To the "American diner ANDRA" in Inari-cho. This restaurant offers smash burgers. Unlike regular burgers that are made by shaping minced meat patties, smash burgers are made by pressing chunks of meat directly onto a griddle, creating a crispy exterior. The Hamburger Parmesan features a cheese sauce made with a blend of milk and three types of cheese - Parmesan, mozzarella, and cheddar, which is spread on the griddle for dipping. The burger is easy to eat till the end due to its not overly heavy taste. The Steak Over Garlic Rice is visually impressive and substantial. The garlic rice and steak are both delicious and to my liking. There are few places in Japan where you can try smash burgers, and the taste is dynamic and delicious. The restaurant has a great American atmosphere and I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance to go to Ueno.

Pursuing a rich cheeseburger, they put a hamburger in poutine cheese and poured hot cheese on top. Then, they cut the burger in half and served it! It was sizzling hot!!! The patty was meaty and stacked multiple layers, providing a satisfying bite! With a generous portion, you can enjoy an American-style burger here. The burger unique to this place was very interesting and delicious. ✨

I visited the restaurant during lunchtime on a regular day. It was quite crowded as I had expected. I tried the Classic Burger with bacon and egg toppings. I ordered the drink and potato set (Set A). The food was served in less than 10 minutes. The Smash Burger was indeed meaty, just like its name suggests. The seasoning was surprisingly not too heavy, making it easy to eat. I would like to try the burger with cheese next time.

Wow, it was amazing. The portions were huge. The sturdy and muscular owner who served the food added to the deliciousness factor. (Apparently, he used to be an American football player.) American food is known for being hearty and powerful, so having a big, muscular person serving you makes it even more immersive. The shop's specialty is the mashed burger, where the patty is smashed while cooking. However, I ordered the Cheese-In Burger and Beef Burrito. I must say, the visual presentation was top-notch! The gooey cheese inside the burger was something you wouldn't find in a regular hamburger. Sitting at the counter allowed me to see the whole cooking process up close, which was great. They poured a sauce made of bechamel and melted cheese onto a hot griddle, which sizzled and steamed like crazy. They sprinkled fried garlic and onions on top, then cut the burger in half and placed it in. The heat from the griddle kept it hot and the flavors intensified gradually. The high ratio of bechamel made it rich but not too heavy. The fried garlic added a nice touch. However, the portion was quite large, so eating a whole plate by yourself might get tiring. If you go with someone else, I recommend ordering the Cheese-In Burger and another dish to share.

Even on weekends, there is a bit of a line forming shortly after opening and they receive phone calls. They don't put cheese inside the burger, so I always order it super hot. It was a close call without beer. The burger has 2 patties and the cheese is really melty, topping it with thick-cut bacon was the right choice! The portion of fries was quite large, and I struggled a bit to finish the large size. Also, the Budweiser came in a can, but I should have asked for a glass, even if it wasn't chilled.

The other day, a pop-up shop of the In-N-Out BURGER, which can only be found on the West Coast of America, was set up in Ebisu. An In-N-Out homage burger is available for a limited time until June at this restaurant. So, after work the next day, I mustered up my energy and traveled a bit from Yokohama to Ueno!!! ◇DOUBLE-DOUBLE Animal style ¥2,500 (with fries and a drink) The hidden menu for the 8th-anniversary celebration, which is posted on the restaurant's Instagram. I haven't had the original one, so I can't compare, but it was just incredibly delicious. The Southern Island sauce may be the key to the In-N-Out taste? But it's not too overpowering and blends well. The signature of this restaurant is the smash patty style, where the meat is pressed on the griddle in a chunky state and cooked. The surface is crispy and fragrant, yet juicy and full of meaty flavor ❣️ It's a luxurious double patty. The buns are fluffy too, everything is just so delicious...! The side of fries is also generous, topped with spicy chili beans. I discovered a burger shop that serves the most delicious burgers ever. The meat is so flavorful and the more you chew, the more the delicious taste lingers. The burgers are American-sized and just one is very satisfying. All the other menu items were also great, I felt so happy. Whenever I have errands in this area, I will definitely stop by! I envy those who live nearby, but I can't go too often because I might gain weight. Lunch seems to be a better deal, so I recommend trying the cheeseburger!

