On a holiday afternoon, I decided to take a leisurely ride on my motorbike towards the Sakura Shinmachi direction, passing through Setagaya-dori and Setagaya Kanai-sen street. Along the way, I spotted a few people lined up in front of a bakery - it seemed intriguing, so I decided to stop by. The bakery, named Bäckerei Brotheim, had a German name and a charming interior. Due to the limit of 4 customers at a time, I waited for my turn to enter. Inside, I found a variety of bread such as ham sandwiches, cheese bread, cream bread, potato bread, and more. Grateful for the Thanksgiving promotion, I received a complimentary eco bag too. I also enjoyed a hot cup of coffee offered by the staff. Back home, I sliced the cheese bread and indulged in its sweet and cheesy flavor. The potato bread, with a generous potato filling, impressed me with its simplicity and buttery goodness. The bakery's cozy atmosphere and delicious bread made for a delightful experience. Next time, I might visit by car to try more of their offerings. Overall, a fantastic bakery worth visiting again. Thank you for the meal!

I used takeout service. When I arrived around 4 pm on a holiday, some items were already sold out, but there were still plenty left. There were also various delicious-looking Western-style sweets, but I ordered croissants, cream buns, and red bean buns. As soon as I brought them back, the croissant was described as having a moderate amount of butter, with a very crispy and delicious taste while still suppressing the aroma of butter. The cream bun had custard cream and was also delicious. The red bean bun had a French bread-based dough, giving it a new texture. The Western-style sweets looked very good, so I would like to go back and buy some more.

I visited a well-known German bread shop after a long time. It's around 9 am, so it's not very crowded. I bought a cheese bread, croissant, and Kaiser sandwich. I always buy the croissant when I come here because it has a great aroma when baked. I bought the cheese bread and Kaiser sandwich for the first time. Both have a crispy surface and a soft, voluminous texture that is easy to eat. The cheese in the cheese bread adds a nice accent, and you can easily eat it all in one go. The Kaiser sandwich with pepper sinken (ham?), onions, and cheese was a perfect match for the soft bread.

On Saturday and Sunday around 4:45 pm, I visited and was able to smoothly make a purchase, however, about half of the items were already sold out. The cannoli for 265 yen had plenty of custard cream squeezed on top after ordering, but due to the heat, it started to lose its neat appearance after about 10 minutes, so I recommend taking photos quickly. The custard cream was rich and the dough had a wheat flavor with a crispy texture. The croissant for 211 yen had a subtle buttery flavor with a salty kick, making it crunchy and dense. The French anpan for 204 yen had a thin dough but still had a wheat flavor, and the sweet red bean paste inside wasn't too sweet, with a fragrant sesame taste. The Ficelle butter for 251 yen had a strong taste and aroma of French butter, with a crispy outside and fluffy inside, making it a favorite bread. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Brodheim as I love German-style bread. Walking through the residential area from Sakurashinmachi Station North Exit, a cute building suddenly appeared! This is the place I was looking for. When I arrived, the shop was small but crowded with customers. It seemed like they were regulars or familiar with the shop. I wanted to buy my favorite Kaiserzemel, but they were sold out! The apologetic staff informed me that they start selling at 9 o'clock. It was already past 8:20 and I couldn't wait until 9 because I had other plans, so I reluctantly bought a pretzel and went home. - Laugenpretzel ¥213 - Mandel Pretzel ¥293 When I got home, I enjoyed the pretzels with my family. They tasted like traditional pretzels, neither exceptional nor bad. But I liked the comforting feeling of not trying too hard. If I have the chance to go again, I would love to try the Kaiserzemel next time.

Located about a 10-minute walk from Sakurashinmachi Station, this bakery blends seamlessly into the quiet residential neighborhood. The exterior is designed in a European style, giving the shop a unique atmosphere. Inside, the space is small but cozy. The bread is displayed in a showcase, and customers can ask the staff to pick out each piece for them. I tried the following items:
- Kartoffelkase (565 yen)
- Croissant (211 yen)
- Baguette Rechandelle (198 yen)
- Focaccia Pizza (290 yen)
All the bread was carefully made and delicious, although the slightly dry texture might not suit everyone's taste. Personally, I prefer bread that is more chewy and moist, so I didn't have the best impression of this bakery. However, I think those who enjoy this style of bread will really like it. Lately, I've been enjoying exploring different bakeries, so I would like to visit this place again when I'm in the area.

