I visited the restaurant craving for the spicy miso ramen with stir-fried vegetables on top. I arrived around 1:30 pm on a weekday and there were 2 people ahead of me waiting. I quickly purchased my meal ticket and waited inside the restaurant. It took less than 5 minutes to be seated. The stir-fried vegetables were crispy and plentiful, and the soup had a perfect balance of flavors. It was really delicious, especially because there was a lot of pork belly in it that day. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I love Nakamoto! Since it disappeared from Ikebukuro Nishiguchi, I visited the Higashiguchi branch. I love the Hiya Miso and Hokkyoku, but for the sake of my stomach, I choose the Hiya Miso with vegetables! I am a tsukemen fan at Nakamoto because you can adjust the sauce. It is very delicious, with a deep flavor and richness, the Spicy Ramen is the best. If there is one nearby, I always end up stopping by! The customer service is also very good, right?

I often eat cup noodles from the Arctic Vegetables for 1020 yen, but this was only my third time at the restaurant! I had Mongolian Tanmen, then Miso Tanmen, and finally tried the Arctic Tanmen for the first time. I used to always say it was supposed to be spicy, but now that I regularly eat Buldak noodles, I actually feel like I want it to be a bit spicier. When I mentioned this, I was told that my sense of spiciness is dying. Next time, I want to try the limited edition dishes.

I went before 12 o'clock and waited for about 20 minutes. There were many female customers, and some came to the restaurant alone. The staff were friendly. I had the Mongolian Tanmen for 890 yen. I like spicy food, so the level of spiciness was just right and the flavor was rich but not overwhelming. I enjoyed it until the end. I like crunchy vegetables, so I felt that the vegetables were a bit soft, but it was still delicious. I would like to go again.

There was a live event in Tokorozawa, so I got off at Ikebukuro for a change and visited Nakamoto-san's ramen shop. I usually always order Mongolian Tanmen or Hokkyoku, so this time I decided to try the cold Mongolian Tanmen. It's nice to have cold ramen in the hot summer! The taste was, as always, amazing! Since it's tsukemen, you can adjust the spiciness yourself, which might be good for those who don't like spicy food. However, please note that the spiciness level is higher than the Mongolian Tanmen.

This is a well-known restaurant. The Mongolian Tanmen has a unique taste, but the Miso Tamago Men and Hokkyoku are based on miso so they are not as strong. I ordered the Miso Tamago Men which is supposed to be less spicy than Hokkyoku, but for some reason it tasted spicier today. When that happens, I recommend dipping it in a raw egg before eating!

I ordered the level 6 spicy Miso Tanmen at this restaurant. I used to find level 5 spicy before, but today it wasn't spicy at all... Maybe I have built up a tolerance to spiciness? I was able to enjoy the depth of flavor behind the spiciness, and it was delicious. It was a mystery why they gave me two ladles.

Located a little off the main street from Sunshine 60 in the Ikebukuro area, this restaurant is known for its spicy ramen by Mr. Nakamoto. I used to frequent this place over 10 years ago when I lived near Tokyo, so this visit after a long time brought back memories. Despite arriving a bit late for lunch, there was still a line of customers both inside and outside the shop, indicating its continued popularity. The narrow entrance leads to a deep interior with a large counter in a U-shape layout. You start by purchasing a meal ticket from the vending machine, where the spiciness levels are indicated for reference. Not being a fan of very spicy food, I opted for the "Mongolian Tanmen (890 yen)." The staff took my order while I was in line, and the food arrived promptly after being seated. The Mongolian Tanmen consists of a spicy mapo tofu topping on a tanmen-style ramen. It was delicious, but I felt that compared to my memory, the spiciness had mellowed out and the soup's richness had decreased. To confirm my taste memory, I would like to revisit the original shop if I have the chance.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I usually eat the frozen ramen from Seven-Eleven. I played it safe and ordered the regular Moko Tanmen, but it wasn't spicy at all, so next time I'll try something a bit more adventurous. The bottle of beer was quite large, so I might go for a highball next time. I can't eat a lot, so ordering the noodles in a smaller portion was just right. They had hair ties and paper aprons available, which was very convenient.