I visited around 11:30 on a regular day. It's just a few minutes from Inari-cho and within walking distance from Ueno Station. There was one group of customers already there, and 2-3 more came later. I sat at the counter and ordered 2 Classic Cheeseburgers (Rg) for 1500 yen and a side of fries for 150 yen. The interior of the restaurant is clean and uses white as the base color with checker patterns in key areas. The food was served in 6 minutes. They use the smash method (pressing the meat on a griddle to cook), so it cooks quickly. The patties were 200g each, which is a good value compared to other places that usually serve patties around 120-130g. The patties had a crispy exterior and a medium-rare inside, which was just right for having two patties. The sauce was similar to an Aurora sauce with added spices, resembling a kebab sauce. The buns were not too sweet. There were only a few vegetables, focusing more on the meat in the burger. The fries were a generous portion and fried to perfection. Overall, it was a delicious and unpretentious burger experience, different from Japanese gourmet burgers. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the American diner ANDRA! The main reason was to try the special burger for their 8th anniversary, the "DOUBLE-DOUBLE Animal style". It's a burger that replicates the famous American burger joint's menu. My partner really wanted to try it, so we decided to go on a whim! The burger was quite substantial, with two smash patties, grilled onions, and a sour cream-based tartar sauce. On top of that, the fries were topped with spicy chili beans! However, the meaty patties and the sauce paired perfectly, making it easy to devour. The fries were the same, with the spicy chili beans being surprisingly delicious and easy to eat! We also enjoyed a couple of beers, KONA and Guinness. We were very satisfied. I hope ANDRA will continue to come up with creative and delicious burgers in the future. I look forward to it! I finally made it to @diner_andra at 11:30 AM, a place I've been wanting to visit for a while. I ordered the Classic Cheese Burger for ¥1,500, a side of POTATO for ¥300, and a PREMIUM MALT beer for ¥600, all tax included. When I arrived at 7:30 PM, they were sold out of hamburgers! But thanks to the kindness of Mr. Shioda, they were able to accommodate me. The restaurant was filled with American football decor, and Mr. Shioda himself was quite large, able to bench press 160kg. I opted for the Classic Cheese Burger with a Smash Patty Double, which was delicious and packed with flavor. The burger was hot and tasty from every angle. The generous portion of potatoes was also a treat. As a fan of protein, I also considered the Steak Over Rice, but ultimately went with the burger. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited a popular restaurant on a Saturday dinner time, but it was fully booked. I tried the Cheese-in Burger for ¥1800. It was so exciting! They pour macaroni-flavored cheese on a hot iron plate, sprinkle fried onions on top, and then place the burger on it. It stays hot for a long time, so you can always enjoy it fresh. The patty is smashed on the grill to make it crispy and chunky. The burger consists of buns, two patties, sliced cheese, tartar sauce, and taco sauce. The spicy patty with a hint of pepper, combined with the taco sauce, made it a unique and enjoyable burger. Dipping the burger into the cheese added an extra layer of flavor. I highly recommend this burger for cheese lovers.

Today is Christmas Eve. I had to pick up a 13,000 yen cake from the Hilton Tokyo at Shinjuku Odakyu Halc by 3:00 pm, but before that, my partner and I decided to grab a hamburger. We went to Andra in Ueno this time. We arrived right after they opened, and another couple arrived at the same time. We just managed to get the first seats! (like Satoshi would say) We rang the bell with a cat's paw print design to place our order. So cute! I ordered a burger with cheese inside, and my partner got the luxurious Harami burger with 150 grams of Harami and two 100-gram patties. We also got a buffalo chicken burger and beer. The beer arrived promptly. I ordered Guinness because I love dark beer. It has the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness! As I sipped on the beer, our burgers arrived. My cheese inside burger looked amazing with the melted cheese bubbling on top. It had a hint of curry flavor in the sauce, and it was delicious! The smash patties were so easy to eat, and scooping up the cheese was fun. The Harami burger was quite hefty, but the meaty flavor was delicious. The garlic sauce paired perfectly with it. Lastly, the buffalo chicken burger was made with boneless thigh meat, making it easy to eat. It was spicy and flavorful, with a Caesar sauce adding a nice acidity. Everything on the menu at Andra was delicious. The bill even had a dollar bill design, which was cool! This made for a great Christmas Eve breakfast. Thank you for the meal! This sandwich is described as "loved by the hero of Philadelphia, 'Rocky'". It is a sandwich with plenty of ingredients sandwiched between a firm, elongated bread. While watching the monitor showing NFL American football, it is a bit difficult to eat. The taste is simple, with the flavors of meat and cheese coming through straight, very American in flavor. Feels American too. The price is a bit high, but somehow satisfying.

Overtime for 3 hours. Unable to go anywhere now, so I decided to give up and head to the diner where I had been craving for a while (*´∀`*)ノ I ordered a Cuban sandwich and ginger ale, which cost a total of 1300 yen. In about 15 minutes, a voluminous Miami-style Cuban sandwich was served. The ginger ale can placed next to it looked small in comparison to the sandwich's size Σ( ̄。 ̄ノ)ノ It's not a 200mm can, it's a regular 350mm one. You can easily see the difference when they are placed side by side. The sandwich had thick slices of roast pork with a sweet sauce, layered with large slices of roast ham, making it visually appealing (*´д`*) It had plenty of cheese and pickles as accents. The sandwich was topped with a generous amount of potatoes, making me feel not just full but completely stuffed (and all this at such a reasonable price! I couldn't help but be impressed) I left the place feeling very satisfied. Thank you for the meal (*^_^*)