I visited two bakeries and the other one was Beaucoup Breadhaim. I bought Bacon Epi, Berliner, Pain au Chocolat, Laugen Bretzel, Cheese Laugen, Bacon Cheese Roll for 1,842 yen, which is cheaper compared to Viron. The Bacon Epi that I always buy when I see it was chewy and had a nice salty bacon flavor, it was delicious. Overall, the other items were also tasty. I recommend this bakery where you will want to visit again.

This is a bakery recommended by a senior colleague as delicious. Baguettes and croissants are particularly favorite. Highly recommended for those who like hard bread. The prices are reasonable, so it's definitely worth coming back!

A bakery in Sakurashinchou known for its German bread. Visited around 9 AM on a holiday. Parking is available for 2 cars. The eat-in area is currently closed, only takeout is possible. The shop is small, with a capacity for about 4 people. Purchased the following items at the counter for takeout. Only Visa and Mastercard are accepted for credit card payments, so be aware.

■Egg Sandwich - ¥585 ☓
A regular egg sandwich that is toasted. The price is too high for a sandwich with just butter and onions.
■Bacon Cheese - ¥225 △
The bread is soft and has a good texture, the cheese is rich, but the portion is small.
■Wurstkäseck - ¥345 △
You can choose between spicy sausage and regular sausage, chose the spicy one. The spiciness of the chorizo was too strong, overshadowing the cheese and the bread.
■Croissant - ¥211 △
The exterior is crispy, but the interior is not fluffy, leaving an unsatisfactory texture. The wheat flavor is strong with a bitter aftertaste.
■Meat Toast - ¥648 △
The toast was too soft, and the cheese, meat, and parsley were overpowering, not allowing the bread to shine.
■Meat Pie - ¥383 △
Similar in taste to the Meat Toast, with the pie crust being the only difference. The pie crust was not that great.
■Anchovy Focaccia - ¥550 △
Tasted like eating pizza, with a firm focaccia that was not to my liking. The anchovy and other toppings were delicious.
■Focaccia Olive - ¥550 △
With plenty of black and regular olives, the saltiness was overpowering. Overall, I found this shop to be rather mediocre, not hitting the mark with their dishes. Perhaps if I had ordered their signature German bread, the outcome would be different. Thank you for the meal.

Half size of Flüftebrot for 728 yen, Bacon Cheese Roll for 225 yen, Chestnut Pie for 360 yen, and Rodév Fruit for 503 yen. I'm hooked on the Bacon Cheese Roll. The Chestnut Pie has plenty of chestnuts and is wrapped in layers of crispy pastry - the perfection of it is amazing!

A famous bakery located close to Sakurashinmachi Station. I stopped by on the way to a nearby public bathhouse. I went late in the day and many items were already sold out. Next time, I want to visit earlier to buy what I was looking for.

First visit. German bakery. The name of the bakery apparently means "hometown of bread." I visited in the morning. Since it is a German bakery, I wanted to buy a Kaisersemmel, but they were already sold out. The other German-style breads were all big, so I gave up on those. Wurstgebäck (345 yen + tax) translates to "sausage baked good"? German is difficult. In short, it's a hot dog. The bread is not the usual fluffy hot dog bun. There are spicy and non-spicy sausages, but I bought the non-spicy one. Meat pie (383 yen + tax) - A meat pie with minced meat cooked in tomato sauce. For some reason, this one had an English name.

Visited on 9th July 2023 at 13:31. Had to wait a bit before entering as only up to 4 people were allowed inside. The customer area was small, about 2-3 tatami mats, with bread displayed in the showcase. Asked the staff for recommendations and got a Cream Pan (202 yen) and a Croissant (211 yen), both freshly baked. Also got a Bacon Epi (289 yen) and a Petit Pain Chocolat (229 yen) at the counter (prices excluding tax). They were simple yet delicious, with reasonable prices.

Visited on a weekday at 10:00 AM in June 2023. The place was calm with only two customers. A variety of fresh-smelling bread made from wheat was displayed neatly. It appears that taking photos inside the shop is prohibited.
Cream Horn (255 yen): The pastry's crust is crispy, and the cream is injected after ordering. The cream filling is generous and rich, making it very satisfying. Both the bread and the cream were delicious.
Egg Sandwich (585 yen): The sandwich bread was exceptionally fluffy. The sandwich consisted only of egg and lettuce, with a generous amount of filling. The lettuce was thinly sliced and not too overwhelming. Besides these items, there were many other hard bread varieties on display in this German bakery. Thank you for the meal.

