After work, I had a transfer at Shinagawa Station, so I decided to stop by "Ecute Shinagawa" inside the station. I found a very colorful patisserie with eye-catching fruits. There were many customers, and there were poles for queue management in front of the store. Although there was no line when I saw it, customers were coming in one after another. I decided to try this place called "Foundry". "Foundry" is a brand developed by Plesire Co., Ltd., a long-established confectionery manufacturer founded in 1907. They focus on the theme of "the best fruits", selecting the most seasonal fruits and ingredients nationwide, and pursuing a taste in pastries that surpasses the fruits themselves. The stars of today's showcase were "Apple Mango", "Crown Melon", and "Cherries (Sato Nishiki)". Since I like mangoes, I chose the "Apple Mango Verrine" without hesitation. When I got home, I will enjoy it with a cup of coffee. "Apple Mango" is a type of mango with red skin, known for its egg-shaped form, tropical and rich sweetness, and rich aroma compared to other mangoes. And "Verrine" refers to pudding. The "Apple Mango Verrine" is divided into three layers, with whipped cream at the bottom, pudding in the middle, more whipped cream on top, and six slices of cut apple mango used luxuriously. The Verrine contains mango, passion fruit, and coconut, with a fruity aroma more than meets the eye. In contrast, the whipped cream is moderate in sweetness and richness. However, the star is definitely the apple mango, with its freshness and strong sweetness truly embodying the essence of seasonal fruits. The Verrine and whipped cream further enhance its deliciousness. It feels like the "taste surpassing the fruit itself" has been achieved. It was a masterpiece full of the charm of seasonal fruits. The bill came to 864 yen. Thank you for the meal!
