Do you know about "Birthday Party Without the Person" (related to Johnny's entertainment) or "Senil Cake" (related to K-POP fans)? It seems like celebrating your favorite idol's birthday even without them present. The famous Dolce Marilissa is known for these cakes, which can be fully customized or semi-customized. I recently discovered this while researching for this review. Anyway, I have been eyeing this place for a while because I am craving colorful and cute things during this remote life. So, I went to visit. The shop is located in a residential area off the main street in Omotesando. Upon entering through a flower-decorated arch, you will find a well-maintained garden and courtyard. To the right is the shop, to the left is the workshop, connected by a showcase of their signature whole cakes and an eat-in space. Inside the shop, you will be greeted by cute and colorful mini cakes. What's interesting about their cakes is that even though the fillings are the same, the appearances vary. For example, the cheesecake comes in "Baby" pink, "Belle Rose" yellow, and "Daisy" pastel green. The cakes available that day were Premium Shortcake, Rare Cheesecake, Chocolate Cake, Mocha Cake, Mont Blanc, and Walnut and Caramel. Each had about three different versions. Choosing felt like picking a dress, and I ended up with an elegant purple cake. The Violet Berry cake I bought was around 918 yen, a petite decoration size suitable for one person. I spent some time admiring it at home. It's too cute! The top layer is a slightly thick white chocolate that was quite hard, making it messy to cut through. The inside is a chocolate cake with a deliciously thick layer of chocolate cream in the middle, complemented by the crunchy texture of walnuts. The mint leaf on top refreshes the palate, making it easy to finish in one go. The pearl and gold beads on the whipped cream turned out to have a citrus flavor, adding a nice touch to the overall experience. Despite the higher price point, it was a rewarding sweet treat. By the way, when I thought about which Johnny's idol would be represented by purple, I realized it would be Kishi-kun from King & Prince. As a fan of Sho Ren, I was content with this choice!
