When I arrived before opening, there was already a line forming. The shop consists of a take-out bakery "Kashiya Shinonome" on the 1st floor and "Kissa Hantsuki" on the 2nd floor. Both shops are next to each other, with Shinonome on the roadside and Hantsuki on the shop side, so be careful not to line up in the wrong place. I tried the following items: ⭐️ Seasonal Cream Puff - Grape Flavor (650 yen) It has a crispy texture with a harder crust compared to regular cream puffs. Inside the puff, there is almond caramel and custard cream, with Nagano Purple grapes cut on top, and rolled with black tea cream. ⭐️ Roll Cake (550 yen) Recommended on the menu, so I decided to try it. A classic roll cake with vanilla bean whipped cream and a hint of whiskey. ⭐️ Earl Grey Tea (500 yen) Most customers were enjoying the cream puffs, which are a must-try at this shop. The interior has a bar-like atmosphere with a counter.

It was past 2 p.m., so the cream puffs I was looking for were already sold out. I just managed to order the last two pieces of roll cake, and it was deliciously moist. I was tired from walking, so I was able to relax with the roll cake, iced tea, and the stylish atmosphere here. It's a shop that is easy for one person or two people to enter.

The butter cake can be tricky, but the quality of the butter here, combined with the firm texture, makes it tasty. It has an old-fashioned and elegant feel to it. The variety of soda options at Half Moon is also a plus. Today, I had the roll cake and ice tea roll cake, both with plenty of high-quality cream that is smooth and easy to enjoy. The fragrant ice tea adds to the luxurious tea time experience. You can spend a relaxing time here, thanks to the high-end interior reminiscent of a hotel cafe. It's easy to see why this cafe is popular.

Seasonal Peach Choux 670 yen Chai Tea Latte 600 yen The choux pastry is firm and can be easily cut with a knife. It has a nice crispy texture with peach and raspberry cream generously filled inside. The cream has a strong aroma and is very delicious, but it's almost like a raspberry choux cream now? The interior of the store is bright and airy thanks to the large windows, giving a sense of both openness and luxury.

Dandelion Chocolate Factory & Café Kuranmae On the way to buy souvenirs, I unexpectedly stumbled upon a line of three people and a sign. Despite thinking that only enthusiasts would line up at this time, I found myself stopping by. (Although I had known about it before, I never expected to skip lunch and have a stylish café lunch...) At noon under the scorching sun, I lined up with the parasol ladies for less than 10 minutes... and entered the store in less than 10 minutes. Inside the store, there is a sideboard and a counter in the back, a large table in the front, and 4-person tables placed around. After ordering at the sideboard, we sat at our preferred seats. The atmosphere inside was calming with large susuki flower arrangements, indirect lighting, soothing background music, giving off a vibe reminiscent of a hotel lounge. Although the store has full-length glass windows facing the street, they are blocked by curtains, preventing the outside view and keeping the summer light out, creating a cool atmosphere. The staff consisted of three young people who provided attentive service. - White Peach Choux (Cream) ¥670 Standing at about 10cm tall and 8cm in diameter, I pondered for a moment on how to eat it... I ended up disassembling it, separating the cream on top and the choux pastry below. I cut the choux pastry into four pieces with a knife and ate the cream and white peach separately. The choux pastry was well-baked and pleasantly crispy. The cream was smooth, with a hint of peach essence mixed in. The sliced peach was finely crafted, making it easy to eat and enhancing the overall taste experience. It was not too sweet, not too bland, allowing the taste buds to savor the flavors. There was no need for a list of ingredients, as the handmade quality spoke for itself. - Chai Tea ¥600 An Indian-style milk tea known as "Chai". The tea provided was surprisingly authentic. The base tea leaves were unspecified (probably black tea?). I did not inquire about the spices used, so it remained a mystery. Cardamom, cinnamon, cloves are common spices, but ginger and nutmeg are also possible... My imagination ran wild, but I should have asked... Satisfied with the subtle sweetness and complex spice flavors. Overall, the café had a chic and simple atmosphere, in line with its image. Recently, unique shops have been gathering around the Kuranmae area, attracting a distinct atmosphere, especially at night when Kuranmae locals gather after work. I would definitely like to visit again at night...