"Baeckerei Brothaus" is a charming bakery located just a 5-minute walk from Sakurashinmachi Station, resembling the quaint town of Rothenburg in Germany. The exterior of the shop is lovely, and the interior radiates the rustic charm of a German countryside town. In addition to German bread, they also offer French and Italian bread, with each product labeled with the corresponding country's flag for easy identification. I purchased the "Meat Pie Hornichen," which was absolutely delicious! It had been a while since I had a meat pie, and I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. The "Hornichen" is like a German croissant, light and easy to eat, especially when paired with a salad. An added bonus is that the bakery has two parking spaces, which is rare for a bakery in Tokyo. Don't miss out on the experience of visiting this place for its ambiance and bread!"

In search of delicious bread, I wandered around Sakurashinmachi to visit various bakeries. About 10 minutes away, I found a cute shop with a nice atmosphere. I bought a cream bread, which was delicious! The shop allows customers to use the benches outside, which was very convenient. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

Located a 5-minute walk from Sakurashinmachi, Bäckerei Brotheim is a popular bakery with reasonable prices. I arrived at the store on a weekday at 10:30, with one customer already there and two more following behind. This was my second visit to the store.
I purchased the following items:
- Wurstgebäck (354 yen): A bread with a long sausage filled with melted cheese. It is a voluminous and satisfying choice. There are also spicy variations available.
- Ficelle Butter (258 yen): Despite the title suggesting milk, there is no milk in this French bread. It is a delicious plain French bread.
- Bacon Cheese Roll (226 yen): A bread filled with bacon and cheese, baked to perfection. The bread itself is soft and tasty.
Overall, the total amount spent was 838 yen. The bakery does not allow photography inside. The food was delicious, and I enjoyed my meal.

We visited the popular bakery "Bekkerei Broadheim" in the town of Sazae-san, Sakura Shinmachi. It is a charming European-style bakery located about a 10-minute walk from Sakura Shinmachi Station. Inside the shop, there are various breads and pastries, all looking delicious. While struggling to choose what to buy, we made our selections:
- Cream Horn 244 yen: A baton-shaped pastry filled with cream of just the right sweetness. The crispy pastry had chocolate cream options as well.
- Quiche Cheese 334 yen: A quiche with cheese and green onions. The crunchy texture of the onions complemented the sweetness of the cheese, making it delicious.
- Focaccia Pizza 275 yen: A generously topped pizza with a good portion size for its price. A cost-effective item.
- Apple Pie 330 yen: An apple pie packed full of apples. The balance of tartness and sweetness made it enjoyable for both adults and children.
- Mandel Pretzel 283 yen: A crispy pretzel with sugar coating and sliced almonds on top. This allowed us to enjoy a variety of flavors in one item, and it was very delicious.
While the exterior of the shop has a charming German-style appearance, stepping inside revealed not only German treats but a variety of breads from different countries and regions, such as quiches, pizzas, and apple pies. With a wide selection, it would be interesting to visit with family and choose items based on individual preferences. The homely atmosphere made us want to come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited this newly opened bakery recommended by my son who lives nearby. The variety of breads made it hard to choose, but each one had a delicious flavor. The quiche, in particular, had a perfect balance of bread and filling, a satisfying weight but I wanted more. I will definitely visit again.

The title already says it all - this bakery can be considered one of the top shops supporting Japan's bread culture. I had visited this place before, and on my recent visit, the excitement of stepping into the store was just like that of shops like Kobe Komuchinowa, truly a wonderful bakery. I bought several bread items, and the experience was just as impressive as before. The croissants are still among the best in Japan, with exceptional quality. What surprised me the most this time was the thinly sliced sandwich bread. I forgot its special name, but this bread was incredibly delicious. Even when thinly sliced, it remained moist and the more you chewed, the more delicious it became. This sensation is similar to what you get from Sohondaizawa Pleasure these days. Whether you are a bread lover or someone who doesn't eat bread often, I believe that trying the bread from this place will make you love bread even more. I highly recommend trying it.
