I use the hometown tax payment system about 1-2 times a year. I love the view of the Jingu forest spreading like a sea of clouds, so I always end up coming during the fresh green season. I do think about visiting in a different season, but the 6-month expiration date always gets in the way (lol). So, this time, I visited during this season again. The adults ordered the "YU" course, while the children ordered the "KUSUNOKI" course. The "YU" course includes an appetizer or soup, fish dish, meat dish or rice dish, dessert wagon, and coffee for 6,900 yen. The "KUSUNOKI" course includes an appetizer or soup, main dish, dessert wagon, and coffee for 4,600 yen. Both courses come with bread and you can have seconds. I chose the White Asparagus Flandre style for the appetizer, and it was delicious! White asparagus tends to be watery in my experience (maybe due to being canned?), but this one had a great texture and was delicious. It was topped with egg in a mimosa style, and the sauce had a delicious buttery flavor. For the fish dish, I chose the pan-fried fresh fish. It had a gentle seasoning, and the fish was tender and I finished it in no time. However, up to this point, it felt a bit lacking in volume... The satisfaction level went way up after this! That's because of the Harajuku Original Seasonal Vegetable Curry Rice! When it was served, just seeing all those sparkling vegetables made my spirits soar!! How beautiful they were! And the curry roux was rich, with a roasted bitterness. It was an adult flavor and so delicious!! If you come to this restaurant, I highly recommend trying this vegetable curry as your main dish. It will make you so happy♪ Another thing that will boost your spirits is the dessert wagon. Six types of desserts are brought in a large wagon. You can choose as many as you like from them! (No seconds allowed) Can you believe how happy that is?! My husband chose all the types, while I chose four. They were all delicious, but the matcha tiramisu had a rich matcha flavor! And the strawberry shortcake was a bit greasy but not too sweet and delicious. The staff were very kind, even considerate of the children. (They brought the same glasses for the children, poured drinks for them first with a gentle voice, etc.) They also offered bread refills multiple times and if the tablecloth got a little dirty, they would place a white cloth on top. Everything was perfect, from the clean restroom to the amazing view, and the delicious food! I will definitely come back for the vegetable curry♡ Thank you for the feast (^ ^ )
