that came with the meal. The pickled red ginger and cucumber were free to take as much as you want. I didn't feel too full, so maybe I still fall into the category of being young (laughs). It's very filling and highly recommended.

Last lunch with a friend. Started the day with gym training, then walked from Tsukiji to Akihabara. Played board games, which was my friend's hobby, and really got our brains working. Didn't want to refuse, plus the exterior was cool, so we went in. Bought a meal ticket - the top one, MAX, cost 2080 yen, so I went for the one below it: ramen with extra rice (400g) for 1080 + 100 yen. Waited at the counter for 5 minutes and got my steaming hot ramen with meat on top. The soup was hot, which was good, but lacked the bonito flavor. The noodles were so-so. The meat was a bit too much coated in starch. But hey, let's enjoy it without forming a bad impression. Cracked an egg into a separate bowl and enjoyed it like sukiyaki - great idea! Added garlic for extra punch. Putting pickled ginger on the rice made it even tastier. Hey, this is pretty enjoyable! Even if each element wasn't perfect, trying different approaches made it more enjoyable (delicious), just like training and food go hand in hand. Finished it easily. I used to be hooked on this place for a while. I had almost forgotten how much I liked it. But I thought I could handle level 3, so I bought a meal ticket. The atmosphere inside was nice and efficient. The food came out pretty quickly after ordering. Oh, right, this is the kind of meat they serve here. The sweet and savory meat was really delicious. The soup was also really tasty. I like the texture of the noodles, but it was a bit hard to eat with the plastic chopsticks – they were slippery. They should use wooden chopsticks instead.

Located in front of a famous ramen shop with long lines in Akihabara. If the former is considered Chinese noodles, then this place serves gutsy noodles. The ramen comes with green pepper-less shredded pork on top... which makes it easy to understand. This made me crave rice as well, so I ordered Level 2 (with 200g of meat) and a raw egg, and I was completely satisfied. This place seems to be popular among young men.

I came to Akihabara for a hobby event and sneaked out during a job switch at the venue for lunch. I had the meat juice dipping noodles (Level 1) with white rice (regular) for ¥980. The broth had a light color, the pork loin was coated with potato starch and was soft, and the noodles were hearty like Tokushima ramen with plenty of white rice. It seemed like having a raw egg was default, so I went for a meat-topped rice bowl with raw egg. It's a real man's meal and it's good!
