東京旨いもの食べ歩き
I visited "Poisson Ailé New" located on B1F of Shin Marunouchi Building on this day. This bakery is popular, with a line forming in front of the shop. Upon closer inspection, there is a sign indicating that those buying bread should go left, while those dining in should go right. I entered the shop from the right and was immediately greeted by the staff who led me to a stylish seating area towards the back, which had about 8 tables. I had made a reservation for the "Menu POINT (6,000 yen)" course, which includes food and a free-flow drink option. The variety of drinks available for the free-flow option was impressive, including orange wine and fresh fruit cocktails. I chose sparkling wine for my wife and Heartland beer for myself, both of which were refreshing in the scorching heat. The first dish was a platter of 5 appetizers, featuring octopus carpaccio, gorgonzola potato salad, salmon ratatouille, various hams, pate, olives, and peach compote. It was a generous spread of delicious dishes. Three types of bread were also provided, each with a lovely wheat aroma that paired well with the appetizers. It was a delight to have such high-quality bread available for all-you-can-eat. We enjoyed white wine and a fresh fruit cocktail with our meal. The peach cocktail was particularly luxurious and delicious. As we finished the first serving of bread, the staff promptly brought more, this time with a different variety of bread, all of which were exceptional. Next, we ordered orange wine and limoncello soda for drinks. The second course was "Ahi-Ajo" with a choice of shrimp or octopus with potatoes. We opted for shrimp, which was delightful with the generous garlic oil sauce. The additional bread selection included cardamom and fig with walnuts, chocolate, and more, all of which were sumptuous. By this point, we were quite full, especially after enjoying the main course of rare beef steak, served with flavorful caper sauce. The meal was accompanied by a Napa Valley red wine and sangria, which complemented the meat well. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the side vegetables were cooked to perfection. Finally, we ended the meal with herbal tea before settling the bill and leaving the restaurant. The value for money at 6,000 yen was unbelievable, making it a great option for gatherings with friends. The staff kindly gifted us some bread to take home, adding to the overall wonderful experience. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the delicious meal.