I visited the restaurant on a weekday at 11:45 am, became the 15th person in line, sat down 15 minutes later, and got my food 7 minutes after that. The previous day, on Sunday at exactly 11 am, I saw a long line of nearly 20 people outside and decided to come back on a weekday. Even at 11:45 am, I was still the 15th person in line. This time, I tried the miso egg noodles, which I think I haven't had in years, maybe even over 10 years. The miso egg noodles I used to eat had eggs arranged like flowers, but this time they were split into two halves. It didn't quite feel like miso egg noodles to me, so I spread them out myself. First, I tried the soup... delicious. Despite being rated as an 8 out of 10 for spiciness, it was quite spicy. I pulled out the noodles... delicious. I asked for them to be cooked firm. I also had a half portion of rice with pickled ginger on top, which I ate with spicy bean sprout fried rice. I was sweating profusely. My face and even my arms were covered in sweat. Of course, I finished my meal, but I couldn't finish my drink. It felt like something was missing in terms of flavor. The Umayanagi Ramen at Nakamoto usually has a great balance of vegetable flavors that stand out amidst the spiciness, making it truly delicious. But this time, the spiciness overpowered everything else, and I couldn't taste the richness of flavors. I've been going to the Kami-Itabashi Honten branch more often lately, and I've noticed that the taste varies each time. Maybe that's why I felt the flavor was lacking. Perhaps it's better to go to the Kami-Itabashi Honten branch when eating at Nakamoto.

#Today's Spicy Adventure
■ Ikebukuro Station, Momocho Tanmen Nakamoto, Higashi Ikebukuro Store
MUSASHI - ¥1,020
Raw Egg - ¥90
Spiciness Level: ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆ (5)
Spicy adventure in Ikebukuro! Visited the Higashi Ikebukuro store for the first time ✨ This time, I tried the limited edition MUSASHI, which is a cold noodle dish with an Arctic summer sauce poured over it. Topped it with a raw egg! Enjoyed it with a beer.
Forgot to increase the spiciness level, but let's dig in! The generous amount of green onions and fried garlic on top is eye-catching, and the aroma is wonderful. Scooping up the noodles from the thick sauce, you can really taste the heavy garlic flavor, which is delicious! The dish is packed with vegetables, and the thick sauce clings to the spiciness. It's already a level 10 spiciness, so it's quite hot! Since it's a mixed noodle dish, maybe it's a good thing the spiciness didn't increase even more? Dipping the egg occasionally and eating it is the best. Garlic lovers will surely love this dish!

First time trying Nakamoto. I've always wanted to visit Nakamoto. Visited on a weekday just before 12pm. There were 3 groups waiting... but luckily we were seated almost immediately. I ordered the Mongolian Tanmen with half rice. The soup was spicy! The noodles were similar to champon. The vegetables and mapo tofu on top matched well with the rice. The soup was spicy at first, but as I drank it, it became addictively delicious. I would definitely go back if I have the chance.

Cold miso vegetable noodles with double the vegetables, extra noodles, half firm, with back fat and char siu pork. Highball. I've been on a diet but won't be able to go for a while so I indulged with this meal after 2-3 weeks. When I had white rice again, it was so delicious. For the cold miso, reducing the noodles and adding extra vegetables is the way to go. I often order the non-spicy menu items. The Hiyamiso soup has a strong bitterness from the red pepper, but when mixed with the oil from the stir-fried vegetables, it becomes mellow. I realized that vegetables can be sweet. However, this time the cooking had fewer vegetables and oil, and the spiciness seemed to be diluted.