Half Moon in Kuramae. This cafe, located along Kokusai-dori, was relocated around March of this year. Next to it is the Half Moon Roasting Research Institute, and the lovely smell of coffee wafts in front of the shop. I visited because I was curious about the cream puffs that I had heard about since the previous location. I tried... Guatemala Iced Coffee Seasonal Cream Puff The seasonal cream puff flavor was peach. It was generously filled with cream and had a beautiful shape. The texture of the choux pastry was good, and it matched well with the cream, making it a delicious cream puff. The calm atmosphere also gives off an adult cafe vibe. Kuramae Station. Along the Kokusai-dori street. Encountered after visiting Dandelion. Located on the second floor of Shinonome, a confectionery shop, but they moved in February this year. When it comes to cafes and Western sweets in the Asakusa-Kuramae area, this group is popular. Even after the move, the atmosphere remains the same, with a chic, natural, and woody interior. The seasonal cream-filled half-moon choux cream from Hangetsu is exquisite. Today's order: Seasonal choux cream with peach (670 yen) and Americano (iced, 570 yen). Today's coffee was from Rwanda, medium roast. After ordering and paying, choose a seat and the lovely choux cream and stylish iced coffee arrive. The choux cream is irresistible! The cream is a combination of fresh cream and custard cream with a hint of peach. The choux pastry is incredibly delicious. Originally located on the second floor of Kashiya Shinonome, the store was hidden halfway up a narrow staircase, which is how it got its name "Hangetsu" (half moon). However, it has since been relocated and is now a street-level store. It's a 3-4 minute walk from the station, with a luxurious design and interior that exudes charm and popularity. I saw a few people lining up, but I was able to get in smoothly, perhaps because it was a weekday. There are no reservations, so I was prepared to wait a bit, but it was worth it. You order and pay before being seated. When I visited around 4:00 PM, some items were already sold out. The seasonal fruit choux and Victoria sponge cake inherited from Kashiya Shinonome are popular, but I opted for the simple cheesecake, which was the only option left, filled with seasonal fruits, in this case, Seikei oranges. It was delicious, with a refreshing fruit aroma adding a nice touch, light and tasty. It paired well with the coffee, creating a lovely tea time experience. Next door, there is a takeout-only coffee shop called Hangetsu Roasting Institute, so if you're short on time or decide to give up on the line, it might be worth checking out. ☕️

The inside of the store was much noisier than I had imagined, bustling with groups of women. It may not be suitable for those who dislike noisy environments, but the spacious seating didn't bother me. It was my first visit since they relocated, and I was pleased to find that the previous ambiance remained, making it a truly wonderful place. Truly one of a kind!

The long, vertical shape is beautiful, and the pistachio and American cherry complement each other well. The choux pastry is crispy and fragrant, filled with chocolate crunch and custard, creating a well-balanced dish overall. The cafe maintains its lovely atmosphere even after the relocation.

First visit after relocation. I always look forward to the seasonal cream puffs! They tend to sell out quickly, so I haven't been able to enjoy them for a long time. I was happy to be able to order them this time. The rare cheesecake is light and smooth. The cafe mocha is made with dark chocolate, so it's just sweet enough and delicious to drink.

Popular café in Kuramae ☕️ Finally got to try their choux cream and it was amazing! I visited on a Saturday, even though it was raining, I waited in line for almost an hour! Truly a popular spot. The menu items I ordered this time: - Seasonal choux cream (citrus flavor) - Roll cake - Rare cheesecake The crispy choux cream with mascarpone cream and pink grapefruit was a refreshing combination! It's completely different from the usual choux cream, so I highly recommend trying it. The flavors of the choux cream change regularly, so I want to try more varieties. The rare cheesecake was rich but not heavy, and the addition of fruit was a nice touch ☺️ The roll cake was simple with plenty of fresh cream, but the soft texture of the cake was delicious! The quality is really high. Unfortunately, the Victoria sponge cake was sold out this time, but if it's available next time, I might end up ordering more sweets again. I want to go back for the Victoria sponge cake and to enjoy the choux cream again.

However, when I actually visited, it had a very trendy and stylish cafe atmosphere. I arrived shortly after opening time, but there were already a few groups inside and outside waiting. I hesitated for a moment and decided to line up behind the other customers. I was given the drink menu while waiting in line, and then the cake menu once inside. I ordered Tibetan iced tea and the seasonal choux. I was also interested in the rare cheesecake and Victoria sponge, but I decided to try those next time. The desserts were served in about 5-6 minutes. The spacious interior with high ceilings and large glass windows created a very pleasant atmosphere. The Tibetan tea had a complex and refreshing taste, while the seasonal choux made me want to try other seasonal flavors. Overall, I enjoyed the desserts very much. Thank you for the meal.
