SAMA Meiji Jingu-mae store Personally, I might like this one better! As of July 25, 2022, the Tabelog rating is 3.08. Yes, on this day, I was recording in front of Meiji Jingu again. Are you still doing that? Yes, it seems so (laughs). And the BA.5 is increasing at an incredible speed! Will there be 50,000 people just in Tokyo this week? Kanagawa is also breaking its record. Even though there is no need, I keep looking for restaurants every day, making working from home meaningless. People who are working hard are facing risks, but those who are obsessed with searching for restaurants... Your life is already over! So, I stick to my usual "takeout lunch." I arrived early, so I walked towards Harajuku. Harajuku is crowded with people... It's no wonder that the numbers keep increasing. While waiting at the signal near Takeshita Street, I found a Hokkaido soup curry specialty store! I can't not use this (laughs). Sorry for the gross Japanese m(__)m. It seems that it opened around the summer of 2018. I think it used to be a curry restaurant, but it's a completely different store now. It was a plain store called "Akasha," right? I think I used it once before. It was in 2015, I see. The place is on the 2nd floor of a building next to the Ryuno-ko 3.58, a famous Sichuan restaurant near Takeshita Street along Meiji Avenue. There was also one in Shimokitazawa, but it closed due to a fire. It's a chain store with many stores in Hokkaido, but in Tokyo, there seems to be only the Kanda store and this one. Soup curry with plenty of vegetables, gluten-free? So maybe it's better than always eating curry, right? So, the store name is "SAMA Meiji Jingu-mae store," operated by Hybrid Japan Co., Ltd. Originally, they were in the travel and communication business, but in 2004, they made a major shift in their business and opened the first "Soup Curry SAMA" store, which continues to this day. In addition to directly operated stores, they also have franchise stores, and their slogan is "Making soup curry a part of Japan's food culture!" There was a time when soup curry was a big trend, but now it seems to have calmed down, and it's a critical moment, isn't it? I climbed the stairs to the 2nd floor. When I opened the wooden door, there was a U-shaped counter and table seats. The decorative windows on the wall block the sunlight, creating a moody atmosphere even during the day. That's probably why there are many female customers and young people. It still retains the old-fashioned ethnic style. The BGM is ambient techno. Hmm, isn't it nice? However... it's quite expensive. When I mentioned takeout, the female staff explained the details to me. I had decided on the "Hamburger Curry," but it seems I have to customize various things first... That's the Hokkaido soup curry way. ① Soup choice There are 5 types of base soups to choose from, which makes it difficult to choose!! ・ Tomato soup Basic Standard ・ Coconut soup Sweetness Rich +100 yen +tax ・ Japanese-style light soup Light broth Basil ・ Shrimp soup Light Shrimp broth ・ Creamy shrimp soup Soy milk Creamy +100 yen +tax I don't like extra charges, so I'll pass!! Considering the compatibility with the hamburger, I think the basic "Tomato" is the best choice, but when I asked the female staff for advice, she recommended "Shrimp"!!? I don't think shrimp broth goes well with hamburger, but she said there is no discomfort, so as a lover of crustaceans, I have to try it! ② Curry choice ・ Chicken cartilage and double cheese with colorful vegetables curry 1,370 yen +tax ・ Bone-in frank and charred cabbage cheese curry 1,420 yen +tax ・ Ground meat-filled dumplings curry with coriander 1,420 yen +tax ・ Chicken curry 1,180 yen +tax ・ Hamburger curry 1,180 yen +tax ・ Pork curry 1,280 yen +tax ・ Vegetable curry 1,100 yen +tax ・ Keema natto curry 1,100 yen +tax ・ Chicken vegetable curry...
