Hello~♪(^.^)/ 2021.12.28 Just to let you know, this will be a long one. Today, I came here for the end-of-year party at work. It's been a while since I've been to Ikebukuro. This is the city where I was born and raised until I was 23 years old. Now, only a handful of friends remain in this area. The manager of Tomikusu Sushi is one of them. For lunch today, we went to "Cuisine Est" on the top floor of the Metropolitan Hotel. This area has changed a lot since my childhood. The west side of the station used to have tennis courts. And this area used to be filled with shabby old apartment buildings. Now, there are all these impressive new buildings, it's amazing. As we entered, the entrance was so cool. It felt like going on an exciting cave exploration. There was a champagne bottle tower on the left side and everything was so fancy. We went to the right side where the restaurant was located. The entrance was really stylish. As we walked in, it felt like an adventure. Inside, everyone from work was already there. Am I the last one? Well, not really because I'm not late. But the view outside the window was amazing, with skyscrapers like Sunshine City and endless blue sky. The president sat next to me. I'm sitting next to Pippu♪ (Who's got a stiff shoulder? You do!) So, we opened the drink menu and... Huh? No beer on the menu? I asked the waitress and she said they have it. So, let's start with a beer toast. It's not on the menu, so I don't know how much it costs, but it's not my treat, so no problem. The wine prices are really high though. And sparkling wine for 33,000 yen!!! I can never afford that... And water for 1,300 yen, seriously?! Soon, the beer arrived. So, cheers to everyone for their hard work this year! Cheers~ Glug glug~ Ah, it's delicious! The bubbles are different. And now, the food arrived. There was a menu list on the table. Let me introduce the dishes on the menu. First, we had "Norwegian Salmon Mi-Cuit with Beet Emulsion Chutney." It's a fancy name for half-cooked salmon with olive oil and beet paste. The salmon was surrounded by a beautiful pink sauce. It looked like a fantasy dish. Let's give it a try. Yum, it's delicious! (Why are you speaking in Hokkaido dialect?) It's because it's salmon from Norway! The combination of salmon and the slightly sour sauce is really good. Next up, we had a selection to choose from. 1. "Fridge - Cod and Guanciale Amatriciana" 2. "Porcini Mushroom Risotto"...
