Around 12 o'clock in the afternoon, I visited the restaurant. I had actually been here about 3 years ago, and it seems like it has become more popular since then. The restaurant was about 80% full, probably because it was lunchtime. By the way, the prices on the menu had increased by about 100 yen each. Lunch was around 1000 yen. The interior of the restaurant is stylish with a blue hue and has a unique foreign feel, which I personally really like. The lunch here includes a "main dish + side dish buffet", and the buffet offers not only rice and soup but also proper side dishes like mapo tofu, flower rolls, fruits, and almond jelly, making it quite luxurious and enjoyable. Due to the crowd, some items on the buffet menu were occasionally out of stock. It seemed like everything was replenished by around 12:30, so it might be better to go at that time. I had thought I should go early to enjoy the buffet, but I realized that going too early is not a good idea. The buffet menu included rice, kaki-tama soup (possibly changes daily, quite thick with tomatoes), flower rolls (very filling, especially delicious when dipped in hot and sour soup), warm soy milk?, mapo tofu (not Sichuan style, not very spicy, similar to Cook Do's mapo tofu), stir-fried cow stomach? and onions (moderately spicy), seasoned egg, steamed egg custard, almond jelly (tasted quite authentic), fruit punch, purple jelly (mild taste, not sure what it was, not replenished). The beverage options were lemon water, cafe au lait? (quite sweet), milk (good for soothing the stomach after spicy food), and tea (oolong tea?). There were quite a variety of drinks available. There were no hot drinks. [What I ordered] Mala Tan (1078 yen) I wanted something to warm me up on this cold day, so I chose Mala Tan. It took a bit of time for the main dish to be served, probably because it was crowded, but I enjoyed the buffet so it was not a problem. When the server brought it out, I was surprised by how big the bowl was. When I tasted it, it was quite spicy! It had bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, sausage, fish paste balls, tofu skin, sweet potato glass noodles?, cabbage, and chili peppers, among other ingredients. Each ingredient was plentiful, and I thought the main dish alone was worth the price. It wasn't mind-blowingly delicious, but I appreciated the non-Japanese flavor. It was really spicy though. It was delicious when I dipped the flower rolls from the buffet in it. Overall, it was satisfying with good cost performance, but it was a bit disappointing to see that the bill was 1078 yen despite the menu stating 980 yen before tax. Isn't crossing the 1000 yen mark quite significant? Well, it's a common thing at foreign cuisine restaurants, right? Thank you for the meal!