Mongolian Tanmen for 890 yen (free extra noodles with the app), extra pork back fat for 100 yen, boiled egg for 90 yen, set meal for 210 yen (added mapo tofu & small rice). I lined up for the first time in a while and ate a lot due to being extremely hungry after a health check-up. Waited in line for 40 minutes! If I had known there were over 10 people waiting inside, I might not have lined up! The sign for "Gokujou Nurse" caught my eye, but that's for another time. However, the food was delicious as always, even with the high expectations. The service was excellent, bright, and outstanding. The soup was noticeably tastier than other places, rich and flavorful. I tried the topping of extra back fat for the first time, and it was fantastic for changing the flavor. It becomes milder towards the end, so it might be best for the second half of the meal. Even when leaving, there were still over 20 people waiting in line, which proves how good this place is. It's a great place, but it was surprising to see such a long line on a weekday after the Bon holidays. Thank you for the meal! (Please don't raise the prices anymore!)

- Miso Tanmen with five toppings
- Changed to konjac noodles
- Extra vegetables
- Extra pork fat
- Tried the Arctic flavored egg for the first time, just in case for future reference
- This was my first time changing to konjac noodles! Of course, regular noodles are much tastier, but this isn't bad either! With extra vegetables, my stomach was satisfied!

The summer in the Arctic costs 1,020 yen ❤️ Mongolian Tanmen Nakamoto Higashi-Ikebukuro store is a spicy ramen restaurant located a little off Sunshine Street, with ingredients like eggplant, bean sprouts, garlic sprouts, and lots of green onions. The summer limited edition "Arctic Summer" has a strong spicy and fragrant aroma, with a rich lard scent, and even though it is very spicy, it is packed with flavor. The satisfaction and sense of accomplishment you get from finishing it make you want to challenge it again and again.

Recently, I have been ordering delivery more often, but the options are limited to classic dishes like Hokkyoku, Gomoku Mongolian Ramen, and Mongolian Ramen. About six months ago, I used to be able to order Gomoku Miso Ramen for delivery, but I noticed that it has disappeared from the menu. Lately, I have been eating Gomoku Mongolian Ramen more frequently. I had some business in Ikebukuro, so I decided to revisit the restaurant to have some chilled Gomoku Miso Ramen. When I arrived at around 11:30, the place was already full, but luckily I didn't have to wait outside and could purchase my meal ticket. I ordered the chilled Gomoku Miso Ramen for 950 yen plus an extra 100 yen for extra pork fat. I was able to be seated after about 10 minutes. Perhaps due to the heat, I didn't feel the spiciness as much. The soup also felt a bit lukewarm, maybe due to the hot weather. The restaurant was full of people sweating and facing the challenge of spicy food, and even though the air conditioning was on, it still felt hot... (the kitchen seemed hot too). I attribute the slightly disappointing taste to the heat, and I plan to give it another try in colder weather.

An intruder entered the shop! I ordered the chilled tanmen with extra vegetables and noodles at the counter. It was only half full. The taste was just as good as the main shop! The spiciness was delicious, with a unique heat that you want to try again. I think I'll consult with my master next time and challenge myself with a spicier level!

I ordered miso egg noodles. This restaurant has a large number of seats, so it's good because you can easily get in without waiting too long. The taste is consistently delicious. For those who like spicy food, the spicy soup with richness and depth is irresistible. I will come back again.

I had always wanted to try Mokko Tanmen Nakamoto. Of course, there isn't one in my local area. I arrived at the restaurant around 9:30 PM and there was a long line, showing how popular it is. For my first time, I ordered the level 5 spicy Mokko Tanmen. It wasn't as spicy as I had expected. (Just my personal opinion) I thought about trying the Hokkyoku next, but the regular customer next to me ordered one that was twice as spicy. The soup was really red, so it looked extremely spicy.

Cold five-flavor miso tanmen for 950 yen, with no egg, less noodles, extra back fat on the side, and a student discount. Add a raw egg for 90 yen. I also ordered a cola for 210 yen. Luckily, when I went around 6 PM, there was an empty table. I wanted to try the limited edition fireworks dish today, but couldn't wait until 7 PM.
